Yeah, so I have no idea what the title really means...
We're in AP Bio right now, and we're not doing anything at the moment 'cause we're in the computer lab waiting for instructions to do a lab.
(We, being House and me)
Damn, I haven't posted in ages.
Um, so, our huge APUSH exam is coming up this Friday ;A; and AP Biology exam is next Tuesday X_x
And um, yeah. So we have to do the lab now, bye.
Luv,
Lynda
P.S. HOLY FUCK I AM PANICKING ABOUT MY BIO GRADE HOLY FUCK IT IS NOT GOOD RIGHT NOW.

A Rare Rant From Momo
So...winter break. It's been kinda sucky so far. I'm pretty sure Virgil wins the worst winter break award--I don't have driver's ed, I don't live with my NHD partner, and my parents and sister are very supportive of my ranting.
I have to confess...
I've cried, like, 6 1/2 times over break already because of stupid NHD. But mainly NHD partner.
I've also begun sleep-walking again, which is never a good sign. The other night I fell asleep on the couch and fell on the floor. My sister was taking pictures and I started sleep-yelling at her. Then I started crying in my sleep (this is where the 1/2 times comes from) and I sleep-stomped out of the room and promptly fell to the floor in a big heap. I got back up and sleep-stomped up to bed whilst sleep-sobbing.
My mom and sister came into my room to see if I was OK and apparently I was sitting in my bed (still sleep-sobbing) crying that I'd ruined Christmas.
I don't remember any of this (which is how I know I was sleeping the whole time).
It's not good when I sleep walk.
It only happens when I'm super stressed.
The other times I've cried are really out of frustration at NHD partner. We've been arguing about really dumb things about the design of the board we're making and even my mom has looked at the board and told us what she thinks is best (to which he simply starts arguing more).
I've stomped out on him twice out of frustration.
This is going to sound awful--but I'm really glad he's going out of town tomorrow. I'm basically going to commandeer the project and do everything my way.
I'm glad I have my mom, though. She says what she is thinking and has let us use her fancy work printer. She is also very supportive of my frustrated sobs.
I wish I'd worked with a girl. :( Boys are really bad at NHD exhibit boards.
THAT'S ENOUGH ABOUT STUPID NHD, MOMO.
i'm sorry.
It's okay. Sometimes you need to vent.
Yup.
*Internal conversation ends now*.
I hope you've all at least had mediocre winter breaks and I hope yours gets better, Virgil.
You guys are so nice to have tolerated that. :)
-Momo
By the way, there are a lot of secret messages because my mom (for some reason) thinks that NHD partner might see this. It's been censored. Kay?

Melodine's Elves pt. 2
So everyone was commenting about how pretty and white and shiny blogspot is and now I understand why! Wow. It's so different!!! And shiny. Weeeee!! Anyway, as promised, here is the rest of Melodine's Elves with commentary this time:
Now Melodine new [ooh that's sad] that these tiny houses were the homes of elves [obviously] so she just stood there [logically]. She did not leave for a few moments, she was about to leave but for some reason she just couldn't she wasn't stuck [really?!] she just could not let herself leave [oooh].
Then it came to her [?], "I must build some more houses for them" [yes, I'm sure the elves would love if a giant came and started using up their precious farmland to build mediocre housing without asking]she said to herself.
Melodine started working immetietly [<--ha].
Soon she was singing [omg].Melodine had a very beautiful [b-e-a-uuu-tiful]. Suddenly, she heard someone but it seemed like it was under her [omg she squished one!!] so she looked down and there was the smallest person, it was an elf!
Melodine was frightened but then she finally said to the little elf, "Who are you I'm Melodine" [a bit abrupt, don't you think?].
The little elf said "I'm the mayer [eeewww] of the town my name is Tisbe" [I wonder if Lynda helped choose this name...]. Melodine said "Nice to meet you Tisbe". Tisbe looked kind of frightened but he smiled and said, "I heard you singing and our village loves your company"! [...]
Melodine had no idea what to say or do. Then the little man went inside a tiny cottage with smoke comeing [I didn't know it was 'coming' until, like, 6th grade] out.
That is all I'll be writing for today.
Not only is there are HUGE bio-test tomorrow, but I also have to somehow study for APUSH and Latin all whilst accommodating the needs of a certain kitten that won't leave my side and is currently weaving in and out of my arms.
How I wish I was a cat. I wouldn't need to worry about the fact that my proteins are made of amino acids, that carbohydrates like glycogen and starch and cellulose are all made of glycidic linkages of polysaccharides. Agh.
Well, I better study some more.
GOODBYYYEEE!
I don't like this whole school thing very much.

