I didn't almost forget to post...

Lots has been going on today! First and foremost, IT'S CONVENTION EVE!!!! That means, for all you non Latin nerds, that today is the day in which House, Vergil, and Momo freak out about not having finished projects and/or memorized things...

I made three projects this year and I finished them...2 minutes ago. A new record for me!

Yeah, life's pretty cray-cray right now. I think I'll go and pretend to sleep or something.

CONVENTION!!!!!!

WOMEN. SO MANY WOMEN.

Hi hi.

zomg finals, you guys.
finals are coming up.
finalsss.
I was at the track the other day. I brought my Latin notecards with me (*Asian*), but I had initially gone with intent to run as training for soccer. But then I started to run and began to freak out ["I don't know any adverbs I HATE ADVERBS. SEE, THAT SENTENCE LOOKS FINE WITHOUT ADVERBS."], so I ended up walking around the track for a while in the blazing sun, reviewing vocab. {Holy cow, it was hot.} Haha, there were all these actual athletes there that were looking at me funny as I muttered to myself "Eo magis, all the more; tot so many, like in Napoleon Dynamite, SO MANY TOTS..."*
Everything in life relates back to that movie...
So, today was my cousin's bridal shower. (Yayyy she's getting married :) ) And it was really nice and all. The bride&groom are super cute, and really happy :) And I got to see some family I really like that I don't often get to see 'cause of how far away they live! Yay!
But there are so many women. White women, that is.
Not just so many women. All the women. Like, all the women.
(Also, being the only non-white [unless you count spray-on tans] person in the room is always just the most memorable experience. Yayyyy...)

Also, I got my hair cut today. Iz lovely and shorter for the summer nao!

Aghgklfaj;kl I can't wait for it to be summer. Summer is the time for painted nails, pretty dresses, beaches, sleeping in, and watching movies in air conditioned theatres ^.^

Anyway, I should go to bed soon. Marching in the Memorial Day parade tomorrow earlyyy, then a barbecue. Yay for America.

With all due respect,
House.
*Like, I just get that image in my head. The one of him and his attractive cargo pants stuffed full of tots. So. many. tots.

Banquet[o]

I feel like every week that I post, I'll be asking why it isn't Friday yet.
Honestly, though, could Friday come any slower?
Not only do we have to endure five entire school days before Friday every week, but we have more things to worry about now that finals season has returned.

Gagh. <-- segue

Our dear Thaichicken [she's in college (which means she's on summer vacation already)] joined our Latin class this week to explore the marvelous rituals of dead people in Ancient Rome.
Yeah.
Sadly, today was her last day (although I'm sure she has had enough of us by now).

SPEAKING OF LATIN <-- segue

Every year, Latin students from 9th-12th grade are invited to this marvelous thing called Banquet[o].
That done been happened yesterday.
All students who are either freshmen (that's us) or first time banqueters (banqueteers?) get to be slaves while everyone else gets to be a master.
I had probably the most innovative slave masters of them all.
Having an innovative master is not always the best thing.
My master thought very hard about how to keep herself entertained all night.

Most of the slaves only had to wear silly costumes and doing silly tasks. House and Virgil, for example, had to color a teddy bear in five minutes. T

My master made me hop around in a pillow case.
I got to fill a bucket up with water with a Styrofoam cup that was covered with holes. Most of the water landed on the floor.
I got to write a three act play with the topics of orange, "the magnificent vegetable eggplant", and a man who lost his blimp/zeppelin.
The play had to flow nicely, had to be a musical, and it was written in 9 minutes.
I also had very specific food orders in which I had to fight for a bottle of apple juice, sort the fruit salad so my master only got apples, no food could touch the other foods, and if I spilled (which was easy since I was hopping all night) I had to start again.

All of these things might sound horrible, but it was the most fun and memorable Latin event since convention.

We all got awards for the National Latin/Greek Exams, good food, and prizes like "power" bracelets and pinwheels.

Also, at the end, I organized a slave revolt and we got to attack our masters with water guns.

*sigh*

I love Latin. Best Language Ever

Io Cerealia!!!

IO CEREALIA, EVERYBODY!!!!!!!! Today, in Ancient Rome, would be the holiday Cerealia. Cerealia was when the Romans would celebrate the goddess Ceres for bringing spring back and allowing them to harvest again. In modern Latin classes, it is celebrated by eating wheat (cereal) and fruit and pastries (like doughnuts and their holes). So that's what we did in Latin today.

