Hey there, peeps...
Howdy y'all...
*cough*
HI!
Today's Monday.
I love Mondays. BECAUSE YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO A LOVELY WEEK OF SCHOOL.
OMG.
So we have this Andrew Jackson trial thing for APUSH tomorrow, and I have to sort of dress up, and I'm like...grrrr. It annoys me that Nicholas Biddle doesn't wear sweatpants and t-shirts all the time. Then I'd be like, comfortable. >.<
Yo.
So Chinese Club wants to build a frickin' float. A dragon, to be exact. How they're gonna do that, I have no idea. I'm just responsible for bringing duct tape.
Uh....
That's about it for today.
Sorry for the boring post; it's been a long day and there's Greek tomorrow...sooo...I'm not really in the mood for a long drawn out post.
Luv,
Lynda

hooray for fridays!
Today there was supposed to be a fencing tournament and Momo, Virgil, and I were going to attend (and get soundly beaten by the eleven-year-olds, probably), but then it turned out to be an epee tournament (and for those who don't know, epee involves a slightly larger weapon and a larger target area and is generally far scarier than good ol' foil), and none of us know how to fence epee. And so we chose to stay safely at home instead of getting beaten by the adults who are apparently attending, because if there's anything worse than a scary fencing eleven-year-old, it's a scary fencing adult.
Speaking of fencing, I read a book called Foiled about a week ago that talked about fencing. It was kind of interesting to see what a legit fencer's life is like, though the plot got all muddy and strange about three-quarters of the way through, and it wasn't really developed properly. I don't know if there's supposed to be a sequel or if it was just because it was a graphic novel and there was some sort of restraint on length, but the plot was very badly explained toward the end. The drawing style was very good, though. And some of the double-page illustrations were really beautiful.
Also, I'm really tired. Today wasn't even a Greek day (and I fell asleep at ~10:30 last night too, which, all things considered, is fantastically early), but I woke up tired and the biology test didn't help at all, though I'm cautiously hoping that I didn't do too badly.
And I really should be doing homework right now, but since I came home I've basically just been sitting around at home, eating and reading Agatha Christie. I really must have no life. (Agatha Christie is lovely, though. I'm reading The Mirror Crack'd at the moment, in a four-in-one Miss Marple Meets Murder book.)
The start of NHD is looming up rather scarily already, even though it's not completely due until January. APUSH Teacher is hinting pretty heavily that any boards (should we choose that option) are going to need to be MUSEUM QUALITY!11!1! and nothing less, which, uh, considering the state of last year's Robespierre board, might be rather difficult. But House and I are hoping for the best. :)
I was going to say something but then I forgot what I was going to say, and now I can't think of anything remotely interesting and so I guess I'll end it here. Or something.
I WILL TRY TO DRAW SOMETHING AND POST IT NEXT WEEK TO MAKE MY POST ACTUALLY INTERESTING. I WILL TRY.

Please Leave a Message After the Tone...
Dearest Reader,
You have reached the voice-mail of www.sixlittlecurlyfries.blogspot.com. We are currently unavailable at the moment due to the start of stupid, stupid high school (year II). We would be glad to hear from you in the comments section, but we are currently being smothered by piles upon piles of homework. "What?!" you may ask. You heard correctly. We've only had three days of school, yet somehow, beyond my understanding, our teachers have managed to load us up with hours of homework and studying. Anyways. We apologize for any inconvenience. We all know that you, reader, look forward to a 6LCF post every day (except Wednesday, of course) for all of your entertainment needs. Hopefully someone will find it in their busy schedules this week to write an actual post.
Until then, goodbye!
Again, we are all truly sorry for the lack of depthy posts. Hopefully you don't die of sadness without us.
Love,
Momo (and all the other curly fries, I'm sure)
I hate homewooorrrrrrrkkkkkkkk

