Fun. fun fun fun fun fun fun...

Well, hey there!

I have an announcement...I'm bald!
JK. ;D

but I suppose it's close enough to bald as compared to how much hair I had before. :P (y'all know)

Ahhhh! There's a doggie in my house. :3 I love dogs. They're so cute. :)

Ummm... Most of the Curly Fries went shopping and to a play today. I was quite jealous. But 'tis okay. :D I still had fun. My grandparents are over right now, anyway. And I don't see them much.

Anywhoo, it's the first day of winter break and so far it has been lovely. :D I am actually busy every single day for the next four! :O I have my family holiday party tomorrow, then I have to work on a project/ present with a friend, then on Tuesday I'm hanging out with Eggr. :) I'm very excited. Well, technically four counting today.

Ahhh, I'm so relieved that school is over. :) Now I just get to count down the days until mid-terms. Hecks yeah! (not really)

Ummm... my life is really boring so I don't have much more to say.

Yeah, so. BAI!
DFTBA! ♥

smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

**Sorry for the awful grammar. My fingers have just been spazzing out today.

NHD and Other Stupid Things

Winter break is on the near horizon. That means only one thing in the minds of all students taking APUSH right now: NHD!!!!!!!!!!!! Also the fact that finals are coming up (like the Greek final on Tuesday (omg I don't know any grammar or vocabulary or history (but besides that I'm good (but there isn't anything else)))). It also means Latin Convention (YAY!!!!) is coming up (YAY!!!) and that we should start projects (BOO!!!) and listening to House pester us to memorize things (BOO!!!). We also have band concerts next week (Virgil, House, and I are on Monday and Carrie's on Tuesday) aaaaand my sister's birthday is on the 13th.

Bio teacher made my life today. We were supposed to have a huge test on genetic-ey things and suchness but no one understands it completely in our class (even Virgil and that's saying something). He decided to spare our puny brains and move it to Monday. Oh joy! Oh happy day! *skips around* Lynda and House still have it tomorrow though. Ha.

Tomorrow I plan to donate blood for the first time ever. I've been reading up the website and looking at information. I'm technically a few pounds underweight but if I wear shoes and drink a lot, no one will notice. I've been eating very iron-ey (not irony) foods to get good blood and drinking lots of water. I'm pretty pumped. Hopefully I'll be eligible for donating. :D

That concludes today's post.

50 Things (err...21)

You know how a ton of YouTube people have done '50 Things' where they say 50 things in their room/house/whatever? I thought of that in Chinese club today so I think I'll do it with my backpack. It probably won't be nearly 50 things...

  1. Pencil case
  2. Fricking expensive calculator
  3. Ender's Game (it's sooo good so far even though I've barely read any of it)
  4. COLORED PENCILS!!!!
  5. Note to parent from September 16th...maybe I should give that to my parents...
  6. 2 plastic bags
  7. Chap-stick (the blue flavor)
  8. Cell phone
  9. Gum
  10. Origami (x2)
  11. Lanyard with nothing on it.
  12. Planner
  13. Math stuffs
  14. Bio stuffs
  15. APUSH stuffs
  16. Lunch box
  17. Latin textbook
  18. The Crucible
  19. Greek text book
  20. Letter from my German friends (I DIDN'T KNOW I HAD THAT!!!)
  21. Cute little animal things
That wasn't as interesting as I'd hoped. But, seeing as this week seems to be a boring-ish post week, I think I'll be OK.

Sup

Hey there, peeps...

Howdy y'all...

*cough*

HI!

Today's Monday.
I love Mondays. BECAUSE YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO A LOVELY WEEK OF SCHOOL.
OMG.

So we have this Andrew Jackson trial thing for APUSH tomorrow, and I have to sort of dress up, and I'm like...grrrr. It annoys me that Nicholas Biddle doesn't wear sweatpants and t-shirts all the time. Then I'd be like, comfortable. >.<

Yo.

So Chinese Club wants to build a frickin' float. A dragon, to be exact. How they're gonna do that, I have no idea. I'm just responsible for bringing duct tape.

Uh....

That's about it for today.
Sorry for the boring post; it's been a long day and there's Greek tomorrow...sooo...I'm not really in the mood for a long drawn out post.

Lynda

I am reading a novel about the French Revolution,

but at the moment, I don't think it's terribly good. I am, however, only on page 76, so perhaps I should reserve further judgement until later.

The book is Revolution by Jennifer Donnelly, and apparently it's supposed to be good (this opinion originating from the letter from the publisher stuffed at the front of the book), and it's about the French Revolution and I like the French Revolution, so, hey. Maybe when it gets more into the historical bits and less about the main character angsting and angsting and angsting (and angsting and angsting and angsting). Because that's already getting really boring.