Honestly, I think we should have this whole week off, though. Not only is today Cerealia and the first day of Passover, but it is Holy Week. We should get an entire extra week off, not just Friday.

We talked a lot about religion today in school. I don't mind, but today in science I was arguing with my teacher because she was like:

"You can be Christian and not believe in any of the stuff."

And I was like, "Umm...no, you can't because then you wouldn't be Christian".

Then she was like, "it's all a matter of opinion. If you just celebrate Christmas, you're a Christian."

To which I responded, "No, because you aren't celebrating it to commemorate Jesus being born, you're celebrating getting presents. It would be like if you started celebrating Kwanzaa because you like the colors or something. You wouldn't be considered a person celebrating African-Amereican heritage--"

And she politely replied "NO I AM ALWAYS RIGHT STOP MAKING ME LOOK STUPID!!!!"*

And then Lynda kindly raised her hand and said, "Seeing as I'm atheist, this conversation is making uncomfortable."

And our teacher screamed, "THANK YOU," the way she does every ten seconds to be even more obnoxious.

And I said, "See, now look what you started."

Then the whole class started arguing about how our teacher started the whole debate**.
All the while the entire class was simultaneously yelling and arguing. Ergh.

Anyway. <--#1 Segue right up in thur.

Since we are ninth graders (we've disclosed this info. already, right?) we get to do this super-de-duperdy *sarcasm*  fun project called Ninth Grade History Day. House, xiy, Carrie and I had to turn in our tri-fold boards today and the other classes still have, like, two more weeks to work on theirs. My group (Carrie, me, and another girl) did Elie Wiesel and House and xiy worked together (since they're in the same class) and did Robespierre.

I think both projects turned out swimmingly.

Before I go, I have an important message for all those who take/can read Ancient Greek and have read my Hillbilly Post:

θισ `υρ σπεσιμεν λοοκσ λικε δαρν ποο ον α στικ.

I'm off to see the wizard now. Toodles!!!
-Moomoo
P.S. 11 DAYS TILL THE ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.P.S. PARTY AT MY HOUSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
P.P.P.S. Fo realz, tho.
P.P.P.P.S. I'll try to remember the invites tomorrow.
OMG. Our math teacher was hyper today...

*She technically did not say these exact words, but...
**It started because we were talking about Passover and she asked how many Jews there were in the class and how many were actually celebrating Passover. Then she was talking about how you can be part of a religion and not believe in any of its ideals.

sunshine!

Right, so.
This week has actually been pretty good for me. Getting to sleep in every day definitely made it tons better, like omg. Sadly, our nine-day weekend is almost over, since next week is back on the same schedule.* Oh, well.

At least we got to end the week on a high note. It's been soooo freakin warm outside the past couple days. Probably my favourite part of spring coming is witnessing the one specific weekend where the weather peaks just enough. All the girls retreat inside, digging up the old booty shorts and shaving (don't forget moisturising!) legs that are pale and worn from winter. Toenails are painted, tank tops are dug up, and North Faces are shed.

Okay, maybe not quite yet... we still need to get through, like, Easter (which has been rather blizzard-y in the past), but holy cow, it's an exciting idea.

OMG, so today was our [prego] Latin teacher's last day!!! D':
We're all gonna be devastated without her, so don't be surprised if you notice Momo/me/Virgil slipping in a bit of whining in the near future ^.^ (especially around finals... *shudder*) {↓ original artwork by Virgil}

zomg whyyyy?? *sadface*

and... yeah.
I'm gonna go practice my solo thing for this solo/ensemble event [tomorrow] our school has us do every year >.<
With all due respect,
House

P.S. Over thar ---> is a very pretty page that is dedicated to banners we've (i.e. mostly xiy) have doodled out. pretty! you're here, so you might as well go have a look at it :)

*Ewwwww, routine. Back to being injected with Subject A, Subject B, etc. period by period...

CONVENTION CONVENTION AHHHHHH

"Latin is so hard. I'm gonna take Spanish next year." -EZ

(^that's really funny if you know him)

I have a ton of stuff to do, so this post will be brief. I'm writing this on Thursday night because I won't be back until Sunday, but I'm going to somehow figure out how to get it to automatically post on Saturday.