School.
Ick. It starts tomorrow >.<
North Carolina was gorgeous. I'm too lazy to go into details, but, it was gorgeous. The weather was nice and sunny, there were beaches everywhere, it was warm, there was a cool sea breeze everyday....*sigh*
Tomorrow school starts, and I'm sort of excited and sort of nervous. Bah. I miss summer already.
In NC, we visited the Wright Brothers National Memorial. Lovely day.
We also went to Jockey Ridge National Park. Lovely sand. (It wasn't too hot...event though it was extremely sunny)
We flew kites. Pretty. We named xiy's kite 'The Bully' and my sister's kite 'England'. England is a unicorn with pink forelocks. :)
Yup.
So we came home yesterday, and on the way home, we went to get groceries from a Chinese/Asian market that we go to. (I believe xiy goes here sometimes) I happened to have my camera with me, so I took a couple of pictures that were interesting or sparked my interest.
Okay. The pictures will come (along with comments) next week, since my SD card is acting up. Argh.
SCHOOL. TOMORROW. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Book club! Yay!
FRAPPUCCINOS!!!!
MOCHA FRAPPUCCINOS!!!
NORTH CAROLINA!!!!!
BEACH!!!
SUMMERRR!!!!!!!
LYNDA!!!!!!
P.S. Exciting thing I found out today: DAMIAN from Celtic Thunder, is in The Glee Project. I may very well watch that just because he is in it. Such a lovely baritone voice. SUCH GORGEOUS EYES!!! Everyone in Celtic Thunder (this band/group of singers) has SUCH BEAUTIFUL EYES!!! *is jealous*

