One Day More!

One day more! Another day, another destiny. This never-ending road to Calvary;
These men who seem to know my crime,Will surely come a second time.
One day more!
~Jean Valjean, "Les Miserables" (the musical)

This quote is quite fitting for today's post, because:
1. The Six Little Curly Fries have a grand total of 1 more day of school (excluding finals) and
2. I have a recent obsession with Les Miserables.
But I'm getting ahead of myself - theme song time!!!
La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves the summer, and Les Mis too! That's Virgil's woooooorrrrrrrllllldddd!!!!

So yeah, ONE DAY MORE!! I'm not one of those people who really despises school, but it's time for it to end, and for summer vacation frivolity to begin! It's too hot to be in school now. We should have ended like a week ago, but I'll survive.

The Memorial Day parade was yesterday, and the 4BandCF were all bustin' our butts out there in the sun. God, it was like ninety degrees. I died. >.< The clarinets were always on the wrong foot.... MOMO!!!
Lol jk. I didn't see if Momo was on the right (that would be LEFT!) foot.
I finished reading Les Miserables yesterday, and IT WAS LIFE-ALTERING. Like seriously, this is the best book I've ever read since Looking for Alaska (that excludes all the Harry Potter rereads, mind you). I saw the musical a couple months ago, and I thought it was amazing, but the book has so much more of an intricate plot that isn't even touched on in the show! Marius especially has a lot more depth & backstory than what is conveyed in the musical. Marius & Cosette 4 ever - officially my new favorite pairing of all time!

Also, there was all that forgiveness/redemption/Jesus-y message, but I won't talk about it.
Silver candlesticks! Best symbolism ever? Yessssssssssss. <3 the bishop
Speaking of books, THE WARLOCK CAME OUT LAST WEEK!!! I still haven't read it, though - I'd like to finish rereading the series before I read the next installment, because I want to completely understand what is going on. Needless to say, I am SO PUMPED to read Scott's new book. Freaking DANU TALIS. The end of The Necromancer was such a killer. The two that are one, the one that is all. And there's only going to be one more book after this one, and then the series will be over! :( I'll need to find another fantasy series to cling to... *sigh* (little voice: maybe Virgil will stop reading YA fantasy novels? Virgil: NEVERR!!!)

Speaking of books, I recently reached like 16k on my current writing project. That might not sound like a lot to NaNoWriMo-ing people, but I value this 16k over both 50k novels of November '09 and '10 combined, because they are (in my humble opinion) good quality words. I kind of hope that I finish it before June 30th because that's the deadline for my Createspace coupon (from Nano '10 winner goodies) but I might not be done by then, so we'll see.

That's about it. XD lots of happiness in Virgil's life right now! Yippee!!
 Best wishes :)

Lynda's first wedding...

So I'm currently sitting at the table with my family and another Chinese family. It's the cocktail part of the wedding. My very first wedding!!! It's so prett here there are marble columns and decorations that are so pretty. It's all really fancy and stuff. The color theme is pink and white, which could be bad(then again, all color themes can go awry if it's done badly) but they've made it so pretty. The pink is this vibrant and bright pink that's really quite gorgeous. And then the white is a nice snow white ( and not thode awful off-whites or blindingly fake whites) that works well with he pnk. The flowers are all white and pink. The centerpieces are lovely. There's this Chinese feel to the whole thing too cuz there are red lanterns and "大喜"s that are typical of a Chinese wedding. The whole thing is done nicely. Anyways, I should start with the morning. This morning, my dearest mommy woke up and realized that she had nothing to wear to the wedding. Which led to me parading around with all of my skirts and dressy shirts for her to see. Nothing pleased her that much so we went shopping for dresses (which made me perfectly happy, although I already had my outfit, this counts as a shopping opportunity). So we spent our morning at Marshall's looking at clothing and stuff so I ended up with some shorts(yeah!) and my mom got this really pretty dress. My sister got a really pretty shoes. Then we headed to the wedding ceremonly which was at 3:30. The ceremony was held at some park, and here I should mention that it is currently 88 degrees where we Curly Fries live so it was very very hot. Anyways the wedding was sweet and there were some Jewish traditional stuff like wine drinking and glass smashing. It was fun. Then we waited till 5 to go to the cocktail and dinner site. Which is where I am. Later(it's now Monday) (apparently entering doesn't make good paragraphs, and this note is supposed to be at the bottom But I can't reach it so here it is. Sorry if this whole post is salience. I think immature edit it tomorrow. Sorry. Bye) Happy Memorial Day!!! The band Curly Fres were marching around in their uniforms and I watched them. Looked fun. Anyways, the whole dinner shenanigans was nice and there was food (free) and dancing and bouquet throwing and garter removals and throwing of said garters. Then there was dancing. The dancing I did not join in. Lastly there was cake eting and cutting ( with the order flipped). So anyways I am writing on an touch so please excuse any and all spelling/grammar mistakes as it takes too long to fix them. I don't hav much time left so to end, I'd like to say: happy Memorial Day, and blessings n best wishes to the families of lost veterans. Luv, Lynda Btw I can't change the color so pretend this s blue, ight?