Convention is tomorrow, but by the time ya'll read this, I'll already be there. ^_^

So yeah - I have to do my homework, finish my convention project, study for Certamen, and oh yeah the Independent Study gym credit essay is due tomorrow... >.<

And there's that other thing... I have to pack... yeahhh I'm getting no sleep tonight. I need to find out what happens next in The Hunger Games... and what happens next after that... and after that.... XD

I'M SO PUMPED FOR CONVENTION!!!!!!!

CONVE--Wait...I take French!

My darlin' readers!
---------------------------------------------------------
Just a little sidenote here. Please note the commemorative cursor that is the shape of Justin Bieber with his flippy hair. I have made that our temporary cursor to commemorate the loss of his hair, and 80,000 of his Twitter fans that unfollowed him after he cut his hair...
---------------------------------------------------------
LATIN-CONVENTION-IS-TOMORROW!!!

As many of you may know, Latin convention is tomorrow, and the Latin Curly Fries are going mentally insane... For example, my conversation with Momo today:
Lynda: Whatcha doin'? *huffs and puffs her way through 5 laps for crew*
Momo: Washing paintbrushes because o-mi-gosh-spirit-for-Latin-cuz-CONVENTION-IS-TOMORROW!!! *squeals* (imagine a high-pitched, super fast, all in one breath reading of the words "CONVENTION-IS-TOMORROW!!!")

Lynda: Erm...ok, why're you running with me then?
Momo: I dunno....but z-o-m-g-CONVENTION-IS-TOMORROW!!!
Lynda: Ahhh....
Yup. And then she goes off to wash more brushes, because CONVENTION-IS-TOMORROW!!!

Anyways, I had something planned out for this post, but...whatevs. Special circumstances and all, y'know?

Today in Orchestra, we had a lovely field trip to a library so that we could see/hear/be awed by this Haitian hip-hop violinist. He was supremely cool. I liked it. Then at the end, our awesome director, Ms. D (who is AWESOME!) went up and played a duet with him. Well, not voluntarily, one of the students set her up. They played "Amazing Grace", and it was just so...pure. So heartfelt and beautiful and absolutely gorgeous, the notes rang and you could feel the music, not just hear it because it was just so glorious...I could just go on about it, but really, it was just...amazing. Have you ever heard something and it was like that? I hope you do one day, because it was unbelievable, and it made my day...that and missing science class!

Speaking of which, I saw our lovely science teacher after crew practice today, and she talked to me. It was kinda weird, talking to her outside of class...I dunno, but I think that she's quite a nice person. She's just lacking in the teaching part. Oh well. Her car isn't as cool as she makes it out to be. It's actually drab and ick. Just sayin'.

Anyways, I went to Chicago this past weekend to get a shenzhen visa to go to Europe (for our orchestra tour), and I observed many things. I shall share the important ones with you.

1. Car rides were made to lull you to sleep. I swear I got into the car, and three seconds later, I was out!
2. Hotels are fun to compare with each other. I know they all seem the same, but there are the differences, and they're extremely fun to find...like the little complimentary shampoo bottles!
3. Complimentary breakfast is awesome. We always get hotels that offer them. The quaint counter with all this free food...so awesome.
4. Asians are frickin' geniuses. I'm not even being biased about this. We were at the French Consulate General, and these two Asians were getting visas also. One of them gets up and starts speaking FLUENT FRENCH to the lady behind the glass, and then after about 10 minutes, he says something in ELOQUENT ENGLISH, and then he sits down and starts talking to the other dude in COGENT CHINESE!!!! The dude was TRI-LINGUAL!!! Like, fluent in 3 languages!!! Jeez...and to top it off, the other Asian dude was doing math, and the math was like rocket science. I'm not even kidding. There were all these squigglies, and lines, and tons of numbers, letters, greek letters, etc. I felt incredibly stupid.
5. Chinatown is yummy. We ate there. 老四川 was the name of the restaurant, and it was soooooooooo SPICY!!!!
6. If China's people were as slow as Chicago's Shedd Aquarium ticket people, then they would be perpetually late...by years. You'd think you'd be faster at taking money and giving people a ticket. The line was curved completely around the whole Aquarium (and it's not a small thing. It's HUGE), and we got there early-ish! It took my dad 4 hours to get just inside the building!
7. Leaving a hotel room makes you paranoid about forgetting things. I checked every nook and cranny about 10 times, but I was still worried I forgot something.
8. Service plazas in Indiana (or the one we went to) are DISGUSTING. The toilets were brown! BROWN!!! We thought it was messed up pee, but turns out that the water was brown. Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! It stank so badly...
9. Groping is not meant for service plazas. If you still have so much sexual energy, and you feel the need to pinch and then smack the ass of your significant other in front of 2 toddlers and a teenager....please please please stay in bed. Do not grope each other outside of your house/car >.<
10. Home is where the heart is. Yup. I still like my own bed better, my own bathroom MUCH better, and in general, my home better.
So...I should probably get to work on that outline that's due tomorrow...hehehe.