heyyyy guess who it is
Yup, it's one-year-older xiy, posting to you at 10:40 PM on her last night in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It's been an absolutely lovely vacation (I stomped on crabs; flew kites; got sand stuck in my unmentionables; collected shells; swam around in dirty water [but also beautiful huge Atlantic-Ocean-waves that were the best things ever <3]; built sand castles; and was mauled by small children, caught in a nightmarish traffic jam halfway through Virginia [the worst thing EVER], devoured by mosquitoes, and sunburnt to a crisp), but I'm quite happy to be coming home.
I'd be happier, of course, if "going home" meant that a certain s-word wasn't involved as well. Ugh.
I SAW THIS YEAR'S SCHEDULE. It seems pretty alright.
I also got a bright-pink T-shirt. House would be proud. Lynda got a windbreaker and we got presents for the rest of you Curly Fries (<3) and it was fun. Today, we hiked up multiple giant sand dunes and burned in the heat and then went crabbing. How the parents expect to eat fifteen crabs tomorrow morning (because obviously we can't take stinking crabs along with us in the car) I'll never know, but I suppose they'll think of something.
And then we went to eat very-fried seafood and I don't think I'm going to eat for another week. It was really delicious, though the waitress was a bit rude.
Tomorrow means (two) all-day car rides and Curlyfryland; I've missed you all and I want to see your Lovely Shining Faces (TM) again~! Lynda (who is sitting beside me) says hi. ^.^
How has your summer gone? Beautifully, I hope. To all the people who've yet to start school: IT'S COMING HOLY CRAPPITY CRAP D:. To all the people who've already started: It must be terrible. :( I hope you get through it with a minimum of limbs lost.
Goodbyeeee and see you next Friday!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 Review - Part 3 (& other things)
Okay, so this is Part 3 of my Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 review. I started this a month ago... let's see if I can finish it tonight!
I left off at "lightning has struck, I repeat, lightning has struck!"
Now I shall move on to one of my least favorite moments of the movie, but that's okay because right after that is one of my most favorite moments. The least favorite moment is when Ginny walks in and just kind of gawks at Harry, like, "HUH? WHA?" She should have been ecstatic to see him, the love of her life who's been on-the-run-and-possibly-dead for the last eight months. She should throw her arms around him or something. Ron's comment about how she doesn't even say hello to her brother is funny, and then Seamus saying "she only want Harry" was also funny, I guess... but the whole moment was quite awkward, and I feel like the humor was unnecessary in a time that's obviously a transition into the more dangerous-and-serious part of the movie.
Also, in this whole scene, there's a random ginger standing next to Cho Chang who looks like she could be like ten years old. What is she doing in Dumbledore's Army?
After that awkward Room of Requirement thing comes one of the best scenes ever, in any movie, EVER - when Snape calls the students together and asks about Harry Potter's whereabouts, and then Harry just pops out from the crowd and is like, "uh, you've got a security problem." AND THEN the Order of the Phoenix shows up and the crowd goes wild! Snape and McGonagall's duel, although short, was nothing less than truly epic. I don't remember if I've said this before, but Alan Rickman and Maggie Smith basically showed up everyone else in terms of acting.
I was disappointed that all of Slytherin House was escorted to the dungeons, rather than given the choice to fight or go home. I also don't like how they didn't evacuate the underage students - in the book, McGonagall's first priority is to keep the students safe and under control, but in the movie the battle just sort of starts and then everyone in Hogwarts is running every which way with no apparent purpose other than to emphasize the hysteria.
THEY SKIPPED THE SCENE IN RAVENCLAW TOWER. I understand that it was for time's sake, and that the scene is quite pointless in the book because all Harry does is find out what the diadem looks like, but still. I WANTED TO SEE RAVENCLAW TOWER. Oh, well. Maybe that's a good thing, because now the image of the Tower that I have in my mind can remain untainted by the influence of film.
Helena Ravenclaw was SO CREEPY. In that one part when she get's all mad, "HE DEFILED IT WITH DARK MAGIC!!" her eyes get all bulgy and weird, and that was probably the scariest part of the film for me, no joke. I was sad that they cut out the random back story about Helena and the Bloody Baron, but I guess it doesn't actually matter to the plot. Going on simultaneously with this scene - the protection of Hogwarts is truly awesome. That magical shield that the Order & teachers built - it was so well-done! (Although, I must say, it looked better in 2D. The 3D made it a bit cheesy.)
[All these comments about the battle might be a bit out-of-order. It all happened so fast!!]
Around this time, there's a shot of Fred and George talking. "You alright, Fred?"
OH MY GODRIC. This is the part when I started bawling, and I didn't stop until a few days later.
Also, McGonagall activating the suits of armor was pretty BA. I'm not sure if "I've always wanted to use that spell" was really needed, but I can't help but love anything that comes out of her mouth. Neville on the bridge... ah, I love Neville so much. It was so cool how they were able to blow it up.
The Room of Hidden Things was well-done. The Fiendfyre looked really cool (again, the 3D did NOT live up to expectations, but I liked it in 2D) although I'm not sure why they felt the need to stab the diadem with the basilisk fang, when the Horcrux got destroyed by the magical fire anyways. Oh wait, THAT REMINDS ME. I skipped a VERY IMPORTANT PART.
Ron & Hermione 4 evahhhhhh!! ohmygoodness the kiss was perfect. I never ship Ron or Hermione with anyone else because they're both so perfect for each other! (On a side note, I actually did once read a fanfic when Harry and Hermione hooked up, but it was okay because Ron was dead.) I loved it when Ron told Hermione to kill the cup, and she was like I can't do it, and then he just looked her in the eye with such complete trust and told her that she could. Ahhh what a moment. <3 They just make me so happy! There were actually quite a few other R/H moments in this movie that I left out - for example, when they're trying to figure out where Harry went on the Marauder's Map and Ron points out that Hermione once told him that the Room of Requirement doesn't show up on the map, and she was like, "Yeah... I did!" like she was surprised that he remembers what she says. It's because, of course, he savors each word that comes from her lips and stores it up in his heart because he's so in love and OHMYGOSHIHAVETOMOVEON.
Voldemort creeped me out during the final battle. It kept switching back to him, and as the battle progressed, you could sense him getting more and more anxious as well as angry. I love it when he just randomly kills someone. So perfect. This movie really captures his psychotic-ness.
Another great Voldemort moment was when he's talking to Lucius and he asks, "How do you live with yourself?" and Lucius says, "I don't know." It's a very touching moment between two very evil people. Lucius is so torn between his loyalty to his family and his loyalty to the Dark Lord, and Voldemort knows this, and even HE is disgusted by Lucius's inability to choose a side and stick with it. But then Voldemort tells him to bring Severus, and I start crying so hard that I can't even watch.
The Trio's journey from the castle to the boathouse is almost surreal. They somehow get past all of these duels going on at once (I feel like in real life it would be likely that at least one of them would get hit with a spell) and they see dead?Lavender about to get eaten by Fenrir Greyback, and Hermione defends her, which I think was very honorable, because of course she despises Lavender. So yeah - there's like five whole minutes of them running through the battle, past spiders and trolls and various people. This bit is a bit fuzzy in my mind because I was so freakin' emotional. NO SNAPE DON'T NOOO!! (A note about the boathouse: I was okay with the change-of-scenery from where it took place in the book. The Shrieking Shack is ugly. Now my favorite character can die in a beautiful place.)
I'm too tired to fully express my feelings about Snape's death scene. I'm afraid it'll have to wait until Part Four of my review, coming next week! I guess I won't be getting through the whole movie tonight... but I'll try to finish it next time!
--
In other news, marching band has started, and House and I are in the same squad again yayy!! Except this time, I am the squad leader, so I get to boss her around. It's loads of fun. Also, Momo's sister is a field commander, which is quite exciting.
School starts in less than a week. It's hard to soak in when all that's going through your mind is "SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER" (part of our opener this year). Sigh. I really, really hope that I have classes with the other Curly Fries. If I don't, I will be very sad indeed.
It's crazy that we're sophomores now. It's even crazier that the sophomores are now juniors, and the juniors are now seniors, and the seniors are going off to college. EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP GETTING OLDER, I CAN'T HANDLE IT. Like xiy, who just had a birthday. IT'S NOT OKAY. (Just kidding. I love birthdays! Did you see the banner I put up? Major artistic talent right thur.)
That's all, folks.
Love,
Virgil