It's Carrie's birthday soon! Happy almost birthday!

Aaaaaaand ummm. There was book club today. We ate cookies and it was fun.

I think we need another theme week. I can't think of anything to really post.

So I will be taking my inspiration from Momo's "Five Ways To Start an Interesting Post," because I am unoriginal like that.

2. In elementary school, the best way to spend recess was...

On sort of rainy, drab-ish days like today (today was very rainy and very drab) when one's breath was visible in the air (the raininess and drabness hasn't quite reached that point yet), I remember we'd always play dragons and pretend to be blowing smoky water vapor and exploding things with our fiery breaths. It was really fun, and a good way to pass the time too, since on rainy days the slides would almost all be out of commission and monkey bars are no fun if one gets one's hands all wet and cold while hanging off them.

And then in winter, there would be all sorts of games along the lines of Antarctic Explorers and See How Fast We Can Pull The Sled and Dig Candy Out Of The Snow and Throw Badly-Made Snowballs At Badly-Made Snow Forts.

I miss elementary school. ):

Happy Friday Eve!

Ice cream and candy and cookies oh my! Om nom nom. I eat waaay too many sweets. Fo realz. I should change my name to Augustus Gloop. My cholesterol is probably higher than all of y'alls' combine, not to mention my blood sugar...

I'll have an ice cream as I type.

This is gonna be problematic when I'm older...
Anywaysies. My grandparents are coming tomorrow! Yippee! AND we have book club and it's FRIDAY!!!!! <---ALL TOMORROW!!!

Now to the question I always find myself asking on Thursday nights: Will this post have a subject or not?

Please Choose One: Yes or No

If no--> Gahh. I have writer's block. This counts as a post, eh? Kaybai.

Looove, Momo

If yes-->I just Googled a prompt generator and it told me to think of prompts...did I not just look up prompt generator so I wouldn't have to do that very thing?
  Alas, I shall try, though.
Ahem.

1. I remember when I met _______, I thought...

2. In elementary school, the best way to spend recess was...[playing "domesticate the horse" with xiy and Lynda]
3.If you could make any inanimate thing come to life it would be... [uuh. A pencil/keyboard that would write/type everything I said when I told it to]
4. Discuss your relationship to your cat(s) and how much you love them/how they control your life. [I love them thiiiiis much.]

5. Analyze the relationships of EZ and House and Carrie and Eggr and point out all gushy parts about said relationships.

Gah. I'm sorry for that. All that took me half an hour because I'm so spazzy today. Sorry. Yep.

hooray for fridays!

Today there was supposed to be a fencing tournament and Momo, Virgil, and I were going to attend (and get soundly beaten by the eleven-year-olds, probably), but then it turned out to be an epee tournament (and for those who don't know, epee involves a slightly larger weapon and a larger target area and is generally far scarier than good ol' foil), and none of us know how to fence epee. And so we chose to stay safely at home instead of getting beaten by the adults who are apparently attending, because if there's anything worse than a scary fencing eleven-year-old, it's a scary fencing adult.

Speaking of fencing, I read a book called Foiled about a week ago that talked about fencing. It was kind of interesting to see what a legit fencer's life is like, though the plot got all muddy and strange about three-quarters of the way through, and it wasn't really developed properly. I don't know if there's supposed to be a sequel or if it was just because it was a graphic novel and there was some sort of restraint on length, but the plot was very badly explained toward the end. The drawing style was very good, though. And some of the double-page illustrations were really beautiful.

Also, I'm really tired. Today wasn't even a Greek day (and I fell asleep at ~10:30 last night too, which, all things considered, is fantastically early), but I woke up tired and the biology test didn't help at all, though I'm cautiously hoping that I didn't do too badly.

And I really should be doing homework right now, but since I came home I've basically just been sitting around at home, eating and reading Agatha Christie. I really must have no life. (Agatha Christie is lovely, though. I'm reading The Mirror Crack'd at the moment, in a four-in-one Miss Marple Meets Murder book.)

The start of NHD is looming up rather scarily already, even though it's not completely due until January. APUSH Teacher is hinting pretty heavily that any boards (should we choose that option) are going to need to be MUSEUM QUALITY!11!1! and nothing less, which, uh, considering the state of last year's Robespierre board, might be rather difficult. But House and I are hoping for the best. :)

I was going to say something but then I forgot what I was going to say, and now I can't think of anything remotely interesting and so I guess I'll end it here. Or something.

I WILL TRY TO DRAW SOMETHING AND POST IT NEXT WEEK TO MAKE MY POST ACTUALLY INTERESTING. I WILL TRY.

Thisposthasnosubjectyay!

Today is Thursday.

The last Thursday before...

..it...

D:
We shant speak of it.