But first, 3 questions for all of you. Please answer in the comments.
1. What's tommorrow?
2. The day after that?
3. And the day after that?
*plugs ears to prevent hearing loss from the screams of CONVENTION-IS-TOMORROW!!!*

G'night!
Lynda
P.S. We still have Greek tomorrow...*sigh*
P.P.S. omg...I forgot about Science Olympiad Regionals! They're on Saturday. We gonna diiiieeeeee....*shrugs* I don't care that much, as long as I win personal medals! :)

Happy President's Day

You know what I don't understand? President's day. "Why?" you might ask. For starters, are we celebrating past presidents or honoring the one in office? And what if you don't like the president(s), past or present? I also don't understand why it's in the middle of February. Or why there isn't a Vice President's Day or First Lady's Day or House of Representatives' Day. I do not understand. However, it just gives us another reason not to go to school. That's something else that confuses me. Do they really think we need the day off to think about presidents? No! Do they really think we would actually spend our day off thinking about presidents? No!

Today Virgil and I attended Latin Club scrapbooking because...wait for it...
CONVENTION IS IN 4 DAYS!!!!!!!!
Aaanyway. We sat around and cut paper and generally had a magnificent time. We even called our friend, Cow, and told him about the dangers regarding his milk. I also inhaled quite a bit of vinegar while rolling on the floor in the fetal position. Good times...

Which leads me to my next topic: Parody Week! Yay! It's done. If you haven't already, you can see the results downstairs. In the post under this one. WOOOOOO! We should do something like this again. I liked most of it.
Aghhuffhogdgrthvbio. I don't wanna go to school tomorrow. D':

The End.

I Didn't Forget a Title

Can you believe that theme week is already over? This week has gone by quite fast and now it's Saturday again and my day to post. Today's post comes to in approximately 158 parts. Why are we wasting time? Let's get started!
Cue the theme music: la la la la, la la la la, Virgils's world!!! Virgil loves Harry Potter and Herman too!! That's Virgil's worlld!
Part 1: Harry Potter
OMG I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! Only 146 days until HP7 Part 2!!!!! Aaaaagh!!!!! The pain is unbearable!!!! I don't think I can last 146 days until it comes out. Thankfully I will be able to read all books through every day until then. In addition, my family has found a Harry Potter themed insane asylum for us insane fans. It is not only all Harry Potter all the time, but I'll have access to the magical world of Harry Potter in Florida 24/7/365. Aren't you guys pumped?!

Part 2: Latin
Latin Convention is this Friday!! House, Momo, and I will all be attending this magical event starting this Friday. I probably will not be able to post (House?) but I think you all will be able to survive. I am sooooo pumped!!!!! I've only made 52 projects, but I will be done the last twelve by Thursday. I love Latin so much. In fact, I love it so much that I will post Lorem ipsum for you all to decipher (and because this parodier does not have enough knowledge in Latin to say anything else).
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nunc molestie, sapien in accumsan placerat, nulla ligula molestie odio, non porttitor ligula massa nec libero. Mauris scelerisque, erat quis facilisis porta, dui ligula ultricies est, elementum porttitor dolor mauris eu eros. Duis sollicitudin metus quis libero malesuada elementum. Curabitur sed risus turpis. Nam tempus nulla sed nibh dignissim venenatis. In sed tristique diam. Nullam pretium fermentum lectus. Cras bibendum molestie leo, vel bibendum nunc adipiscing a. Quisque tempor, lorem laoreet pellentesque tempor, tellus orci egestas metus, vel cursus enim mi vel mi. Praesent ac diam leo. Curabitur pulvinar fringilla venenatis.
Part 3: Miscellaneous Things
I was recently accepted to this music group that is really legit and intense. I am so excited!! Music is one of my favorite hobbies. It's one of my best talents, including science, math, writing, tennis, Latin, history, and basically anything else that you can think of. I also really enjoy Fanfiction (ZOMG! I LOVE FANFICTION!), being at church, my boyfriend, The Poof that is no longer <3, and YouTube videos. In fact, I've been watching YouTube for the past 4 and a half hours and got distracted from my post. Oops!