I Always Forget to Add a Title
Hiiiiiiiii.
I'm really bored. House, Momo, Lynda, and I are going to help out at our old elementary school's annual end-of-school carnival thing tonight, which should be really fun and stuff, but right now I'm bored. English/French finals were okay (I kind of messed up on the English because I am dumb and didn't read teh directionz, but it doesn't really matter, since I've an A in that class anyway). I never was very worried about them.
It's the weekend, woot. Hooray for summer and warmth and sun and nice breezes and watermelon (lots and lots and lots of watermelon) and ice cream and flowers and birds and blue skies and white clouds and green grass and no more school! Hooray for HPDH Part Two! Hooray for Virgil's birthday and my birthday! Happy summer; I hope yours is beautiful. ♥
So I found this song called Forevermore, and it's quite pretty and cutesy and even a little sad. And listening to that song sort of inspired me to draw, and so I did.
(It took a while, but I procrastinated on studying for finals in order to draw it, so it didn't really take that long.)
Um, yeah. I hope you like.
<3,

Giant Squid of Angerness
I. F*CKING. HATE. OUR.* SCIENCE TEACHER.
I just drew above picture to calmly express my deep feelings of rage towards her.
Today, we took our science final.
It started out okay.
I arrived at multiple choice question 136 and almost died.
You see, all the other science classes are one chapter ahead of ours. Our teacher told us quite plainly that the chapter that we haven't done wouldn't be on our final.
Guess what questions 136-145 were about?
I politely raised my hand to ask her if, maybe, she would just take those off the final. She came over and I said, "You told us that these weren't going to be on the final."
She picked up the final, probably for the first time, and said, "I told you yesterday to learn this."
I shook my head, "No, you didn't," I responded coolly, "You never told us that."
"Yes, I did!"
"You really didn't, though."
"I did. You should know this." She moved on to the next person with his hand raised.
"Ms. Tin Rabbit," he asked calmly, pointing to questions 136-141, "We never learned this."
"I TOLD YOU ALL TO LEARN ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!"
Everyone else: *Shaking heads* No, you didn't. Maybe the other class. Not this one.
She storms off to Google it.
A few minutes later she tells us that we should just know the answers. She tells us one of the answers and then leaves.
RRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I despise her.
Those weren't the only questions we never learned, though. I hope I get my B so I can keep my A in the class. :/
Anyway.
On a happier note: I got my temporary license!!!!!!!! I got to drive places yesterday and Tuesday, which was fun.Can any of you drive with a licensed guardian over the age of 21? Noooo. Well, unless you can...
I'll be able to get my license before any of the other 6LCF can even get their temps (except Carrie, I guess). LOL. :D

Also, I have this amazing new song stuck in my head from Kevjumba/Nigahiga/Chestersee. Go listen to it now. So good.
I am going to go study for tomorrow's finals. Whhhhhheeeeee.