(I changed it to blue for you, dear! ~Virgil)

WOMEN. SO MANY WOMEN.

Hi hi.

zomg finals, you guys.
finals are coming up.
finalsss.
I was at the track the other day. I brought my Latin notecards with me (*Asian*), but I had initially gone with intent to run as training for soccer. But then I started to run and began to freak out ["I don't know any adverbs I HATE ADVERBS. SEE, THAT SENTENCE LOOKS FINE WITHOUT ADVERBS."], so I ended up walking around the track for a while in the blazing sun, reviewing vocab. {Holy cow, it was hot.} Haha, there were all these actual athletes there that were looking at me funny as I muttered to myself "Eo magis, all the more; tot so many, like in Napoleon Dynamite, SO MANY TOTS..."*
Everything in life relates back to that movie...
So, today was my cousin's bridal shower. (Yayyy she's getting married :) ) And it was really nice and all. The bride&groom are super cute, and really happy :) And I got to see some family I really like that I don't often get to see 'cause of how far away they live! Yay!
But there are so many women. White women, that is.
Not just so many women. All the women. Like, all the women.
(Also, being the only non-white [unless you count spray-on tans] person in the room is always just the most memorable experience. Yayyyy...)

Also, I got my hair cut today. Iz lovely and shorter for the summer nao!

Aghgklfaj;kl I can't wait for it to be summer. Summer is the time for painted nails, pretty dresses, beaches, sleeping in, and watching movies in air conditioned theatres ^.^

Anyway, I should go to bed soon. Marching in the Memorial Day parade tomorrow earlyyy, then a barbecue. Yay for America.

With all due respect,
House.
*Like, I just get that image in my head. The one of him and his attractive cargo pants stuffed full of tots. So. many. tots.

one more week of school. one more week of schoooool!

Hello!

So, I'm pretty much loving life right now. :) I really wish I could tell you alllllll about it, but, unfortunately, I can't. :( I'm about to leave WITH MY BROTHER! to go to my father's house :) This should be fun. ^_^ yeah.

soooo.... I LOVE YOU ALL!! :D

And yes, I am in a fantastic mood! :)

DFTBA!♥
Happy Saturday!

Smiles, hugs, and LOTS of love,

school is almost over. this pleases me.

Hullo.

In English class, we've been reading Romeo and Juliet, which is a play that I both like and hate. One the one hand (<-that is what too much Greek translation does to you; you start using μεν. . . δε everywhere), Shakespeare's language is lovely. There are some bits that I really really like, and of course all the long rambling speeches are fun to read. On the other hand, the characters are kind of annoying (I think my favorite is the prince, only because he seems like the only sensible one and I feel bad for him having to run a city where the two biggest families hate each other and are constantly causing widespread chaos) and/or tiresome and not really sympathetic. So that kind of ruins it.

(I had fun writing an alternate ending, though. I stayed up rather late yesterday to finish. I do hope English Teacher likes it. The great and wondrous SBL helped me come up with a nice, grammatically-correct Latin title. I am pleased.)

Finals are coming up. Ew.

One good thing is that, supposedly, the next week or so in Curlyfryland is actually going to be sunny and warm and without precipitation, i.e., unlike what it has been since basically April. This is exciting. :D

Memorial day is on Monday; happy holiday in advance. (Have fun playing in the parade, you band people.)

Oh, and I drew you a Takumi. (Takumi, for those who aren't familiar, is a character from Looking for Alaska by John Green who has the most amazing hat ever.)

It seems like all my posts nowadays involve me showing you my art. . . I could stop, if you like.

hooray for fox hats!
Yeah, that's probably it for today. Do please enjoy the rest of your day.