Apparently, the other parts of my post were deleted, but now it's late so I won't rewrite the masterpieces that you all know I have created. Enjoy the next six hours of your day!

CONVENTION IS IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS ZOMG

I'm so excited! Latin Convention is quickly approaching, and I can't wait. It's so great that we have something to look forward to in February, which is, overall, a terrible month.

A list of reasons why I don't like February:
10. So much homework. Teachers feel obligated to make second semester harder than first semester, because that way it seems like we're making progress.
9. It' so cold. The temperature this time of year makes me want to curl up in my bed and refuse to get up until April.
8. The cold makes me fat because I eat chocolate when I'm cold.
7. Ice. It's not fun. It's cold (see #9 and #8) and it's slippery and therefore is the source of many bruises on Virgil's poor posterior. Ice = bad.
6. Snow. It's nice in December when it's all white and fluffy, but now that it's been sitting there for a couple months it's all brown and gross and gets all over everything.
5. There's so much pink everywhere because of Valentine's Day. I don't mind Valentine's Day, but I HATE PINK.
4. The sun hardly ever comes out in February. The sun came out today, and it was probably the first time all month. That is sad. Which leads to #3:
3. The lack of sunshine and blue sky makes people depressed, like legit - clinical depression gets worse, which leads to #2:
2. More people commit suicide. Suicide = not good. It is very sad.
1. Did I already mention the COLD?

So yeah, now I'm done complaining.

Here are some things that I like about February:
4. Valentine's Day = <3
3. Sledding! (I haven't been sledding in ages, but it makes chilluns happy, and happy chilluns = good)
2. People who keep their Christmas lights up make me happy.
1. LATIN CONVENTION YAYY!!!!

So that's a 5:2 ratio of things that I don't like about February : things that I do like.
For most months, that ratio is more like 1:3, which is a much happier ratio.
Therefore, I have mathematically proved that February = bad. Even the Romans thought so! They named it after the word for fever, and fever is bad.

Now I'm going to talk about parody week, which shall be next week. 6LCF - you have all received the email which assigned you your Curly Fry whom you shall parody. Here is your assignment:
1. On your assigned person's day, you shall post. (The person who has Momo will post on Monday, etc.)
2. Post in that person's color.
3. Write it like a stereotypical post of said person - make fun of her, but DON'T BE MEAN. >:(
4. People can guess who wrote said post, but we will NOT be revealing who is who until the end of the week, or else it'll be no fun for the people at the end of the week.

Um, that's about it. Anyone else have rules they feel should be added? Leave them in the comments and I'll edit them in.

I think tomorrow (Sunday) we're doing a joint group-post for Valentine's Day, even though the holiday is actually Monday - unless the person who is Momo has an idea for a Valentine's Day post. If you are that person, please comment anonymously and let us know that you want to do the Valentine's Day post.

In other news - I'm starting a new novel called The Second Star to the Right, and xiy and/or House and/or anyone else who wants to (besides my immediate family, who are not allowed to read anything I write) are invited to be my Official Editors.

This is a long post. I hope it didn't take too much effort for you to read it. Kudos if you stuck with me 'til* the end!

Happy Valentine's Day in advance!
Virgil

*I hate it when people say "till" when they mean "until" because it sounds like they're saying, "Xanthias, till the soil, for the field is small but the work is large" so I always say 'til.

It's Saturday and si nihil aliud nisi de...

I've memorized the first five words of the Latin recitation for Convention. Yay!

I usually post earlier than this, but I kind of forgot that today was Saturday until I checked the blog and wondered why there wasn't a new post up yet.
In other news, you should all know that Fuzzy (previously Poofy) posted on his blog for the first time in months, and you should all go read it.

Hmm, what should I talk about today? While I think of something to write, I'll just play the theme song for ya'll.
La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves Convention and projects too! That's Virgil's worrrllldd!!!