One Day More!
One day more! Another day, another destiny. This never-ending road to Calvary;
These men who seem to know my crime,Will surely come a second time.
One day more!
~Jean Valjean, "Les Miserables" (the musical)
One day more!
~Jean Valjean, "Les Miserables" (the musical)
This quote is quite fitting for today's post, because:
1. The Six Little Curly Fries have a grand total of 1 more day of school (excluding finals) and
2. I have a recent obsession with Les Miserables.
But I'm getting ahead of myself - theme song time!!!
La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves the summer, and Les Mis too! That's Virgil's woooooorrrrrrrllllldddd!!!!
So yeah, ONE DAY MORE!! I'm not one of those people who really despises school, but it's time for it to end, and for summer vacation frivolity to begin! It's too hot to be in school now. We should have ended like a week ago, but I'll survive.
The Memorial Day parade was yesterday, and the 4BandCF were all bustin' our butts out there in the sun. God, it was like ninety degrees. I died. >.< The clarinets were always on the wrong foot.... MOMO!!!
Lol jk. I didn't see if Momo was on the right (that would be LEFT!) foot.
I finished reading Les Miserables yesterday, and IT WAS LIFE-ALTERING. Like seriously, this is the best book I've ever read since Looking for Alaska (that excludes all the Harry Potter rereads, mind you). I saw the musical a couple months ago, and I thought it was amazing, but the book has so much more of an intricate plot that isn't even touched on in the show! Marius especially has a lot more depth & backstory than what is conveyed in the musical. Marius & Cosette 4 ever - officially my new favorite pairing of all time!
Also, there was all that forgiveness/redemption/Jesus-y message, but I won't talk about it.
Silver candlesticks! Best symbolism ever? Yessssssssssss. <3 the bishop
Speaking of books, THE WARLOCK CAME OUT LAST WEEK!!! I still haven't read it, though - I'd like to finish rereading the series before I read the next installment, because I want to completely understand what is going on. Needless to say, I am SO PUMPED to read Scott's new book. Freaking DANU TALIS. The end of The Necromancer was such a killer. The two that are one, the one that is all. And there's only going to be one more book after this one, and then the series will be over! :( I'll need to find another fantasy series to cling to... *sigh* (little voice: maybe Virgil will stop reading YA fantasy novels? Virgil: NEVERR!!!)
Speaking of books, I recently reached like 16k on my current writing project. That might not sound like a lot to NaNoWriMo-ing people, but I value this 16k over both 50k novels of November '09 and '10 combined, because they are (in my humble opinion) good quality words. I kind of hope that I finish it before June 30th because that's the deadline for my Createspace coupon (from Nano '10 winner goodies) but I might not be done by then, so we'll see.
That's about it. XD lots of happiness in Virgil's life right now! Yippee!!
Best wishes :)

It's so weird to tag this post as 'Friday.' :|
This post is, strangely, being written at a later date than most of my Tuesday posts were, despite the fact that I obviously have more time to write and therefore should be churning out these things more quickly. However, today, I do actually have a good excuse--I was finishing the colouring on my mommy dearest's Mother's Day present.
Would you like to see?
Of course you do.
(I should warn you now that it's not actually very mother-y themed, but I tried and failed badly to draw my mother realistically, so I drew something that I hope she'll appreciate. Even though it has nothing to do with motherhood. ^^;)
Huh. It seems that Blogspot has changed some of its controls. The tag box is now on the left instead of the right and then there's the location thing that Momo said located us somewhere in Kansas. Strange.
Have you guys had a nice Friday? This week was (lame) senior prank week at our school, but for all intents and purposes it was nearly a normal week. (It rained today, somewhat ruining the seniors' camp-out-on-the-lawn-day. I was not sympathetic.)
Aaaand. Uh. Oh yeah--House and I are definitely going on to 9HD Part the Second, which means we have to get an actual trifold, resize all the pictures, cut down on the neon construction paper, and actually make the thing look presentable. The amount of work involved doesn't bear thinking about. ;A;
So, yeah. Tell me what you think of that drawing and stuff. I hope your week wasn't too awful.
Cheers,
xiy