Cheers (I guess I've finally found a closing phrase),

xiy

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

For the first time in the history of ever, I forgot to post!!! I was so busy babysitting and doing an English project that, turns out, isn't due until Tuesday that I forgot. I accept any and all punishments. D: -Momo

Tuesday, May 24, 2011

I have a lot to do, very little time to do it, and nearly no motivation... so I shall write a post instead.

La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves her music, and finals too! That's Virgil's worrrllldd!!!

Ah, yes, it's that time of year again. *sigh* I have no comment regarding finals, other than the fact that they are very final-y and cause unneeded stress every June.

Today, I'm going to talk about MUSIC!! We re-started marching band on Friday (for the Memorial Day Parade next weekend) which is just dandy.

I recently made a new playlist on my iPod and called in My Most Favorite Songs. I shall share it with you now, because I don't have anything else to talk about and I really need to finish my math homework.

(They're in order, with #1 being my most favorite and #21 being my twenty-first favorite)

1. Hedwig's Theme (the longer version from the first movie) - John Williams [There is nothing that can be said about Hedwig's Theme.... it completes my life.]
2. Jurassic Park - John Williams [it is not a well-known fact that I have an obsession with the music from Jurassic Park. It's just so epically amazing!!]
3. Harry's Wondrous World - John Williams
4. Jupiter (from "The Planets") - Gustav Holst [my favorite song that isn't written by JW!]
5. One Last Drink - Enter the Haggis [Look it up. Best party song ever... about a funeral.]
6. Do You Believe in Magic? - The Lovin' Spoonful [this is the version from the Parent Trap soundtrack]
7. Overture - Disney's The Little Mermaid (the Broadway production) - Original Cast [The pit orchestra for this recording is actually, like, the best one I've ever heard. That first trumpet part is like no other!]
8. You're Not There - Eddplant [This song is such a winner. House likes it too.]
9. Poet and Peasant Overture - Franz von Suppe [Nice name.]nice name]<="" span="">
10. Paperback Writer - The Beatles [Story of my life.]
11. I'll Make a Man Out of You - Donny Osmond & Chorus [Is there need for explanation? No.]
12. The World is Mine (I Don't Know Anything) - Alex Day [Ah...sheer wonderfulness <3]
13. Flying - James Newton Howard (This is that cool song from the new-er Peter Pan]
14. Granger Danger - Lauren Lopez & Joey Richter [I get really excited whenever this comes on.]
15. Prologue - John Williams [Epicness overload!]
16. Holding On - Alex Day ["I could bake a chocolate cake for you with tiers up to the moon..."]
17. Go the Distance - Roger Bart [We're translating "Hercules" in Latin class right now. hahahaha]
18. The First Star - Eddplant [Because he's my one-and-only true love <3]
19. Concertino - Cecile Chaminade - [I have to play this for an audition tomorrow... but I love it! Crap I need to practice...]
20. Neverland (Piano Variation in Blue) - Jan A.P. Kaczmarek [From "Finding Neverland." It's so pretty!]
21. Sweet Child O' Mine - Project Trio [This is an instrumental version on flute, cello, and bass. It's pretty beast. Look up Project Trio if you don't know who I'm talking about.]

I'm currently writing a five-movement suite for flute, and it's about Looking for Alaska. Maybe I'll put it on YouTube when it's done.

Best wishes!
Virgil

:)

Hi hi.

So, this week should be actually quite nice.
I'm in a lovely mood in comparison to last week, so I'll be going into finals somewhat hopeful.
School is winding down! Thank goodness. (Finals are going to be... um... stressful. However, we're starting to prepare for this bout a little bit earlier than before, so maybe it'll be more calm?)
The sun is beginning to shine again; the classes are getting progressively less productive; those freakin birds are starting to chirp earlier and earlier, forcing me to lose sleep. And yay it's almost summer :D I can't wait :)

xiy and I finished our 9HD today! I'm really excited for this Tuesday night. xiy and I get to lose miserably to Momo and Carrie's display board, yayyy. Our board is actually really good in comparison to our other one. (Granted, the other board had more character and was more neon and overall more beautiful. But judges like /organized/ and /neat/ and /formal/, meh.)

Momo and Virgil have turned me (and xiy) into QWOP fanatics... it's this simple running game-thing that gets to be really addicting XD

Anyway.
I should go practice moar flute. Auditions are this Wednesday for that band Virgil and I are in.
Kbai!
AHHH AUDITIONS AHHHHH >.< >.< >.<
With all due respect,
House.

oops...