[You can go ahead and skip the really long paragraph below, if you want. It's just me ranting.]

Si nihil aliud nisi de...
So, uh, I guess I'll talk about Latin Convention. But because I do that, I want to point out that House, Momo, Lynda, and xiy were all at a Science Olympiad competition today and they beasted. I was not there because I am a butt, and Carrie was not there because she's too cool for that sort of thing. To explain myself further - I originally thought that I wouldn't be able to do Science Olympiad this year because of the crazy logistics involved and the fact that I wouldn't be able to make it to half of the competitions, but then the thing that was supposed to be today got canceled and I thought about contacting Shcience Guy to say that yeah, I could do one of the competitions, but then I realized that all of the events that I was good in last year are either no longer existent or they've changed, so I would have to start from scratch for getting prepared which would just suck. Also, he's probably assigned my would-be events to other people because I originally thought I wouldn't be able to do it, so if I rejoined it would probably be an unwanted intrusion. But I'm still really sad about not going because Science Olympiad competitions were always really fun. :'(
ANYWAYS Latin Convention is in less than three weeks, which is really exciting. I've only done one project so far, but I want to do one or two more. I'm still trying to come up with ideas.

I'm sorry this post couldn't be more entertaining. I'm sorry that I didn't go to Science Olympiad. I am very sad right now. :(

Virgil's new favorite animal & the use of Latin in daily life

SHABBAT SHALOM, EVERYBODY!!!

La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves her dragons, and Latin too! That's Virgil's worrrlldd!!!!
Okay, I have three things to cover in today's post. Here's Thing 1 and Thing 2:

Just kidding. That's not what I'm talking about today. But look - aren't they adorable?

Okay, here's the second (third?) thing I'd like to discuss.

This is not just any dinosaur, my friends. This is a reconstructed skeleton of the dracorex hogwartsia, my new favorite animal.

According to Wikipedia (and of course, everything on Wikipedia is 100% true):
Dracorex is a dinosaur genus of the family Pachycephalosauridae , from the Late Cretaceous of North America. The type (and only) species is Dracorex hogwartsia, meaning "dragon king of Hogwarts."
Get the reference? You're a winner.

It's just the most epic thing I've ever seen.

OK so earlier today I was at a bat mitzvah, and we were talking about teachers' tenures.
Someone said, "I don't get what 'tenure' means. Why is it called tenure? What does it come from, Greek?"
Me: "It probably comes from the Latin teneo, to hold."
Person: "That can't be right. Why's the 'u' in there, then?"
Me: "Maybe it's derived from the third principal part, tenui."
Person: "Oh. I guess that makes sense."

LATIN WIN!! We're going to beast at the Certamen invitational tomorrow.
:)

Byeeeee!!!!!

Guess what Tomorrow is? 1/11/11!!

Hello, people of the Milky Way Galaxy et alia!! How has your Monday been? Mine has been rather average. You know how Mondays are. I don't have any exciting news to share besides:
1. Finals start on Friday (omg imma dieeeeee!)
2. We're having a 6LCF partay on the Friday after finals XD

LAWLZ!!!
So, in my Bible studies class (which is awesome, by the way) we did this riddle thing and I wanted to post it on here but it's about religion and non-religious people probably wouldn't even get it. Instead, I think that I shall post a random riddle on here. Never mind. Google doesn't provide riddles that meet my high expectations. Do you guys know any good riddles? Now look at these fun pictures.

This is a picture from an old Latin book. Sextus, the guy with his mouth open, is Virgil's son. :O

Gotta get some studying done now.

Funny Video

Hello! I'm not going to have a long post. I've remembered a video that I once watched on Youtube...I decided to share with you (and save y'all from hearing me breakdown about Science Olympiad, and how the officials won't let us change the places, and how 3/5 of the Dream Team is dead(no, not b-ball. The Dream Team I'm talking about is so much cooler) that day, AKA, they have Latin thingy, and I'm panicking about how we'll even go to States with all the good people besides xiy and me, and, and ,and....*PANIC*)...Yeah...This is a much better option :)
The video is from Howcast...it's very funny...:D It should brighten your day a bit. Now, I have to go and panic more and try to write a SEARCH for my I-Search essay. Even though I supposedly already finished it...half of it...yeah...Enjoy!
Love, Lynda

Marching

Busy day. I marched in a parade with the Latin Club. Our float was the best, even though German Club won. Then I marched in the marching band at a football game. In the rain. A lot of marching today. It was fun.