WARNING: THIS POST IS HORIBELL
Having to write on a Thursday is going to take lots of getting used to. Not only will I not be the first person in any list referring to 6LCF, but when we do theme weeks, all the good ideas will be taken. :(
Oh well. LUCKILY tomorrow is Friday. Then comes Saturday. Next is Sunday. Wait, I'm not Rebecca Black.
HAPPY HANKO DE MAYO!!! Woot. Today is celebrity Nerdfighter Hank Green's 31st birthday. Now isn't that exciting.
BLAH BLAH BLAH I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY.
Less than 20 days of school...
25 days until I can get my temporary driver's license.
One day until my big sissy is at the top of the high school food chain.
*sigh* I have to go write an English essay.
This was the #2 worst post ever.
I like tacos.
-Momo
P.S. Today in science we got to burn things but our teacher is so horribly horrible that she made me nervous.
P.P.S. Here is the link to my anniversary video. I never actually posted it on here.
P.P.P.S. I just found this little button at the bottom of this posty thing and I clicked on it. I zoomed in and clicked on the lovely state in which we lived. Then this little taggy thing flew down and landed somewhere in southeast Kansas. We do not live in southeast Kansas. Google Maps is dumb. kbai

haha I forgot a title
Hello there. Today has been rather a dreary day here in 6LCF-land. It's been warmer this week than it has been for a while, but (with the exception of last Sunday, which was wonderful, weather-wise) it's still been rainy or overcast nearly every single day in April so far. Ugh.
Those May flowers had better be worth all this effort.
Anyway.
(Actually, it's sunset right now and the trees look very pretty. Everything looks better with a sunset in the background.)
So inphysics chemistry class, my teacher makes everybody keep a graph-paper composition book that is checked every so often for credit. The comp book is pretty much vital to your existence in that class, and if you lose it, she isn't at all sympathetic. So I have this really cheap thin one that managed pretty well last semester (the cover got kind of bent and I had to tape it up at bit, but otherwise it wasn't so bad); however, its counterpart for this semester (we need a new one for the new semester, which is stupid, because I didn't even use half of my old one's pages) isn't doing well at all. At least ten pages have fallen out completely (I had to first glue and then, when that failed, tape them in); the binding's really messed up; the cover's bent; my baby sister drew all over some of the pages.
Which means I get to play fix-the-comp-book on a weekly basis, until the thing is starting to look badly patched-up and not very nice at all. Pfft.
Aaaand. . . I really don't have much more to say today.
Goodbye?
xiy

Rrrgh.
I had a bad day today.
First, I overslept this morning and missed Greek. I was sad. Not really.
Then I had a Latin test that I was definitely not prepared for and I had to do it without the shining face of our regular Latin teacher.
In gym I was forced to participate. Ew.
In science I got a C on a test that we took because of our stupid dumb teacher not being able to teach.
Lynda colored ALL OVER my English stuff. (Well, I guess that's kind of forgivable since I was coloring on her face and arm. Also, it was kind of funny...)
Then the worst happened. In math class, we had a test. Normally, when it's a test day, we walk into class and get our tests immediately. Today, though, our teacher took her own good time (10 minutes!!!!) until she handed them out. In the middle of the test there was some legit screaming outside so we stopped to see what it was. So I didn't finish, like, 3 or 4 problems. Each problem is about 5 points. That means, basically, that I'll fail the test. Yay.
Also, my neighbors are already on spring break and are in the Bahamas. I WANNA BE IN THE BAHAMAS TOO!!!!!!!! :(
There has been some good stuff today:
In band we got to listen to this cool brass quintet.
I had an AMAZING youth retreat over the weekend.
When I die, I'm going to heaven to chill with Jesus.
Aaand I started writing on my own blog again.
So I guess, when I look on the bright side of things, life isn't all that bad. I mean, I could be homeless because a tsunami destroyed my country or in the middle of a dangerous rebellion against an insane dictator. I guess life could be worse, which always makes me feel better. Venting helps, too.
Have a nice Monday everybody!!!!
Go read my other blog post!!!-Momo!

kdjfhskdjff i can't think of a witty title
Today I had to run a mile around slushy track without a coat in overcast, windy, forty-degree-though-it-felt-much-colder I-swear-it's-raining-look-I-just-felt-a-raindrop weather. It wasn't fun. At all. I still don't think my arms have completely thawed out yet.
(And then, afterwards, I was treated to a game of dodgeball in which I spent most of the time standing unobtrusively in the corner and getting hit by red foam balls thrown at very high speeds. I fail to see why dodgeball is considered a rewarding and amusing sport.)
On the bright side, I didn't have to wake up until nine in the morning today and spent much of my morning reading fanfiction. And then I studied a bit of French (ew, French) and then printed out my English essay (completely terrible) and then went back to reading. It was very enjoyable.
In a completely unprecedented and magnanimous gesture, our (well, "our" sans House, because House just isn't cool enough to be in the same class as us) English teacher gave out numerous tootsie rolls to help in our Great Expectations-reading endeavours.
(I still think that Pip is a naive idiot and how in the world does he get into debt without even doing much? I mean, honestly. Ugh.)
Anyway.
Tomorrow I'm going to have to brave the terrors of gym class again, but hopefully it'll be raining and therefore the running will be confined to a warmer and more indoor setting. Preferably one without snow and a wind chill. Maybe.
(I just realised that I don't have to get up early for Greek tomorrow. That thought is too incredibly beautiful for words.)
(I don't know why I'm inserting all these parenthetical anecdotes, actually. Hm.)
(Ah, well.)
(Goodbyeeeee.)