I apologize for this being so late. :/
I've been extremely caught up today/ I haven't been home most of today.
However, today's been quite lovely. ^_^
Unfortunately, I am waaaaay too lazy to write in detail about my day.
Soooo yeah, bye.
DFTBA! ♥

Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

Happy Friday!

I had quite a nice day today. The weather was beautiful and school was largely tolerable (French class was actually fun/productive today; fancy that!) and it's Friday. Fridays automatically make everything better.

It's really nice out still. I might go out and read later on or something.

Uhhhhhh.

Finals are coming up in, like, seven-ish days. The Greek final is on Monday, though, and I kind of really need to study.

And thus, because I am a fail and have nothing really to talk about, here's a sketch of Peter Pan that maybe I'll get around to colouring sometime and a few pictures of some flowers I took last week.

There was originally a Tinker Bell in the picture, but she ended up looking more like a blue hairball, so I gave up.

Flowers on top of my chemistry homework. How lovely. ♥

Look at that awful handwriting.

Cheers,

xiy

Banquet[o]

I feel like every week that I post, I'll be asking why it isn't Friday yet.
Honestly, though, could Friday come any slower?
Not only do we have to endure five entire school days before Friday every week, but we have more things to worry about now that finals season has returned.

Gagh. <-- segue

Our dear Thaichicken [she's in college (which means she's on summer vacation already)] joined our Latin class this week to explore the marvelous rituals of dead people in Ancient Rome.
Yeah.
Sadly, today was her last day (although I'm sure she has had enough of us by now).

SPEAKING OF LATIN <-- segue

Every year, Latin students from 9th-12th grade are invited to this marvelous thing called Banquet[o].
That done been happened yesterday.
All students who are either freshmen (that's us) or first time banqueters (banqueteers?) get to be slaves while everyone else gets to be a master.
I had probably the most innovative slave masters of them all.
Having an innovative master is not always the best thing.
My master thought very hard about how to keep herself entertained all night.

Most of the slaves only had to wear silly costumes and doing silly tasks. House and Virgil, for example, had to color a teddy bear in five minutes. T

My master made me hop around in a pillow case.
I got to fill a bucket up with water with a Styrofoam cup that was covered with holes. Most of the water landed on the floor.
I got to write a three act play with the topics of orange, "the magnificent vegetable eggplant", and a man who lost his blimp/zeppelin.
The play had to flow nicely, had to be a musical, and it was written in 9 minutes.
I also had very specific food orders in which I had to fight for a bottle of apple juice, sort the fruit salad so my master only got apples, no food could touch the other foods, and if I spilled (which was easy since I was hopping all night) I had to start again.

All of these things might sound horrible, but it was the most fun and memorable Latin event since convention.

We all got awards for the National Latin/Greek Exams, good food, and prizes like "power" bracelets and pinwheels.

Also, at the end, I organized a slave revolt and we got to attack our masters with water guns.

*sigh*

I love Latin. Best Language Ever

-Momo

I am a nerd, but I need to practice!

I plan to write an alternate ending
For the play Romeo and Juliet,
So I must practice writing in meter.

I am not good at writing in meters,
I can hardly make a decent haiku.
But forsooth! This post will hence be written
In iambic pentameter, like so.
(Omitting those certain stressed syllables
Of course, because they are such a hassle,
And Shakespeare doesn't always adhere thus.)

I think that this meter is so oft' used
Because humans have ten fingers, not nine
Or eight or fourteen or seventy-two -
Ten have we, and so we count in base ten
And write in iambic pentameter.

The music of the moment is pleasant,
Or rather, that is, peasant not pleasant;
It is Poet and Peasant Overture!
Which we hath sight-read in Wind Ensemble,
Much to my utter excitement inside
(Though not expressed outwardly at the time,
For fear I would be singled out by he,
Who is the most fearsome band director
In the kingdom, or at least in the state.)
 I love Poet and Peasant Overture;
It features in a cartoon of my youth
Which is called Hep Cat Symphony, behold:
What a wonder that this film which I loved
Contained so much great classical music,
Which I have later grown to greatly love!

And now, moving onto relevant things
(Perhaps sealing wax, cabbages, and kings?)
No, I chide, I was merely making rhyme
(Yet Wonderland is always relevant!)
Banqueto is tomorrow, I can't wait!
We are slaves to the elders, oh such joy!
It will be fun, in spite of our bondage
For I am sure that the feast will be grand!

This gets easy as I keep going on,
Although I still must count on my fingers,
It is somehow becoming rather fun.
And though I wish to revert to normal,
I seem to be unable to stop this
Madness, forever I shall always write
Alas, in iambic pentameter.

I believe I am done here. This was fun!
DFTBA, with love from Virgil.

I really really really want to bite my nails, but I shouldn'ttttt DX

"Where do I go/If not disappear/Oh, where do I go from here?"
—Relient K*

Hi hi, everyone.

So, this week should be interesting... the Latin Club is having this annual banquet thing this Wednesday, which is gonna be like super exciting :)
*Everything looks so much more legit in italics.
Tomorrow is this dedication of our Chinese class to the Confucius Institute. It's this big assembly thing that Virgil, Momo, xiy, Lynda, and I {Chinese Club lol} are gonna be a tiny part of. As a reminder, we're lip-syncing to ourselves singing {'singing'} to the hit pop sensation of the last few years, 北京欢迎你 [Beijing Welcomes You]。It should be fun. We get to wear matching shirts :D :D :D
I wish my fishie was purple and covered in Alaskan fur.
And something that doesn't directly pertain to our age group but is still shiny:
The old kids went to their prom this weekend!!!!! (Including Momo's older sister ^.^) Hooray for pretty dresses and corsages and the end of school. And the end of school like so totally pertains to us. Because it's really soon. Yayayayayay.
"Inertia is a property of matter."
Um, yeah.
The only other thing of note is I'm trying to stop biting my nails. (Agh the temptation.)
My teddy bear is named Chuckles and playing softball with pineapple is his favourite.
A'ight. Time for me to start homework now and go eat dinner.
Hope Lynda gives you guys a more legit post tomorrow. Sorry for my short one...
With all due respect,
House.
lol fun with italics is fun.

I realllyyyy need to start getting used to this...

Heya!

So, it's Saturday.
Um, only 16 more days of school.
Only 24 more days until the Panic! at the Disco concert! (SO EXCITED! )
4 months and 15 days until my birthday. :)
1 month and 7 days until the first day of summer.
and only about 2-3 weeks until finals start.

TIME GO FASTER!!!!!!! DX

I have good news: this past Wednesday was me and the boyfriend's 3-month. Longest consecutive relationship so far for me. Ain't that exciting? ♥ He's been being really sweet lately, which is nice. ^_^

Bleh. I'm so tired today.
Earlier, I was at a friend's house and we made our own home-made kumquat juice! (for those who know the kumquat joke, you'll understand.) After that I came home and went to the grocery. My mommy got me the red white and blue popsicles.
By the way, Virgil, I saw your momma there. I said hi to her ^_^

Now I am just chilling and catching up on Glee :)
So, I think I'm going to continue with that.
Okay, bye.
DFTBA♥

Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

P.S. - I love bubbles! I have two bubble pens now and they're awesome!

my witty-title-generator just broke.

Hey. o/

Today is Friday the thirteenth. zomg.

So the reason why I'm posting so much later than I usually do is because today I went to buy a T-shirt for art class; we're doing silkscreening and I'm planning to make myself a DFTBA shirt. It's pretty awesome. I'm excited. :D

And then, after I got home from my little shopping excursion, I made myself a very (very, very) late dinner, which I'm eating as I speak. At the risk of sounding cliche, it is fried rice (lol point and stare at the stereotypical Chinese girl lol), but it's actual legit just-made fried rice with carrot and shrimp in it, as opposed to the soggy crap that looks like oatmeal-mixed-with-frozen-vegetables that the school cafeteria thinks is "Asian."

It is, in fact, the only dish involving heat and a stove and actual vegetables and cutting boards that I know how to make. So I guess my chances of starving in the future are slightly lowered.

That's it, I think.

Sorry for the short post

I'll leave you with a nice HP drawing:

HE'S IN A RAGE, GUYS. THIS IS THE MADDEST HE'S EVER BEEN.
And I know the shadows look like terrible. I know. >.<'
Cheers,
xiy

Blogspot Broke

MOMO DID NOT FORGET TO POST!!!

So, last night, when I was trying to post, Blogspot was like, "I won't let you get on. Rrrgh."

It was rather sad. So, instead of actually posting and taking up xiy's day to post, I'll just leave it like this.

Here you go, xiy. Post away:

Tuesday, May 10, 2011

This is actually my very first Tuesday post, because last week's was a fail.