It's October!!! Yayy!!!

DFTBA,

Back Pains, Ice Cream Socials, and Kindergarten!

HI! Today at school, I realized that my posture had become like an old crone's. I straightened my spine, and felt pain. At which point, I panicked and decided that I had developed a rare case of Early Years Arthritis (EYA!). My backpack is way too heavy, and I have way too much homework. Is that me complaining? YES!
Ah, next point. ICE CREAM social! I went to that today, and signed up for various clubs. They are: Latin Club-Although, I don't know why. I don't take Latin, don't speak/write/read Latin. I only know a bunch of Latin freaks who peer-pressured me.
French Club-which I have a legitimate reason for joining, I take Latin French(great, now I'm writing LATIN for everything!) so I understand it a bit.
YEH-Youth Eat Hunger?  Youth Evaluate Hair? You Even Hurl? Ah, I forget what it means. Which just says that I'm not doing it. I'm not quite sure why I signed up for it...
Women's Crew AKA Rowing. It's actually a sport, and I already signed up for it, so.. yeah.
Last topic! KINDERGARTEN! Mysister went to her first half-day at Kindergarten today, and she was so proud of herself when I got home today, (This is where you go, "Awwww"!)and I went like, *SQUEAL* OMIGOSH, YOU'RE SO CUTE! *SQUEAL*!!! Then, I realized she's growing up, and I overreacted. *SOB* *WAIL* *SNIFFLE* "You're growing up before my eyes, and I'm just blinking, and you're almost 5!!!(I said 5 like it was 50) You're going to be going to first grade soon!(Said first grade like, some-faraway-land's-college-where-I'll-never-see-you-again!) *WEEP* *MOAN* *CRY* *SNIFF SNIFF*
Yup, done now! Tomorrow, I'm waking up at 6:20 to get ready for Greek...which starts at 7:10, and I live, like, 2 minutes away (walking moderately) from the school. So, I'm kinda being early. Maybe I'll change my alarm clock to 6:30 or 6:40...Maybe I'll just decide not to take Greek, after tomorrow. IDK what I'll do. I do know I need to go to sleep NOW or I'll never be able to wake-up tomorrow!

G'nigh'!
 晚安!<-for House, as a test.

We'll Take the World By Storm... It Isn't That Hard

"The door opened wide, but it wasn't grandmother who opened it. It was Buzz Aldrin, America's #2 spaceman! For this was not Granny's little house at all, but the headquarter of NASA, the American space research agency." —Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl (1982)

Ahh, hello.

(I don't got none much to say today, so this'll be a fairly short post....)

Today, I won a Latin dictionary from a raffle we had in our Latin class.  As I walked down the street towards my house, I fantasised.  In my fantasy, I swagga'd down the sidewalk, my Latin dictionary swinging as it hung from my neck on a nice, heavy gold chain.  All the people that walked by thought, "Dangggg, I'm totally jealous of her and her dictionary."  And then one of our Latin teachers (let's call her Mrs. O'Hart) flew in the magical way that she does and started rapping about carriages stuck in ditches and how to get them out ("Raeda in Fossā Haerēbat, Stulte" by Magistra O'Hart).  And it was amazing.  You should have been there, defo.

Anyway, onto things not concerning Latin [tear, tear]: at lunch today, I taught Virgil what an interrobang(/interabang/quesclamation mark) is.  It's when just a question mark or just an exclamation point just isn't enough, so you gotta have both.  (Exempli gratia [<- Latin, teehee], DUDE, WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT THAT?!) Tonight, Carrie and I will be attending our last school dance of the year... it promises to be hot, sweaty, and maybe even a little bit interesting.

Today, I learned how to spell "fuchsia." (Okay, okay, xiy.  Maybe I didn't learn that today.  But I learned it fairly recently, and I can't think of much else.  And it's really difficult to spell "fuchsia." Legittt.)

Questions:
1) What is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything?
2) How totally wicked is Neville on a scale from 1–50?
3) What eye colour is your favourite?
4) Do you have our school system's fight song memorised?  (If the answer is "No," then why not?!)
5) How many fingers am I holding up?
6) Are you Asian?
7) AHHHHH, SCHOOL'S ALMOST OVER... AHHHHH

With all due respect,
House