HOUSE DIDN'T POST YESTERDAY
She deserves to be punished.
How about actually finishing that mini-Nanowrimo we assigned her a while back?
I'm chewing on ice right now. It's yummy.
Today we are going to talk about silly high school. Let's go through Virgil's schedule... IN PICTURES!!!

oops i forgot a title
Hi.
Sorry about the lateness of this post; however, in my defense, I was using my time to a) procrastinate on French, b) procrastinate onphysics chemistry, and c) draw you guys something pretty.
See?
The highlights:
Starting yesterday, I actually have to, like, exercise in gym class again. CPR class was boring and sort of odd, but at least I didn't have to a) spend undue amounts of time in a locker room that consistently smells of feet, b) repeatedly take "one-minute jogs," every single one being called "the last one, really," c) make a fool of myself by doing ridiculous stretches, d) injure my tailbone while doing sit-ups, or e) did I mention the bit about me looking stupid?
And at least in CPR I could finish (i.e., completely screw up beyond all recognition because I cannot do mental addition and I'm terrible at surface area/volume problems) my horrible math homework.
Right, so that was my smallish rant. I do hope you enjoyed it. That, and the picture.

:D [Click the picture to see it in all its 4000x3000-pixel glory.] |
- House is trying to drag a recalcitrant Kitty (the dinosaur, for those unenlightened ones) and is scowling at the world.
- Momo is standing on her head on Kitty's head and laughing at us non-daredevil types.
- Carrie is sitting on Kitty's back, directing House, and otherwise generally having a grand old time.
- Lynda is
sea-car-dinosaur-sick. Poor Lynda. - Virgil is slacking off on her duties (i.e., helping House move Kitty) and has chosen to follow the example of everybody's favorite lazy slave and is having a Latin-Convention-hangover-induced nap.
- xiy (i.e., me) is painting in the sun (having just finished the clouds, etc). She is floating unaided, because she is dictator-artist and dictator-artists can do whatever they want in their own pictures.
- Yes, we appear to be floating in sky. Deal with it (please).
- The sign has a lopsided heart on it because I find it incredibly difficult to hand-draw nice hearts in Gimp. Also, it's to signify our undying friendship, etc., etc.
- And do finally officially clear this up: Kitty has spines on her back because, before, when I only drew her head and about half her body, she looked something like a rather large purple snake-camel thing. And she's a dinosaur. So I thought that spines would make her look slightly more dinosaur-like.
- No Archie or Hector this time; I was too lazy to put them in.

"I want something to get high off of," said Virgil.
The three fencing Curly Fries were walking down the hallway to our school's ridiculously out-of-the-way band room today, when Virgil dreamily delivered the above quote. It made my day.
(('hem. [hem, hem, says Umbridge-voice] I should probably put a little disclaimer here that goes, THE 6LCF ARE IN NO WAY ENDORSING DRUGS. NOT ON THIS BLOG AND HOPEFULLY NOT ANYWHERE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. <3))
I have such an awful, messy week. There's two rather urgent-ish projects that require my attention (darn you, French andphysics chemistry!), an outline for a history paper due next Monday, incredibly difficult Science Olympiad regionals (while Momo, House, and Virgil will be happily sequestered away at Latin Convention), and a scholarship-audition-luncheon thing for piano this Sunday. Not to mention I've got to actually do the audition (i.e., play two pieces in front of three or four very serious piano teachers to see if my parents can pay less money for my piano lessons than usual this year) on Monday. Gaaah. >.<
After three-ish days of pretty pretty springlike weather, it turned cold again. Now the trees are covered in ice, which is, admittedly, very pretty (especially when the sun is coming up or going down). However, it is also cold again, and ewwwww I don't like the cold.
Today, both Momo and I had to fight against the scariest of the scary fencing eleven-year-olds. He is, as his name suggests, very scary. I was extremely lucky and managed to lose 5-1.
This is the last Tuesday of February. Next week, it shall be March. Yay!
So, um, yeah.