Right now I'm looking out the window next to my computer, and it's one of those times when there's a cloud like half-blocking the sun so the sunlight looks all streaky across the sky and it's just so darn poetic that it makes me start to think in John Green's voice.
*blissful sigh*
This post may or may not turn out well. Let's see. Cue the theme music:
La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves the summer, and sunshine too! That's Virgil's wooorrrrlldddd!!!!!

So yeah, it's starting to become summer here in Curly-Fry-Land. Today I got home from school and changed into shorts, so that's a pretty definitive sign that summer vacation must be nearly upon us.
...wait?! What's that you say?? We still have three more weeks of school? Dangit >.<

Today in science class I was calculating the molar mass of silver oxide or something, and it suddenly occurred to me that the radio station 107.9 is the same number as the molar mass (& average atomic mass) of silver (Ag). Isn't that interesting? The person who picked that number was probably a chemistry geek. Either that, or it's just a coincidence.

Argh now the cloud moved and the sun is all "VIRGIL, IMMA BLIND YOU!!" I shall put the shade down.

Do you guys want to see some of the covers I made on Picnik for my current writing project?
Of course you do!

These are just the ones that I thought were presentable. There are at least four more that I made that were so atrocious that I didn't want to show them to you. I'm pretty sure these are in order of when I made them.

(from left)
1. This one uses the first title that I had in mind, and it features a girl flying over water. Hooray.
2. Note the " 'til" rather than "till." This debate has caused me countless sleepless nights.
3. Then I decided to use "till."
4. This one looks a bit creepy. She looks kind of dead. (lol spoilers)
5. This one might be my favorite so far. What do you think?

Well, all of the covers that I made are terrible in comparison to the one that xiy made:

skillz
It's so awesome ahhh yayy!!!
It doesn't really work as well in inkpop-sized 80 x 120 pixels, but it's definitely the best. ^_^

"Am I flying or falling?"
That's the first sentence of the book. I swear it gets better. D:

Today I finally saw House and xiy's 9HD project in all of its blood-splattered glory, and I must say, it was very... interesting. Haha. Well, you can tell that they had fun making it :)

That's everything I have to say today.

"Okay, idiotas. Say something nice. Or I will kill you."
<3

Best wishes!
Virgil

After a bit of reviewing, I felt that it should not be visible, lest it scar the chilluns who read this blog, and think that I am a normal human being (btw, I am...but, here, it seems I am...unhinged and in desperate need of sleep) If you would like to continue believing that I am a normal person, do NOT read the below*******

COMMANDER UP! HE IS TOUGH, MAN, TOUGH! Haha, Taz: "Put your hand over there" Snape-Actor-dude: "whut, why?"

"He eats eagles for breakfast, he sleeps on a bed of fire! AND WHEN UP CUTS AN ONION, THE ONION IS THE ONE WHO CRIES!"

I'm at xiy's house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HER WIDDLE SISTER!!!!! and happy mother's day too :)

{^well, I'm not there anymore. but I was.}
Hello!
@Momo: OMG I LOVE TACOS <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Happy Mother's Day!! Especially to my mommy, who probably will actually read this. Thanks to all the mums of us 6LCF for putting up with all our strange shenanigans :) You all iz wonderful! Hope you all had a lovely Mother's Day and your kid[s] pampered and tended to you as you saw fit.

I spent quite a lot of my day at xiy's house. We were outlining our 9HD project, seeing as apparently we're going on... haha, we have a bit of work to do, considering how, um, informal our first try at displaying Robespierre's part in the French Revolution on a trifold board was.
Personally, I think neon backing, handwritten captions, paint smudges, and indents from footprints of xiy's widdle sister add sort of a cute touch. {Okay, the whole part where it was two mini trifolds duct taped together was a bit sketchy. But our school is kinda sketchy; it's what we know and love. Of courseeee.}
But our History teacher thinks the judges' opinion might differ.
Whatev.

Um... this weekend has been remarkably and lovely-ly chill. I didn't have to put much effort into anything (yayayayay) besides making my mum a card for Mother's Day.
I did go the library, though!
And now I'm reading The Realm of Possibility by David Levithan. I usually don't read YA, but I really like it :)

All the older kiddies are taking their AP and SAT Subject tests and things. lol @ them. hooray for being young and not taking AP or anything. (though our finals are soon-ish... *cringes* that will not be fun.)

Which means that skool iz almost out!!!! Which is just super exciting!!! Because then real soccer conditioning season legit starts!!! I love dragging my body across a 101°F field and pulling muscles and running until I can't breathe and my lungs collapse into a wrinkled lump!!! Except not!!!

So  yeah. That's about it.
EXCEPT for marching band starts soon! My piccolo and I will be reunited again <3
Can't wait to be back to playing notes >four lines above the staff.

With all due respect,
House.

Huh, House even told me earlier not to forget to post...

AND I DIDN'T! Aren't you guys so proud of me? ^_^ :3 I forget everything! It's sooo bad. D:

(No, stupid Blogger, stop changing the font color back to black.)

Eh, today was alright. A couple friends came over to work on our German horror film. It's so legit, and my apartment building is super sketchy, so it helped A LOT!

Blahhhh, I'm being lazy and don't really feeling like typing.
I'm sorry.

Happy almost Mothers' Day. Be nice to your mommies tomorrow, alright? :) They were nice enough to keep you in their stomachs for 9 freaking months; that is a long time! ♥

Yeah. k. bye.

DFTBA! ♥

Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

P.S. - Am I not the nice, caring one anymore? :/ Did I become mean? :( I'm sorry... I didn't mean to. You guys have got to let me know of these things! :P (And I don't have a life, just saying)

It's so weird to tag this post as 'Friday.' :|

This post is, strangely, being written at a later date than most of my Tuesday posts were, despite the fact that I obviously have more time to write and therefore should be churning out these things more quickly. However, today, I do actually have a good excuse--I was finishing the colouring on my mommy dearest's Mother's Day present.

Would you like to see?

Of course you do.

(I should warn you now that it's not actually very mother-y themed, but I tried and failed badly to draw my mother realistically, so I drew something that I hope she'll appreciate. Even though it has nothing to do with motherhood. ^^;)

Ohgoshihopeshelikesittellmewhatyouthinkyouguysahhhhhh. >.<
Huh. It seems that Blogspot has changed some of its controls. The tag box is now on the left instead of the right and then there's the location thing that Momo said located us somewhere in Kansas. Strange.

Have you guys had a nice Friday? This week was (lame) senior prank week at our school, but for all intents and purposes it was nearly a normal week. (It rained today, somewhat ruining the seniors' camp-out-on-the-lawn-day. I was not sympathetic.)

Aaaand. Uh. Oh yeah--House and I are definitely going on to 9HD Part the Second, which means we have to get an actual trifold, resize all the pictures, cut down on the neon construction paper, and actually make the thing look presentable. The amount of work involved doesn't bear thinking about. ;A;

So, yeah. Tell me what you think of that drawing and stuff. I hope your week wasn't too awful.

Cheers,
xiy

WARNING: THIS POST IS HORIBELL

Having to write on a Thursday is going to take lots of getting used to. Not only will I not be the first person in any list referring to 6LCF, but when we do theme weeks, all the good ideas will be taken. :(

Oh well. LUCKILY tomorrow is Friday. Then comes Saturday. Next is Sunday. Wait, I'm not Rebecca Black.

HAPPY HANKO DE MAYO!!! Woot. Today is celebrity Nerdfighter Hank Green's 31st birthday. Now isn't that exciting.

BLAH BLAH BLAH I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY.

Less than 20 days of school...

25 days until I can get my temporary driver's license.

One day until my big sissy is at the top of the high school food chain.

*sigh* I have to go write an English essay.

This was the #2 worst post ever.
I like tacos.
-Momo

P.S. Today in science we got to burn things but our teacher is so horribly horrible that she made me nervous.
P.P.S. Here is the link to my anniversary video. I never actually posted it on here.
P.P.P.S. I just found this little button at the bottom of this posty thing and I clicked on it. I zoomed in and clicked on the lovely state in which we lived. Then this little taggy thing flew down and landed somewhere in southeast Kansas. We do not live in southeast Kansas. Google Maps is dumb. kbai

Tuesday and Starship and William Blake

I am so incredibly upset.

I wrote a really, really, REALLY long post. I was so excited about it. Now it's all gone.

I don't wanna rewrite it.

I spent like an hour on it.

I think I'm gonna cry.
No, really. This post was like wall-of-fame material. I fangirled about Lauren Lopez and I even re-watched parts of Starship to get all the quotes right, and then I went on and on about a William Blake poem that I absolutely love. It was really insightful and you would have loved it, AND NOW ALL MY HARD WORK IS GONE BECAUSE BLOGSPOT IS STUPID.

I'm gonna go die in a hole now.

Goodbye.

Read Between the Lines

Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow...TURN THIS STUPID, FAT RAT YELLOW, DAMMIT!

Hello! It's my new day to post! And I'm so happy! Rainbows! Carebears! Sunshine, flowers, and kisses! Yay!
Eek, I cannot believe I just typed that. *cringe* CAREBEARS???
So, since it's the glorious day of Monday...erm, night of Monday, I shall write about my lovely day!
Psh, lovely, right. I'm so fricking happy it's over....
This morning, I woke up bright and early on a LOVELY Spring morning!
AT 6AM!! NO SANE HUMAN CAN OPERATE AT THAT TIME! I HATE MORNINGS!!!
What for, you ask? For Greek class! A lovely Ancient Greek class.
I swear to all the gods of Greek mythology I will quit that class. Soon. We do GRAMMAR...I suck at grammar!
We (Momo, Virgil, xiy, and I) took a test on the past lesson, and I did marvelously  because I studied like a good little girl!
Correction: I walked to Greek with my nose in the Greek textbook, saying "haaarrraaaccckkksssmooo?" to prepare for the test.
I think I did fantastically!
I think I did failingly!
It was Senior Prank week, and so I watched the wise Seniors place cups of water on the ground. Such a smart idea!
Such a stupid idea. It got cleared before school even started. FAIL.
I then took a math test on linear equations! I love graphing and linear equations!
I hate math tests. They make my life miserable, why the frick do I have math 1st period?
The rest of the school day went splendiferously!
OH GODS, THE HORRORS.
I watched 9HD presentations in history class. They were magnificent.
They were the crappiest things I've ever seen.
Science class was wonderful as usual, and English class sensational.
Science class was ridiculous as usual, and English class was quite boring.
We had an essay assigned for English. I love comparison essays!
I HATE comparison essays. I've done way too many this year.
In gym, I was in the 'Lifetime Fitness" class, it was relaxing and fun.
OH MY GOD, KILL ME NOW, THAT CLASS WAS SO STUPID! EVERYONE WAS EXTREMELY LAZY (I know I'm lazy in gym, but honestly, these girls...), and IT'S KILLING ME (Like everything else in the class...SLOWLY)
Tonight I had an Orchestra concert. I was 2nd chair. I enjoyed it. My stand partner was a delightful joy to talk and play with.
I hate him. I want to stab him to death with a spear. Make that 10 spears, 20 machetes, and 18 forks. He had the nerve to turn around after a song, and say, "I think you were rushing a lot." *STRANGLES THE AIR* And then he keeps poking me with his bow, and I just wanna stand up in the middle of the concert, and start hitting him with the metal stand.
How was your day? I love Mondays! Have a great rest of the week, and don't forget to comment on my post! Tell me if you enjoyed my cheeriness.
I actually do. House is right, they totally fit with me...Ha, if you enjoyed my cheeriness...you're obviously stupid enough to have NOT read all this secret message/post. READ IN BETWEEN THE LINES, fur realz. However, I do hope you enjoyed my post. Comments!
Luv, Lynda

sunday sunday sunday look

so.

the most exciting things this week are two concerts bands I'm in are preparing for. the school's getting ready for our ice cream social, which might be a bit muddy. but we get to start marching in preparation for this fall soon. yay ^.^ I miss marching band.
and this local band thing Virgil and I are in is getting ready to wrap up our season, as well.
(also, I want to get more practice with making Dichotomous Keys... *exciting new thing to do during English class*)

speaking of Virgil... she is, as usual, nudging me to write this faster. I should warn you all that your weekly Sunday post might come to you rather late at night, since Sunday night is Homework Time and yeah. procrastination FTL

we just celebrated our lovely anniversary at Momo's house, which was quite fun, since it was a sleepover :) I'm sure pictures or something are gonna be posted soon... I had to miss a lot of it, but we ended up playing with Play-Doh and Momo's trained squirrel, eating cake and cupcakes and other dinner/chocolate things, and watching Starship, Starkid Potter's latest play-thing.
Starship was... um... unique? (link... warning: it's wicked long) where "unique" mean "you'll probably have at least a couple nightmares."

that's about it. sorry there's not much to report on...
I'm going to drag my sleep-deprived body {they woke me up at ten o'clock! >.<} upstairs to shower and go to bed. I need sleep in order to be creative and in excellent shape for fanfic writing with Momo and xiy, which this week should be full of. {check Momo's personal blog for updates} it's a special present for the main characters ^.^

also, don't forget: tomorrow is Lynda's day!!! monday fits her personality so well :)

With all due respect,
House.
