winter break, yay?

So judging by previous posts, winter break hasn't been going as well as hoped for some of us, which is quite sad. D: After all, it's hardly fair that the longest break we're going to have until summer vacation is being ruined by a number of things, of which NHD is only a factor. Silly school.

As for me, winter break has been okay, though not as terribly restful as I'd expected. NHD's been the main factor, and I'm quite glad that House and I have been working well together and that we haven't reached the levels of drama that are afflicting Momo and Virgil. Hang in there, guys!

Apart from NHD, though, I haven't really been getting much stuff done, which is probably not good. The only real piece of homework I finished was the Greek translation, and that was, like, on the first day. Mostly I've been distracted by Internet drama and such, which is kind of funny to read but wastes a lot of time. Um.

I volunteered a few weeks ago on the nanowrimo forums to draw character art for people, and I am so behind on that it's not even funny. I thought I'd be able to get stuff done but I really haven't, so now there's stuff I should've finished a week ago that I've barely started and I feel bad.

So I'm working on three sketches at once right now, yay.
meh. I re-did the top-right one since making the screenshot and it still doesn't look quite right
In other news, it's nearly Christmas, which is good. I've been procrastinating on NHD, which is not good. I've been procrastinating on a lot of things, which I think I've mentioned, which is also not not not good.

So, yeah. Winter break's been okay. I'm really annoyed that it hasn't snowed properly yet here in Curlyfryland.

Iced Brownies, Continental Brownies, Turtle Brownies, Brownies in a Jar, Scrumptious Frosted Fudgy Brownies, Scrumptious Frosted Fudgy Brownies, and... WHOA THERE LADY!

HELLO!

I'm currently looking up different types of brownie recipes so that I may make DESSERT for our FABULOUS up-coming Asians-Only HOLIDAY PARTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hehehehe...*cough* erm, I may be running on an over-excited WINTER BREAK adrenaline rush! WOOHOO!

Anyways, I had no idea there were so many different types of BROWNIES! I LOVE BROWNIES. Just in case you didn't know. I LOVE BROWNIES! Although, I almost never eat them because of this little (er, BIG) pudgy area in the tummy area. No matter how much I work out during crew, I somehow manage to retain this ridiculous amount of blubber on my stomach. In fact, every other week or so, I have this conversation with my stomach/non-existent abs:

Lynda: HELLO? ABS? YOU THERE?
imaginary Abs: wha? wassup?
Lynda: WHY ARE YOU STILL IN HIBERNATION?!
imaginary Abs: pshaw, I was in hibernation, 'til you woke me up, gurl!
Lynda: Huh? I STILL DON'T SEE YOU!
imaginary Abs: probs cuz you ain't workin' out 'nuff, gurl!
Lynda: WHAT? WHY YOU LITTLE--
imaginary Abs: chill, gurl, imma come outta hibernation in *yawn* a coupla years, doncha worry yo purty lil head 'bout it...
Lynda: *giggle* hehe, you think I'm pretty? Why thank--
imaginary Abs: *snore*
Lynda: ...grrrrr...couple of years..>.<

And that is how my conversations go. Is it weird that my Abs are male? hmm, idk, maybe guys' abs are females...lol

So, I was screening the music in this new playlist I made for an erg mix (cd of music to be played while we work out during crew practice), and I realized that lots of my songs are NOT G-Rated as I had originally thought. In fact, some (lots) of my music has lyrics that could make my crew coaches blush :)

Anyhoo...I was watching a music video of this one song (Tonight by Enrique Iglesias <--who is a hottie btw!), and it was very GRAPHIC! HAHAHAHA! So I was typing the title to the post, when I got to this one part, where this one lady like, POUNCES! on the poor (hawt) guy! HA! LIKE A PUMA! POUNCE LIKE A PUMA! And I was like, "WHOA THERE, LADY! TAKE IT EASY!" And then there was more panting and the likes, and I was like, "SHIELD YOUR EYES, CHILDREN! SHIELD THEM! OR YOU WILL BE scarred!!!!"...lol

lol, I was watching another music video, lol, and it was KE$HA's Blow...and it was...hum, interesting [<--my word of the...month? idk...ask xiy about my word of the moment/month/year...I went through this phase in which I said everything was "weird"...and now apparently little voice #24 (aka Manners) and voice #34 (Vocabulary) have teamed up to find a word that's not as mean, and more polite, but voice #17 (Sarcasm) and #25 (Snark) have teamed up to influence 24 and 34 to find a word that I can inflect my tone in such a way that makes it sound...judgemental :D HURRAH FOR VOICES AND COOPERATION!!!] There were  unicorns in suits, and they were weird. Then Ke$ha goes and does these...innuendo things, and suddenly, there's shooting, and the unicorns shoot out rainbow lights from their bullet wounds??? INTERESTING!

So, thassall!

Luv,
Lynda

P.S. I just read over what I wrote, and I realize it looks like I'm on a sugar high or something...hum...I guess I sort of am. WINTER BREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!!! lol...Lynda be crazy today ;)

Fun. fun fun fun fun fun fun...

Well, hey there!

I have an announcement...I'm bald!
JK. ;D

but I suppose it's close enough to bald as compared to how much hair I had before. :P (y'all know)

Ahhhh! There's a doggie in my house. :3 I love dogs. They're so cute. :)

Ummm... Most of the Curly Fries went shopping and to a play today. I was quite jealous. But 'tis okay. :D I still had fun. My grandparents are over right now, anyway. And I don't see them much.

Anywhoo, it's the first day of winter break and so far it has been lovely. :D I am actually busy every single day for the next four! :O I have my family holiday party tomorrow, then I have to work on a project/ present with a friend, then on Tuesday I'm hanging out with Eggr. :) I'm very excited. Well, technically four counting today.

Ahhh, I'm so relieved that school is over. :) Now I just get to count down the days until mid-terms. Hecks yeah! (not really)

Ummm... my life is really boring so I don't have much more to say.

Yeah, so. BAI!
DFTBA! ♥

smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

**Sorry for the awful grammar. My fingers have just been spazzing out today.

Lynda and I are Mature, We Swear

So today is the last day of school in 2011, woot woot! I look forward for two weeks of lazing around (except not really, because of N-H-stupid-D) and eating too much food and getting into the holiday spirit! We Curly Fries did a Secret Santa, and my present was a necklace and a mysterious part II that should be coming in the mail, if all goes well. It sounds very mysterious and exciting. :D

Now just for two weeks of frantically trying to put together an NHD exhibit board. . .

Anyway, on a separate note, Lynda came over this afternoon and we watched Merlin together; it's really quite a cliche and overdramatic show at times, but it's enjoyable and fun to watch and the actors are all adorable. We were watching one of the creepier episodes (the one with a vengeful well-spirit who possesses a knight) and basically the whole thing went something like this:

(The 'oh Gwaine' mostly comes from Lynda, who is in love with him.)
Basically, just read left-to-right and then repeat for as long as necessary, aka the whole episode. And yes, we were actually frightened by shoddy green-lit special effects and a bit of ominous music. Yes, we are mature, we swear. And yes, all of the actors on Merlin are lovely to look at.

And, um, yeah. Knitting myself a scarf; that's going well.

That's it for today.

2011... that sounds awk

It's the last day of 2010. Holla, yo.

Yes, my fellow Curly Fries. I am pleased to tell you that we have, in fact, survived another year. Kissed our old school goodbye for a terrifyingly new one chock-full of intimidating/inspiring/OHMYGOSH upperclassmen and teachers. Our ears were massacred by the magical vuvuzelas. The mythbusters kept on busting, feeding us information science majors/minors never seem to be able to. T-Swift's new album came out (ba da ba ba baaa, I'm lovin' it). And holy snood what the heck Sarah Palin's got her own TV show. Whatever.

Well, I spent a large amount of my last day of 2010 in the fetal position with a stupidstupidstupid body that gave me a tummy ache equivalent to the feeling of chugging a glass of hydrogen peroxide on a dare. (Ain't pretty >.<) But I hope you all celebrated accordingly :)

So... yeah. Nihao, 2011. Wassup.

And you all ready to get back to school and still be writing the wrong year in the little space where it says 'date: __/__/__'? I totally am.

Even though I've got to get back to the festivities (i.e. a family friend's legendary snickerdoodles.... ahhhhhh <3), I've got two questions to quickly ask you girls:
1) Any goals/plans/resolutions/oaths to be sworn/promises for the new year?
2) How the frick are y'all gonna pronounce it, 'twenty-eleven' or 'two thousand and eleven?' Because I personally think both sound tremendously awk.

With all due respect,
House.

The Post of "So" (In which I type a lot of so's)

So...it's 2:10pm, and a Thursday-which is why I'm posting. So, erm. I have nothing to say, really...I dunno...what should I write about? So...ah...fanfiction? Sure. So, erm, I've been reading a ton of fanfiction lately...and now I'm obsessed with Harry Potter fanfiction about Sirius&OC...they're quite fun to read. I like the Marauders era...so funny and carefree...ehm. So my mom's watching something...er...it's about these people, in the country...with pigs...funny. Sooooo...Uhm, I have nothing to say. I don't particularly want to go to school. It's fun being able to sleep in and just lounge around all day. Sssso, ummm...I had crew today. It was tiring. I don't like qberts...they're boring. I don't like ab workouts in general. They make me feel so inadequate. Sooooo...that's pretty much all. Have a great rest of the day!
Luv, Lynda
P.S. I forgot to mention homework...yeah. I finished my science homework. Yay. Uhhhh...bye now.

It's the Last Tuesday of 2010

^Isn't that exciting?

It's the last week of winter break, and I really haven't started my homework yet. I made a brave attempt on the numerous extremely thick geometry packets the teacher forced upon us before the break, and I managed to get two pages into one of them before I gave up and went back on the Internet.
See, House, I'm not really a very good student after all. :P

Three more days until it's 2011! Yaaaaaay.

And because I have nothing constructive to say and I don't want this post to be a complete failure, I shall end this with a doodle I drew in Gimp yesterday.

sleep and cookies. merry xmas eve.

Yup, that’s pretty much what my break’s been so far. I’ve slept in past noon most days, and I haven’t done that much homework (yet). Everything productive happens later at night… readingreadingreading, finding new music, etc. {Slept in especially late today because xiy is a good student (darn those good students) and made me do actual work yesterday. So now my brain is all like eghh.}
We decorated the house all Christmasy. It’s quite nice. Got a tree and ornaments and lights and all. Mum put up a million candles (including two Hanukkah ones on the tree ‘cause they’re the only kind that fit the holders), and I hung the stockings. We’re having lotsa people over tonight for a seven fish dinner thing that Dad does. (Me being vegetarian, I don’t much enjoy it… the pizza and cookies and water’s usually what I go for.)
So yeah.
Hope you’re all having a good holiday. I've got to fly now to go prepare the house for people.
Tomorrow’s Christmas! Happy holidays and stuff.
With all due respect,
House

We're still little kids at heart.

Today, the 6LCF assembled and my house and, for the first time since last year, ate curly fries together. It was wonderful. Then we built a fort... and then we destroyed it. Then Lynda and xiy had to leave, so the rest of us just sat around and watched The Notebook. Then my big sister came home from college.

I think that fort-building is an essential part of staying youthful. When I'm old, I'll make sure to build a fort at least once a year or so, and that way I can live forever!!

So, yeah. Winter break is finally here! It hasn't really sunken in yet, but then again, this would be the weekend anyways, so maybe it'll really feel like winter break once Monday comes around.

Speaking of Monday, Momo leaves for Germany tomorrow! Have fun, dear!!

I'm not going anywhere this year for winter break, which is nice. I can just relax and study for finals... or maybe just relax.

Christmas is in a week!! I would like to request exemption from posting that day, because I'll be spending time with my family. There's a chance I'll have time to post in the morning if I wake up before everyone else, but I'll probably sleep in.

Peace,
Virgil

magic rainbow happy sunshine

Ahhhhh.
We're finally on winter break! Ahhhhh.

Okay, it's not quite as magical as it was back, like, last year, but the two weeks we get with no school is definitely something that makes me very, very happy.  Sure, finals are around the corner.  And sure, I've got a ton of reading and stuff over these two weeks.  But whatever.  Personally, I'm just looking at that no school thing.

My last day before break was pretty frikkin sweet.  Our first concert was last  night, so the bands all got a chillax-with-omg-are-those-DOUGHNUTS?! day.  And one of our high school's graduates came back for a visit in Latin.  And I actually understood everything our teacher was screaming in Physics.  And Quidditch'll be starting up once we're back and done with exams!  Quite exciting, yes.*

But enough with the happy stuff, I guess.  Eventually, I'll have to do the homework they gave us for break, and finals are gonna be absolutely mental.  Whatever.  Everything's chill for now.

Anyway, I'm about ready to go and find a mug of tea and sleep for the next few hundred hours.

Happy winter break, y'all <3

With all due respect,
House

P.S. Look out for a 6LCF winter-themed surprise in the near future.

*But then our History teacher had us watch a European film with examples of 'propaganda' [= massacre and blood >.<] in it... eeeh.