Why?
My post is going to be similar to Momo's post. Except that the format will be in "WHY"'s, and lots of ranting.
****
SIDENOTE: I realized after writing this post that it's split into two parts. One for complaints, and one for HAPPY things. The complaints are in "WHY" format, and the happy things are strung in one huge run-on sentence that my English teacher and xiy and House would be appalled at...if it wasn't so dang happy...If you would like to skip my very interesting and fun(ny) ranting, please scroll down...you should be able to see the rather large words :) Have fun reading!

WHY do teacher's think that they should give you tons of homework when it's THURSDAY? Is it 'cause they believe that it's the day before the day the shouldn't give homework (Friday), so "let's cram in as much stuff as we can before the day!"????????????
WHY is it necessary to gamble all of your points in Final Jeopardy?
WHY did my teammates find it necessary?
WHY did we fricking lose all the points, and then the "Blue Ninjas" won because they were smart enough to leave 100 points?
WHY did I not know the 5 countries/regions that were affected by the war?
WHY is Germany not part of the said "5 countries/regions that were affected by..." World War 1?
WHY is France not part of that^?
WHY is it that whenever I look at something for a while, my glasses start sliding down the non-existent bridge of my nose?
WHY do I have not have a bridge for my nose?
WHY is it that my brother feels like he has to cry EVERY FRICKING DAY for at least 10 minutes?
WHY is it that my sister feels the need to provoke my brother into crying?
WHY does my house feel freezing when I'm at home after school, and then when my parents come home, it warms up again?
WHY do I have to wake up so early tomorrow to go to Greek?
WHY do I keep bumping my head into things?
WHY does my elbow keep jamming into things?
WHY do I have chronic pain in my neck? ACTUAL pain. Like, I have a crik in it the WHOLE DAY.
WHY do I think that I just spelled "crik" wrong, and Firefox did not give it a red squiggly?
WHY did I forget what "chronic" meant?
WHY do I procrastinate to do my homework?
WHY do I have to have a vocab quiz in Greek tomorrow?
WHY do I have the world's most STUPID Physics teacher?
WHY does she dress like a 5 year-old? WHY is she so fricking stupid? WHY does she not know what she's teaching? WHY...etc.
WHY do I have an outline due on Monday that I haven't started yet? (20 or 30 PAGES!!!)
WHY is Momo such a cruel person? She tortured me! She told me the outline ^ was due on FRIDAY!!!
WHY...there's more, but I think this is long enough...

Save a tree, do less homework!
Hello.
Yup, I think the title just says it all! High school (I think we've established this fact) teachers just give way too much work. >.< It's stressful. Not hard, particularly, just incredibly stressful. Ya know, some of us actually have lives... *cough, cough* Everyone except me. ^_^ Lol. Jk. Or am I?
Ugh, I actually had stuff to talk about today! Why am I forgetting it? Hmmm... well, I have some good news. ^_^ but I don't think I should post it. Yet. Muahahahaha... ♥
Oh! Btw, apparently the 6LCFs have established some sort of military/ government branch like thing... Why? Make cookies, not war. :) Give hugs, not... uh, yeah. I personally think that we should make some sort of peace treaty for whatever conflict is occurring. And yes, I am being the peace maker in this situation.
*Momentary pause to check the ever so addictive facebook*
Okay, now where were we?
You know, can I just rant about homework some more? Because I really had a lot tonight. >.< And then I have stuff that's not due for a couple days that I have to do tonight since I have other stuff I have to do. Which does not make me very happy...
Apparently our 6th month-iversary is on the 29th. That's exciting, is it not? I think we should have a party. With a movie. My house, perhaps? We never celebrate at my house.* ^_^
* these last 4-ish sentences were directed to the 6LCFs only. Thank you.
Ummmm... I think that's about it. Yup. Okey dokey. Toodles!
DFTBA! ♥
Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie
