A few months passed, and the phenomenon known as summer vacation scattered the Curly Fries all over the country and globe, making communication difficult (and everybody was too lazy to bother with organizing things, anyway).
Then school started, and the Curly Fries renewed their efforts to start a book club. They even got as far as voting on a children's book of Norse mythology before outside circumstances killed the book club in the bud. The Curly Fries were too lazy or too busy to find the book; it was the start of high school and they were swamped; and so on.
Thus, the book club page seemed doomed to forever remain Coming Soon and Page Under Construction, but with the help of five of the six Curly Fries' old English teacher, book club seems once again to be a possibility!
And Now Onto the Future!
So the Six Little Curly Fries are proud to announce that we have finally (finally!) decided that, for our first-ever book club, we will be reading Room by Emma Donoghue.
November 2011: We have since moved on to reading Caleb's Crossing by Geraldine Brooks, although circumstances have conspired to make it so that the process of meeting and reading has been quite slowed. So do please take your time!