Anyway. Tomorrow is our marching band performance. All of the squads (groups of 4-5 of like instruments) can dress up in costumes together.
For example, my group considered:
  1. Disney princesses
  2. Trees (?)
  3. Strippers (not my idea in any way)
  4. Cops that are really strippers (still not my idea)
  5. Harry Potter characters
  6. Skittles
  7. alcoholic beverages (once again, not my idea)
  8. playing cards
  9. dominos
  10. the 7 Dwarves
  11. Antoine Dodsen(s)
  12. Cars
We ended up choosing cars because it would be the easiest. All we're wearing are t-shirts with the logos of various cars on the front.
We're really lazy.

What else?

Uuuh. A giant storm just passed through. It was crazy.

Wasn't that a fun and lazy summer post?

It was.

Bye.

We shant be speaking of the horrible tragedy that will come true in 1 1/2 weeks.

No. We will pretend that the s-word doesn't exist.
******
I was sleep-talking last night. Did you all know that I sleep-talk a lot?
I do.
Whenever I share a bed with my mom on vacations or whatever she tells me that I talk in my sleep and she can even have conversations with me.
Anyways.
Apparently I was sitting in my bed going, "HULLO? HULOOOOOOOO?". My mom walked in to see if I was okay and I said something about a devil or something.

I think I should video tape myself sleeping one time. That'd be a guaranteed YouTube hit.
 ******
VIRGIL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But xiy and Lynda are just now leaving for their vay-cay. That makes me sad.
 ******
Next week is band camp!!! I'm so excited to see my friends!!!

Virgil and her twinsie are squad leaders. I already know my squad because my sister is a field commander (conductor) but I wish Virgil's sister was my squad leader. Poo. She's so cool.
******
Aglarblahr. Tomorrow I have to get my teeth cleaned with the stupid blind dentists who think that when they scrape chunks of gum out everything is jolly-good. I hate themmm.
******
I'm gonna miss these summer posts with no subject.
I straightened my hair today and thought of you, Housie-poo!!
LOVE,
MOMO

aggggh I nearly forgot to post

So how's life? Lovely, I hope.

(Today's post is going to be rather short and rambly, because I didn't plan it in the least.)

I volunteered today in the children's garden of the Curly Fries' botanical garden as per usual, and it was pretty fun. I got to spend most of the time indoors in the blessed AC dumping soil into flowerpots (apparently it's for tomorrow's "fairy workshop," which I think involves small children [mostly girls] dressed in fairy-like costumes and planting cute little plants in the pots I worked so hard to fill up), and although that was a rather messy task, it was indoors, which basically makes up for everything. Today wasn't as hot as yesterday, but the sun was still rather terrible. It did rain, though, so at the moment it's quite cool (and humid) out. :)

Um. And then I started on a Phantom-Tollbooth-inspired bit of art that I haven't started coloring yet, though I will sometime soon.

Speaking of art, THIS is my entry for the Splashlife/HP Alliance Imagine Better art contest (it has my real-life first name it it, gasp). I guess voting on it opens tomorrow (?), and so if you want me to win lots of money (why would you? :|a), please go vote or like it or something. I dunno.

Okay, that's all for today.

happy first of july!

Today concluded my first day of medical-camp-thing, and I guess overall it was okay. The people are nice; the food is surprisingly delicious; the counselors are all a lot more fun than I expected. The field trips mostly involved getting lectured at for one-and-a-half hour sessions, which isn't so fun, but it's not horrible or anything (just a bit boring).

At the Chinese/Asian store today, my mother bought Pocky for me. It is very good (♥), though she doesn't see the appeal and now is lamenting her decision to buy it. I am not. (She also bought quails' eggs, which really don't taste at all different from chicken eggs, so it was kind of pointless.)

In three days, it will be American Independence Day. Hooray for fireworks, lots of food, and a day off from work (and medical-camp-thing)! :D And today also marks two weeks until HPDH part II, which is EVEN MOAR EXCITING.

Um. And I also drew a new banner, though I guess I won't be putting it up until after July 15.

I think that's it. Sorry for writing such a fail of a short post.

Friday, June 10, 2011

it still doesn't feel like summer.

It's cold and rainy today and it feels like I should be doing homework (well, technically I should be; silly APUSH). But I'm not, because I am writing this post. And because it is cold and rainy, it doesn't feel like summer.

(Why is it that, if it's not unbearably hot in Curlyfryland, it's cold and grey and raining nonstop? Ugh. I would love a nice, sunny, pleasantly warm day that is supposed to occur between the months of April and June that we got maybe two or three of this year. :|)

Anyway.

Unlike Virgil and Momo and probably most of the other Curly Fries, I shall be staying solidly at home this summer. I would love to go to Europe or China*, but I don't think it's going to happen, which is unfortunate. So I'll get to enjoy more of Curlyfryland's bipolar weather (at least we're not getting tornadoes, which is definitely a plus). Whee.

I keep talking about the weather. This must be boring you. I shall stop.

Do you know how many days are left until HPDH part II? 35. THIRTY-FIVE DAYS. /flail.
I just watched the part II trailer yesterday (because a) I didn't know there was a separate trailer until a few weeks ago silly me; and b) I wanted to save the sudden spike of anticipation resulting from trailer-viewing for a later, more manageable date) and AHHHHHH. /flails some more.

I think that's pretty much it for today. Goodbye.

xiy

*So I got my Greencard stuff sorted out (finally; it's been ~six years), and so now I can go to other places with slightly less hassle. And my mother wants me to go to China to take etiquette lessons. (Well, I mean, there's the whole visit-the-relatives-and-go-sightseeing thing, but etiquette classes or whatever is what stuck out.) Gee, thanks, Mom. Glad you think that's a priority. >.>"

sunday sunday sunday look

so.

the most exciting things this week are two concerts bands I'm in are preparing for. the school's getting ready for our ice cream social, which might be a bit muddy. but we get to start marching in preparation for this fall soon. yay ^.^ I miss marching band.
and this local band thing Virgil and I are in is getting ready to wrap up our season, as well.
(also, I want to get more practice with making Dichotomous Keys... *exciting new thing to do during English class*)

speaking of Virgil... she is, as usual, nudging me to write this faster. I should warn you all that your weekly Sunday post might come to you rather late at night, since Sunday night is Homework Time and yeah. procrastination FTL

we just celebrated our lovely anniversary at Momo's house, which was quite fun, since it was a sleepover :) I'm sure pictures or something are gonna be posted soon... I had to miss a lot of it, but we ended up playing with Play-Doh and Momo's trained squirrel, eating cake and cupcakes and other dinner/chocolate things, and watching Starship, Starkid Potter's latest play-thing.
Starship was... um... unique? (link... warning: it's wicked long) where "unique" mean "you'll probably have at least a couple nightmares."

that's about it. sorry there's not much to report on...
I'm going to drag my sleep-deprived body {they woke me up at ten o'clock! >.<} upstairs to shower and go to bed. I need sleep in order to be creative and in excellent shape for fanfic writing with Momo and xiy, which this week should be full of. {check Momo's personal blog for updates} it's a special present for the main characters ^.^

also, don't forget: tomorrow is Lynda's day!!! monday fits her personality so well :)

With all due respect,
House.

Monday, February 7, 2011

Agh! I forgot to post!!! Well, almost. I'm really tired so here's the news:
1. Saturday was Science Olympiad. I had fun.
2. Today was school. I did not have fun.
3. House and I got "yelled" at in Latin class.
4. Tomorrow we have to take a stupid math test.
5. I am almost done with my Latin Convention project. Yay!
Secret Message: I was lying in bed thinking that I was forgetting something...

heyyoo

Oh, hai there!

Happy Wednesday! How have everyone's holidays been? Good? Great.

There is currently a sprinkle of some sort stuck under my 'x' key... Meh. Now I have to press really hard to get it to show up. Haha, I swear, that's the only way I could say it for y'all to understand what I mean.

Hum-di-dum. I just got home from working on a German project. It was quite successful, we had usable material on the first shoot. :) Now, I can just sit on my bed, fold laundry, do homework, and listen to music for the rest of the day. And that actually doesn't sound too bad... Maybe I'll watch a movie later when I'm "done"*.

I have nothing particularly interesting to say. School starts back up in a couple days for me and my fellow curly fries (my fellow curly fries and I?). Eh, either way...
Yay, finals in two weeks. I'll probably start studying next week, that should give me enough time, plus the weekend. :)

Sooooo, whatcha doing for New Years? I heard Virgil's having a New Years party at her house. I might just chill at home with some friends, patiently waiting for the year 2011 to arrive in all of it's glory... Yep.

I think I'm gonna just go now... Nice talking to ya!
DFTBA! ♥

Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

GOT ME MAH HOT CHO CO LATE

Hello.

Yeah, man. It's autumnywinter, which means it's hot chocolate and Hulu watching season.  I'm sitting here and typing this and sipping some good old Swiss Miss Because I'm Wayyyy Too Lazy to Make Better.  And I think my mouth is like on fire.  Yay.

So... yeah.  Not much going on with me this week.  The only thing really is that Symphonic Band audition results are next week, yay for me and Carrie and Momo.  Uh, tomorrow's Virgil's day, and she's, like, super busy with Latin and band and stuff, so that'll be fun to read about.

Sorry about the lame butt post.  I think the extreme temperatures are affecting my brain thing.

Yeah, bye.

With all due respect,
House

I decided to put the quote at the end because Elmo's too much of a win not to have the last word.
