Lynda's first wedding...

So I'm currently sitting at the table with my family and another Chinese family. It's the cocktail part of the wedding. My very first wedding!!! It's so prett here there are marble columns and decorations that are so pretty. It's all really fancy and stuff. The color theme is pink and white, which could be bad(then again, all color themes can go awry if it's done badly) but they've made it so pretty. The pink is this vibrant and bright pink that's really quite gorgeous. And then the white is a nice snow white ( and not thode awful off-whites or blindingly fake whites) that works well with he pnk. The flowers are all white and pink. The centerpieces are lovely. There's this Chinese feel to the whole thing too cuz there are red lanterns and "大喜"s that are typical of a Chinese wedding. The whole thing is done nicely. Anyways, I should start with the morning. This morning, my dearest mommy woke up and realized that she had nothing to wear to the wedding. Which led to me parading around with all of my skirts and dressy shirts for her to see. Nothing pleased her that much so we went shopping for dresses (which made me perfectly happy, although I already had my outfit, this counts as a shopping opportunity). So we spent our morning at Marshall's looking at clothing and stuff so I ended up with some shorts(yeah!) and my mom got this really pretty dress. My sister got a really pretty shoes. Then we headed to the wedding ceremonly which was at 3:30. The ceremony was held at some park, and here I should mention that it is currently 88 degrees where we Curly Fries live so it was very very hot. Anyways the wedding was sweet and there were some Jewish traditional stuff like wine drinking and glass smashing. It was fun. Then we waited till 5 to go to the cocktail and dinner site. Which is where I am. Later(it's now Monday) (apparently entering doesn't make good paragraphs, and this note is supposed to be at the bottom But I can't reach it so here it is. Sorry if this whole post is salience. I think immature edit it tomorrow. Sorry. Bye) Happy Memorial Day!!! The band Curly Fres were marching around in their uniforms and I watched them. Looked fun. Anyways, the whole dinner shenanigans was nice and there was food (free) and dancing and bouquet throwing and garter removals and throwing of said garters. Then there was dancing. The dancing I did not join in. Lastly there was cake eting and cutting ( with the order flipped). So anyways I am writing on an touch so please excuse any and all spelling/grammar mistakes as it takes too long to fix them. I don't hav much time left so to end, I'd like to say: happy Memorial Day, and blessings n best wishes to the families of lost veterans. Luv, Lynda Btw I can't change the color so pretend this s blue, ight?

(I changed it to blue for you, dear! ~Virgil)

WOMEN. SO MANY WOMEN.

Hi hi.

zomg finals, you guys.
finals are coming up.
finalsss.
I was at the track the other day. I brought my Latin notecards with me (*Asian*), but I had initially gone with intent to run as training for soccer. But then I started to run and began to freak out ["I don't know any adverbs I HATE ADVERBS. SEE, THAT SENTENCE LOOKS FINE WITHOUT ADVERBS."], so I ended up walking around the track for a while in the blazing sun, reviewing vocab. {Holy cow, it was hot.} Haha, there were all these actual athletes there that were looking at me funny as I muttered to myself "Eo magis, all the more; tot so many, like in Napoleon Dynamite, SO MANY TOTS..."*
Everything in life relates back to that movie...
So, today was my cousin's bridal shower. (Yayyy she's getting married :) ) And it was really nice and all. The bride&groom are super cute, and really happy :) And I got to see some family I really like that I don't often get to see 'cause of how far away they live! Yay!
But there are so many women. White women, that is.
Not just so many women. All the women. Like, all the women.
(Also, being the only non-white [unless you count spray-on tans] person in the room is always just the most memorable experience. Yayyyy...)

Also, I got my hair cut today. Iz lovely and shorter for the summer nao!

Aghgklfaj;kl I can't wait for it to be summer. Summer is the time for painted nails, pretty dresses, beaches, sleeping in, and watching movies in air conditioned theatres ^.^

Anyway, I should go to bed soon. Marching in the Memorial Day parade tomorrow earlyyy, then a barbecue. Yay for America.

With all due respect,
House.
*Like, I just get that image in my head. The one of him and his attractive cargo pants stuffed full of tots. So. many. tots.

Happy Memorial Day!!!

The title says it all. The end. Not really though....Happy Memorial Day though to those of you who live in the U.S. of A. with us! In our little town (that isn't too little) we celebrate this lovely holiday with a giant parade (and we dom't have school, woot, woot!). The marching band comes out (we've got an AH-MAZING band) and all sorts of people march the 2 miles or so. Groups like Girl/Boy Scouts, soccer teams, hockey teams, churches, people campaigning, library people, and other random groups. This year I walked in the parade with my church, instead of walking however, I rode my unicycle. I'm cool like that. It was really, really hot and I died a little. It was fun to chuck handfuls of candy to little, ungrateful, greedy children. The hockey team (of like, eight year-olds) in front of us each had a bag of candy in one hand, and yet, when another one chucked some candy to the crowd, they all dove for it! I was like, "You do realize that you have a bag of candy in your other hand...right?" I didn't actually say that to them though. Before I went to the parade I was at Virgil's house, creepin' on her. Just kidding! We had a 6LCF sleepover in which we made sock puppets and a video. The video isn't loading very well so that will probably be added into this post later. We had so much fun making it though! First we "went swimming in the moonlight" as xiy says, then we came inside and "brainstormed" for an hour about what we would do. It ended up being improv and a dance. Lots of brainstorming required...

I just went swimming for an hour or so and now I'm back and the video that I was talking about is here!!!!! YAY!!!! I realize now that it may be a little boring for most people...but it is funny to us. So hmph! We finished video taping at like 12:30 last night, er...this morning. I am soooo happy for the monthiversary!!!

Hmm...what else...? In honor of Memorial Day I will tell you a short (very short) history of it. Ahem.
  1. It is a holiday. In the U.S.A. Where they remember people.
  2. It is always on the very last Monday of May (which is today O.o)
  3. Also known as Decoration Day.
  4. It was first celebrated for Union soldiers after the Civil War.
  5. Which is around when the Union was reunited. *clap, clap, clap*
  6. After World War I all soldiers were included in the celebration/memorial.
  7. At 3 p.m. local time, there is a remembrance for all who died (I didn't know that!!!)
  8. Back in the olden Confederate days, Memorial Day was celebrated with a solemn service remembering those who passed.
  9. There is "The National Memorial Day Concert" which takes place on the west lawn of the United States Capitol.
  10. Many schools recognize this as the start of summer. Ours doesn't. Poo.
Sorry for the short post people! Happy Monthiversary and Memorial day!!! And watch that video!!!!

Ooops! I forgot my question of the day! I only have 1+ 1/2.
  • Where do those white puffs that fly through the air come from and why are they so hard to catch?