nitwits, oddments, blubbers, and perhaps a tweak or two
SALVETE OMNES
So today I skipped fencing because I had a ton of work to do, and then when I got home, instead of starting to chip away at the mountain of homework, I: 1) ate too much food and 2) watched almost a whole hour of TV.
I have no self-control whatsoever. *sigh* I should have gone to fencing. AND I'm supposed to be on a diet, but this stupid online health course has me so paranoid about anorexia that now I'm eating way too much. It's supposed to discourage people from becoming obsessed with their weight, but instead IT'S DOING THE EXACT OPPOSITE. How counterproductive. I just had a bowl of Ben & Jerry's, and now I feel guilty. I BLAME BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY.
So, let's see. Things that are randomly coming to my mind...
1. Bio class today was so much fun. I'm giggling just thinking about it, even though I don't remember a whole lot, because I'm pretty sure Momo and I were both on laughing gas the whole time.
1. They both have alternating perspectives between different characters of contrasting status, who may or may not be on opposing sides of the same conflict and/or have stories that somewhere link together or will link together in the future.
2. They both have a lot of political themes involved.
3. They are both written by military-tactics-nerds.
4. They both involved the objection of women in the form of both a) rape and b) prostitution.
5. They both contain a lot of blood.
6. They are both really great books.
Difference between TFL and Got:
1. The Forgotten Legion is historical fiction, wheres A Game of Thrones is (as far as we know) completely fantasy.
2. A Game of Thrones took me over a month to read, whereas it's only been a couple days with TFL and I'm about halfway done.
It's interesting how these days we are (or, at least, I am) entertained by the violence, sex, and politics (I feel like these three things go together) of civilizations that either never existed or haven't existed in centuries. Is it some sort of fascination with pain? Does it make our own lives seem better in comparison when we're reading about the depressing lives of characters who face terrible situations, half of whom are enslaved? I don't know about you guys, but reading about Daenerys getting raped or Fabiola getting sold to a brothel really puts my own problems into perspective. OH MY GOODNESS I GOT A BAD GRADE ON THE APUSH ESSAY, WHAT ON EARTH AM I GOING TO DO WITH MY LIFE? Maybe that's why I love reading Harry Potter so much - his life sucks.
Don't judge me because I read just to make myself feel better about my own life, because that isn't even true. But I would be lying if I said that it wasn't one of the many reasons.
*sigh*
I salute you if you actually read my little train-of-consciousness post. It probably makes no sense.
DFTBA,
Virgil

2. This book that I'm reading, The Forgotten Legion, is really, REALLY good. It's quite a lot like A Game of Thrones - let's do a little comparison game, shall we? The eager English student inside of me is having a party. I really should be working on an English essay about mangoes right now, but whatever, this is more fun.

it's-a-tuesday-and-i-almost-forgot-to-post-again-BUT-I-DIDN'T-FORGET
Hello, folks!
School is going quite swimmingly so far. Hooray! The best parts of my day today were mostly sightings.
1. The Ms. PoPo sighting, which occurred before lunch. (In her natural habitat - the classroom!)
2. The House/EZ sighting, which occurred before ninth period. (awwww)
3. I sighted a Carrie after school today!! She was kind of far away and I'm not sure if she sighted me too, but the moment definitely brightened my day. Hooray!! Since I have no time, today's entertainment will be a dive into the past. I'm going to go through the oldest documents in my "Virgil" folder and show them to you here. (It's actually titled as my real name, since I've been using it since I was like eight. I wasn't called Virgil back then...)
Okay. Ready? *clicks "sort by date modified," scrolls all the way down*
Oldest Document: Titled "Feelings" - Date last modified: June 8, 2005 (I was eight years old.)
This document is comprised of not words, but pictures, more specifically the crappy shapes which can be found on Word 2003, filled with all those lovely "present fill effects." It's got a heart, two stars, a sun, and a moon.
Number 2: Titled "Rainbow" - Date last modified: June 9, 2005
This one is similar to "Feelings," above. My feelings are a rainbow. This must mean something.
Number 3: Titled "Beauty" - Date last modified: August 29, 2005 (I'm nine now!!!)
This one is basically the same as the other two. Again, mostly hearts, stars, and suns, filled with wonderful fill effects.
Number 4: Titled "[Virgil's] Favorites" - Date last modified: January 4, 2006
Quoth:
color-purple
place-Bahamas
food-strawberry
animal-dolphin
movie-Pirates of the Caribbean
holiday-Christmas
Those were the colors and everything. Don't I have such an artistic eye?
Number 5: Title: "stone soup almost final copy" - Date last modified: February 6, 2006
This is going to be the last one, since it's quite long. IT'S BASICALLY NOVEL LENGTH.
I haven't looked at this in years.... I submitted this to the kids' writing magazine, Stone Soup, and it got rejected because I suck at writing. Hehe.
The actual title is "A Crystal in the Darkness" - I hope you enjoy!!

Oh god I can't believe I'm putting this on the internet.
Here it goes....(Since it's absolutely NOVEL LENGTH, I put in a page break.)
(Just think about this for a moment. You're about to enter the mind of nine-year-old-Virgil. I haven't changed anything in the writing since 2006. O.o )
(Consider yourselves lucky)
(This'll be like a collectors' item someday)

Please Leave a Message After the Tone...
Dearest Reader,
You have reached the voice-mail of www.sixlittlecurlyfries.blogspot.com. We are currently unavailable at the moment due to the start of stupid, stupid high school (year II). We would be glad to hear from you in the comments section, but we are currently being smothered by piles upon piles of homework. "What?!" you may ask. You heard correctly. We've only had three days of school, yet somehow, beyond my understanding, our teachers have managed to load us up with hours of homework and studying. Anyways. We apologize for any inconvenience. We all know that you, reader, look forward to a 6LCF post every day (except Wednesday, of course) for all of your entertainment needs. Hopefully someone will find it in their busy schedules this week to write an actual post.
Until then, goodbye!
Again, we are all truly sorry for the lack of depthy posts. Hopefully you don't die of sadness without us.
Love,
Momo (and all the other curly fries, I'm sure)

Thisposthasnosubjectyay!
Today is Thursday.
The last Thursday before...
..it...
D:
We shant speak of it.
Anyway. Tomorrow is our marching band performance. All of the squads (groups of 4-5 of like instruments) can dress up in costumes together.
For example, my group considered:
- Disney princesses
- Trees (?)
- Strippers (not my idea in any way)
- Cops that are really strippers (still not my idea)
- Harry Potter characters
- Skittles
- alcoholic beverages (once again, not my idea)
- playing cards
- dominos
- the 7 Dwarves
- Antoine Dodsen(s)
- Cars
We ended up choosing cars because it would be the easiest. All we're wearing are t-shirts with the logos of various cars on the front.
We're really lazy.
What else?
Uuuh. A giant storm just passed through. It was crazy.
Wasn't that a fun and lazy summer post?
It was.
Bye.

We shant be speaking of the horrible tragedy that will come true in 1 1/2 weeks.
No. We will pretend that the s-word doesn't exist.
******
I was sleep-talking last night. Did you all know that I sleep-talk a lot?
I do.
Whenever I share a bed with my mom on vacations or whatever she tells me that I talk in my sleep and she can even have conversations with me.
Anyways.
Anyways.
Apparently I was sitting in my bed going, "HULLO? HULOOOOOOOO?". My mom walked in to see if I was okay and I said something about a devil or something.
I think I should video tape myself sleeping one time. That'd be a guaranteed YouTube hit.
******
VIRGIL IS BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But xiy and Lynda are just now
leaving for their vay-cay. That makes me sad.
******
Next week is band camp!!! I'm so excited to see my friends!!!
Virgil and her twinsie are squad leaders. I already know my squad because my sister is a field commander (conductor) but I wish Virgil's sister was my squad leader. Poo. She's so cool.
******
Aglarblahr. Tomorrow I have to get my teeth cleaned with the stupid blind dentists who think that when they scrape chunks of gum out everything is jolly-good. I hate themmm.
******
I'm gonna miss these summer posts with no subject.
I straightened my hair today and thought of you, Housie-poo!!

Howdy?
Goodness. I logged on to 6LCF today to post and I saw the thing that tells us how many posts there are and it said 400! I was so excited. Then I found all of these drafts (I think mainly from House) that were almost all titled "lalalalala". One of them was titled "House, Virgil, and Momo Exploded!!" and it was about Latin Convention and it was only "OMG! Latin! Weekend! Food! .5 star hotel!". I deleted those, though, because they were basically all empty. Yeah.
You know what sucks? We only have 19 days until school and I DON'T WANNA GOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY CAN'T MAKE ME GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I WILL STAY HERE AND HIDE AND THEY CAN'T FORCE ME TO GIVE UP SUMMER!!!!!!!
I don't wanna go to school. :(
I dunno what to pooost. Aglahbablah.
I wrote that ^ this morning but now it's night.
I just came back from dinner with my neighbors and the husband of the woman is such an asshole. It made me think, like, how someone marries a person and can guarantee that they'll stay nice and lovely the whole relationship. It makes me nervous because I want to get married and have children of my own (that's so weird) but I'm scared that I won't marry a person that will stay nice.
Like, the husband must have been really nice when my neighbor got married, right?
I want a Molly-Arthur Weasley relationship!!!! That is the kind of relationship I want when I get married.
Do you ever think about your future like that?
Like who you'll marry.
And the fact that he is alive somewhere on the planet.
Or you might even know him already.
Doesn't that sort of creep you out?
When I was in Germany, I kept having this dream that I lived there and I was all grown up and married and had children and you all came to visit me and we were driving around and I was translating signs for you all. We were all grown up (which was really odd) and all had husbands and kids that were all playing together (not the husbands). It was very strange.
Anyway.
Those were just some thoughts.
Blagh.
Love, Momo
In my Germany dream, Lynda had grown quite a bit. Don't give up hopes of being tall, Lyndy-kins!!

Nothing Really...
Only 3 more days until I come home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a little sad to be leaving [especially since I'll miss the last week of school (a.k.a. field trips)] and probably won't see my friends here again, but I'm also excited to come home.
When I get back, Virgil is leaving for Scotland (which stinks for me) and we're going to have breakfast together. Does anyone else want to come? It'll be early, so I think we can assume House won't come. :P
I also bought all of y'all presents, so we have to gather at some point so I can give thems to you.
How's the whether over there? It's still rainy and cold here. Blech.
Guess what we did in school today? In first period we did these number puzzles that are sort of like soduku (sudoko? soduku? sudidhfivbu ofhbuig) and are really fun. Then we had some 11th graders talk to us about trash (which was definitely not as exciting) and I ended up making a mosaic with my dried up white out. Then we had two periods of art and I arted a pretty picture. Then we had the option of watching people crash cars or watching Harry Potter. I chose Harry Potter. And then we went home.
I wish school was always like that.
I am going to go read now!! BYE.

OMG! Also, there is this boy in my class, Tobi, and he was humming songs from AVPM and I was like "OHMYGOSHILOVEYOUDOYOUWANTTOMARRYME?!?!?!" and he was like "?" and then we were talking about how awesome AVPM is and I asked him if he'd seen AVPS and he hadn't and I told him that he just had to watch it and now he will. I changed a life.

Not even gonna say it...
I'm not going to mention that You Know What is coming out in a couple of hours because we all know who might just die of excitement.
I actually can picture Virgil sitting in her room with her wand and cloak on, waiting for midnight. Just, like, staring at the clock and every few seconds jumping because it's a little sooner.
I can also picture xiy planning an amazing post for tomorrow about how it's not over yet and House screaming "And now it's even closer! AND CLOSER!!!! AND NOW IT'S EVEN CLOSER!!!!!!!!!!". I can picture Lynda being mad because she still hasn't found her replacement horcrux (cough, cough). And Carrie, well, I don't know how she is handling all this.
I really need to see you people.
I bought y'all lots of candies (I really hope chocolate is acceptable [except I can't remember if Lynda doesn't like all chocolate or not and I'm freaking out)] and I already bought some other gifts, in addition to the candies.
I come home in 10 days!!!
It's a little sad to go, but I like being home as well.
Being home is nice.
You know what else is nice?
Soccer/football/Fußball.
The US women made it to the world cup finals--which is on Sunday btw--along with Japan. The Amuricans played against Brazil in the quarter-finals and it was really close. In fact, due to a stupid call by the ref, it ended up being tied and needing to go into overtime. The Amuricans ended up beating Brazil and going on to the semi-finals. Then, yesterday, they played France. At the beginning, they did really well and scored a goal. Then France got mad and they started being all good but couldn't make any goals (well, I mean, one). The US won.
Also, Japan played against Sweden and beat them.
WHICH MEANS the Amuricans have to beat the Japanese on Sunday and they'll be the WORLD CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!
Germany be sawdy.
They have a TV magazine with all the programs for the week and for the soccer finals it says something like, "If everything went according to plan, Germany will be playing against Brazil probably". The magazines are printed, like, 2 weeks in advance.
They are false.
Alrighty then. I've finished rambling for today. :)
Momo
I realized yesterday that it would be really funny if I made a piece of art and called it Mo's Art. Get it? No? Ok.

Oh dear...
Helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooo?! Goodness. This blog seems dead.
It seems as if we have fallen back into the summer phase. You know, saying hello and then goodbye with a little story in the middle for posts. A comments-per-post decrease of an average of 60% per post. You know. Summer phase.
I'm not saying our posts have gotten horrible, but maybe we should do something to get some excitement up in hur. Theme week maybe? We haven't had a very successful theme week in a while. Hm...
ANYWAY.
In other news:
- Yesterday I attended the first school musical of my life in which champagne was served.
- My mother's 30th* birthday is tomorrow.
- In gym today, I set a personal record when I threw a ball 12 meters. That's right. 12 meters. 36 feet. Bam. [This is, for normal people standards, very pathetic]
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out for you in 8 days.
- Wait what?!?!
- 8 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Unfortunately, it isn't showing here until later. I don't knows when. There isn't even a movie theater for, like, 20 km.
- Who wants to have a HPDH pt. 2 watching party with me when I return?!
- I need to buy gifts for all of yous alls.
- I've finished 5 chapters of APUSH.
- And guess what? Chapter 6 is super short. WOOHOO!
- I'm playing in a concert tonight!!! :D The band at the school isn't actually that great (even though the school I go to is music-based). It's just, we're playing really easy songs and there's no balance or dynamics and a lot of important instruments are missing (like all percussion except for maraccas and cymbals). But it's still fun.
- That would be all for today's news.
I miss you all so much!! I hope you are all having nice summers!!!!!
There have already been secret messages. Goodness.

DON'T TALK TO ME. I'M NOT EMOTIONALLY STABLE.
HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS AHHH
I'm just trying to prepare myself. I mean, in the basic sense of the word, I'm prepared. I got my ticket, I got a ride, I got a T-shirt that says "IT ALL ENDS HERE."
BUT I'M JUST NOT EMOTIONALLY PREPARED FOR THIS TO HAPPEN.
I was going to just end the post here, but I decided to do one of these 30-day Harry Potter challenges... except I plan to do this whole thing right now. Here it goes!!
Note: I didn't write these questions, I found them on the internet.
Day 2: Your fave movie.
Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book.
Day 4: Least fave female character and why.
Day 5: Fave male character and why.
I'm just trying to prepare myself. I mean, in the basic sense of the word, I'm prepared. I got my ticket, I got a ride, I got a T-shirt that says "IT ALL ENDS HERE."

That's really, really hard. I think I'll have to say the seventh book, just because all of the awesome plot intricacies come together in a way that blows my mind. But to be honest, I could make an argument for any of the books and why they're each my favorite. I just love them all so much :'(
Day 2: Your fave movie.
That's difficult too. For my favorite in terms of how good the movie itself is on its own, I would have to say Prisoner of Azkaban. However, if I'm judging in terms of how good the adaptation was, definitely DH pt 1. And of course, overall most-awesome-movie-ever, Deathly Hallows Part 2. I don't care that it hasn't come out yet... IT'S MY FAVORITE.
Day 3: Is there any of the films adaptations that have made you angry because they’ve ignored important parts of the book.
The fifth and sixth one both left out a ton of important plot details (even though I must say that the large injection of humor into Film 6 was very entertaining). There are two specific scenes that bother me the most - Snape's Worst Memory (it was in there, but only like five seconds. I think there's a full version on the deleted scenes, but still) and the omission of Kreacher's Tale - which was the only thing that I hated about DH pt. 1 with the exception of the Harmony dance scene.
Day 4: Least fave female character and why.
Least favorite in terms of dislike? Dolores Umbridge, of course. I want to strangle her. However, she IS very well characterized for her purpose, and in that sense, she is not my least favorite.
Least favorite in terms of the characterization? Ginny, definitely. She's got a huge role in the plot, and yet she's given absolutely no depth of character in my opinion.

Day 5: Fave male character and why.
Severus Snape!!! :) He's my hero. His story just breaks my heart. :'(
I also really love Neville. <3 If I had to marry one of the characters from Harry Potter, I would choose him.
Day 6: What house would you want to be in.
"Would you want to be in"? Uhh, this isn't hypothetical at all. I AM A RAVENCLAW!!
Day 7: Fave female character and why.
Difficult. Probably Luna Lovegood. I feel like I can really relate to her. But I also love Tonks, and McGonagall is a beast, and of course Mollywobbles Weasley, "Not my daughter, you [w]itch!" ;)
Day 8: What do you think would be your fave lesson.
This one is easy - Ancient Runes! I love Latin and Ancient Greek, so Runes would be my favorite lesson at Hogwarts.
Day 9: Least fave male character.
Peter Pettigrew really pisses me off because he's such a coward. Also, I can't stand Lockhart.
That Potter boy gets on my nerves too.
Day 10: Horcruxes or Hallows.
Badly-worded question. Which would I rather possess? Hallows, of course. Which should Harry have been focusing on during the seventh book? Probably Horcruxes.
Day 11: What character would you say you are most like.
I don't know. I feel like I'm a cross between Luna and Hermione (even though JKR herself describes Luna as the anti-Hermione) because I'm very book!smart (depends on who you ask, though) and sometimes a bit harsh on people of lower intelligence - but I'm also quite strange, I don't really give a crap about conforming to what people think I should act/look like, and I'm sometimes socially awkward unless I'm around people who I know really well.
Day 12: Fave ship.
I really love Sev/Lily, even though it wasn't meant to be. Also Harry/Luna is really fun to write.
As for canon ships, I'd have to say Ron/Hermione. Oh, come on. They're meant for each other.
Day 13: Least fave movie.
Order of the Phoenix.
Day 14: Team Voldermort or Team Harry.
Hey that's funny, you spelled Voldemort wrong just like on our Latin Club T-shirts.
Um... Team Harry. As much as I like the idea of being a Death Eater and getting that sweet tat, Voldemort's ideals are, quite frankly, really bigoted. Muggle-borns should be allowed the same rights as any other wizards, and I would never support a dictatorship in which Ron and Hermione cannot legally get married. Team Harry is the obvious Good Side.

Team Harry is the obvious Good Side.
Day 15: Who would be your best friends at hogwarts. (three only)
Probably some random "Ravenclaw girls" who aren't even important enough in the books to get names. Perhaps one of them would be Luna.
Day 16: Fave professor
McGonagall, of course. She's such a beast. And by beast, I mean kitty cat!
Day 17: Are you excited about The Deathly Hallows movie or scared it won’t do the book justice.
I'm excited - I genuinely think it'll be really good and do the book justice. I'm just scared that I won't be able to hold myself together and end up leaving the theater in an ambulance.
Day 18: Least fave book.
Not a fair question. No, I have no least favorite.
Day 19: Do you prefer the books or films.
Books, duh.
Day 20: If you had to meet one member of the cast, who would it be.
Does J.K. Rowling count as a member of the cast??
Hmmm.... probably Rupert Grint. <3
Day 21: Out of all the characters that died, if you could bring one back, who would it be.
DOBBY!!!!
Day 22: Harry Potter or Twilight
**chokes** wait, what?!? Who wrote this thing?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
Day 23: Any part of the books/movies that makes you cry.
In the books, I cried when Dumbledore dies and when Dobby dies and also at the end of Deathly Hallows, just because it was over. In the movies, all those parts plus when Cedric dies - it's more emotional in the film adaption, I think.
Day 24: Any particular scene you wished would have been put in the movie but it wasn’t.
Oh, I think I already said that. Snape's Worst Memory and Kreacher's Tale.
Day 25: Nineteen years later. Are you happy how it turned out, or do you wish something was different, ie Neville married Luna.
Uh... I don't know. I kind of wish it had been presented in a different way. And I also kind of wanted Harry to die at the end of the battle. The epilogue was okay. Meh.
Day 26: If you could be able to work one spell without a wand what would it be.
Reparo! Now that would make my life easier.
Day 27: Would you rather own The Invisibility Cloak, The Resurrection Stone or The Elder Wand.
Probably the Cloak. It's the most useful - plus, it's doesn't give you grief and people don't try to kill you for it. Those are nice bonuses.
Day 28: Do you listen to Wrock, what do you think about it.
I listen to a bit of Wrock, but of course - as with any genre - it depends on the artist. I really like The Butterbeer Experience and The Ministry of Magic.
Day 29: Did you enjoy A Very Potter Musical.
YESYESYESYESYESYES!!! It's even better than the WB films!! :)
Day 30: What affect has Harry Potter made on your life and how much does it mean to you.
Oh god.
*starts to sob*
Harry Potter saved my life, let's just leave it at that.
The sun is like BLAZING at me through the window right now. I've got to get off of the computer.
This exercise has been so emotionally draining. Please leave a comment if you want to discuss any of the questions.

It's Virgil's BIRFDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today (this very day) is Virgil's (our very own Virgil's) BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was decided earlier that we would leave the site as is (you know, Potter festivities are sort of Virgil's thing) but there will be a new picture (possibly banner) going up soon. AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VIRGIL!!!!! We all love you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!! I miss you loads and just reading about reading camp made me feel like I like I was reading about some amazing person that I could only dream of meeting. BUT GUESS WHAT? I actually know you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gah!!!! You just make me wanna bounce up and down. Especially since it's your birthday. I bought you a special present, too (just letting you know). GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was telling all my friends at school today that one of my best friends' birthday is today and they sort of stared at me. I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay. Have an awesome day.
**************
The rest of this post is back to normal Momo:
So, as I have already announced many times, I am in Germanland. Last week was such horrible weather (cold and rainy and gray) but, luckily, things have cleared up. Just in time for school. Bah.
School has been great so far. All the kids (all girls except for 5 boys) are SUPER nice. They all ask me questions like, "What are pilgrims?" and "Are there really cheerleaders?" which normally continues as " Wait, wait, wait. Like, they're real?!?" and I laugh and nod. And then they ask me, "Do you really have the same classes every day?" and I nod and they almost faint.
They are so funny.
It's also lovely because I know most of the stuff that they are doing since we're already done with school.
I love how esily impressed everyone is. I went to band yesterday and sight read music from "West Side Story" and they were all astounded.
I also love the teachers. They barely ever give homework and they are so interested with me. The Latin teacher found it astounding when I told him (and the class. Whenever I talk to a teacher, it becomes really quiet) that I translated Latin into English which I then translate into German.
I just love everything here.
I love the scheduling most of all, though. Every day is a different set of classes starting at 8:00 and going (normally) until 1:00. Some days, like Tuesday, for example, start and hour later. Some days, like today, go until 1:00 with an hour break and then continue until four. But the bestest of all are the days, like tomorrow, that start at 8:00 and end around 10:00.
I really do miss all of you, though. I hope you are all having fun, productive summers!!! :)
Happy birthday, Virgil!!!!!
Secret Message? Blah. Don't feel in the mood.

Book Tuesday!!!! (I'm Old Gregg!!!)
<< VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE THAT ALSO INVOLVES BOOKS!!!
JOHN GREEN HAS ANNOUNCED THE TITLE OF HIS NEW NOVEL, "THE FAULT IN OUR STARS"!!!!
AND HE'S SIGNING ALL OF THE PREORDER COPIES!!!
I MADE A COVER AND POSTED IT IN YOUR PANTS, HERE IT IS:
THAT IS ALL. CONTINUE READING THE POST AS USUAL.
Today, I am going to talk about books. But before I do that, I have to get something off my chest.
16 DAYS UNTIL HARRY POTTER
OH MY ROWLING
HOW DID THIS HAPPEN
HARRY POTTER SHALL NEVER ENDDD
**dies**
Okay, okay. I'll try to breathe normally. But while I'm on the topic of OMG HARRY POTTER, I'm going to talk about Pottermore. OH WAIT. There isn't anything to talk about because nobody has any idea what Pottermore is!! Grrr >.< That announcement video was so vague. She just went up and was like, "This is going to be a brand-new online experience internet thingy that has something to do with the eBooks and you're all going to love it and OMG LOOK THERE'S AN OWL GO FOLLOW IT!!!" I'm not saying that I'm not excited to find out more, because I'm really pumped for whatever Jo is throwing at us. I'm just annoyed because the way it's presented, it makes it look like the whole thing is explained, when really it just raises more questions about what this thing really is.
I just hope it doesn't cost money.
Go watch Alex Day's video "What the f-ck is Pottermore?" on YouTube. He agrees with me.
Okay, now I'll move onto the actual post. First things first: theme song time!!
La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves Reading Camp, and APUSH too! That's Virgil's worrrllddd!!!
I have a lot to talk about, but all of the various subjects are related because they all involve BOOKS!!
NUMBER ONE:
I am reading A LOT of books right now. I don't even know how this happened. I'll list them in no particular order:
Shipbreaker Paolo Bacigalupi - okay, I actually just finished this one the other day, so it's not really current. It was recommended by Hank Green in a video a few months ago and I just got around to reading it. A bit more YA-ish than I normally prefer, but it was really good and had some really interesting world-building.
The Moses Quest by Will Adams - really good so far, but I've just started it, so I haven't formed an opinion yet.
Academ's Fury by Jim Butcher - The second book in a series called "The Codex Alera." JIMBUTCHERJIMBUTCHERJIMBUTCHER AHHHHHH
Thirteen Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson - I've never read any of her stuff before, so I found this and started it, but then I kind of put it down and didn't pick it up again. But I'm still technically in the middle of reading it, and I still plan on finishing it. Eventually.
The Aeneid by Me - just rereading my own work. You know how it is. Always room for improvement!
Reading Like a Writer by Francine Prose - it's just so totally awesome that she's a writer and her last name is "Prose." That just blows my mind.
I Am America (And So Can You) by Stephen Colbert - I love this guy. He's hilarious. And totally not a liberal... ;)
The American Pageant - lol no comment. I finished the first chapter today!!
NUMBER TWO:
Reading Camp was amazing!!! My kids were great, and they all improved so much! It's awesome to see how much of a difference a little bit of one-on-one attention can do for a kid's reading skills, and also just overall confidence. They all grew so much over the course of one week, and I am so proud. It was really hard work, and I got no sleep at all, and one of my campers wet the bed and I had to do the laundry which was NOT FUN, and I got eaten alive by mosquitoes, but everything was worth it. I also bonded with the other counselors. We had a blast during our time off (which was like 9:30 pm onwards every night) and we spent the wee hours of the morning watching YouTube videos, eating junk food, giving each other straddle-massages (because any sense of decency disappears when you're at camp), attempting to free-draw maps of Africa, and playing Connect Four.
I love Reading Camp. :)
Have any of you seen the YouTube video called Old Gregg? Don't look it up. This is a cult that you DON'T want to be in.
At first I thought it was a sea anemone... the second half of this quote isn't appropriate for the 6LCF blog
NOO DON'T GO LOOK IT UP ON YOUTUBE IT'LL SCAR YOU FOR LIFE I SWEAR!!!
do it.
NUMBER THREE:
I swear I had a number three, but now I've forgotten what it was.
Okay, that is all.
Best wishes!
Virgil

Guten Morgen, 6LCF!!!
Hello, my dearest darlings! <-- Don't know why I said that...
I write to you from Germany, where I am, for the next 6-ish weeks, residing. How is life over there in the U. S. of A.? It's been rather rainy here, but yesterday and the day before were both warm enough for us to be outside. Then it started to rain again. BUT! It was so sunny while it was raining that we saw not one, not three, but 2 whole rainbows. AT THE SAME TIME!!!! So, yeah. It was pretty hard core. All dem rainbows up in da sky.
Hee hee! I just realized that even though I'm writing this at 8:00 in the morning here, it's only 2:00 in the morning there. I can almost sense House staring through the darkness into the depths of her computer screen whereas here, there is bright sun-light streaming through my window.
I have noticed an issue that has occurred several times. Communication. It seems that we have had a few problems (especially recently) with communication. It seems that some of us don't always read all of the posts and/or comments. That's fine, I guess. I think we should make sure that whatever goes on in the comments/posts (if it's important) should also go on Facebook or be somehow communicated otherwise.
That is all.:)
Also, we have only found five of the now 8 horcruxes (it seems that a certain xiy might be in league with Voldemort and created an 8th horcrux that Lynda found). I already posted 2. I think that maybe, if possible, Lynda should have to find another horcrux and Carrie still has yet to find one. That's okay. Not everyone can be as perfect, amazing, cool, or wonderful as a Hufflepuff. Remember, if all the horcruxes are not found in time, we shall all perish. :(
That's all I have effort time for.
xiy and I both had all the horcruxes found last week, yo. I was first, though. :D

Horcruxes #1 + #2 + #3 + #4
Have no fear, Curly Fries! I, Momo, have already found not one, not three, but 2 horcruxes.

Now I have to find a way to destroy them both .
Also, our magical cloud of tags is also a Horcrux.I'm too lazy to take a screenshot, but it's there.
Nevermind, here you go (I have had to do this three times today. Blogger is being silly):
I don't happen to have a basilisk venom or the sword of Gryffindor or Fiendfire* on hand ...
Instead, I will use a Killing Curse. There's not much else to say about that.
I don't think I'm allowed to find anymore Horcruxes. :( Oh well.
Also, our magical cloud of tags is also a Horcrux.
Nevermind, here you go (I have had to do this three times today. Blogger is being silly):
![]() |
I shall kill it by way of basilisk fang to the metaphorical heart. |
Ooh! I found one! (and another one/2/3...but I'll let y'all find the rest)
![]() |
Note from Voldemort: this is what I would call an "accidental Horcrux" and if you guys are including this in your hunt, then there are actually 8 total. |
As Momo is banned from Fiendfyre, I shall use it, and BURN IT! lol...I saw the HP7-IT ALL ENDS HERE thing, and I started to hyperventilate and stuff....G'luck on finding the rest, I found 5...have to find the rest :)

I found another Horcrux while writing this post. That is a hint btw. Gahh!!! I found another one!!!!!!!On the right cough cough. I can't help it; I'm a Hufflepuff. I'm getting off this site before I find too many more.
*Lynda says I can't play with fire anymore. I'm just assuming the same applies with magical fire.

Are You Sure It's Summer?
Today is the last day of school for the elementary-middle school students. It seems as if it's been an eternity since our last final on Monday, but it still doesn't quite feel like summer.
Yes, it's hot.
Yes, it's unbearably muggy.
Yes, I've eaten an unusual amount of ice cream.
But no, it does not feel like summer yet. Odd.
I'm sad.
I was supposed to go to work with my daddy today. I was very excited.
I packed some books (APUSH eeeewww) and laid out some clothes, set my alarm and went to bed.
Then, when I woke up at 8:45 this morning instead of 6:15, I became very upset.
Shortly after, my dad called home to see if I was awake. He said I was sleeping, so he didn't wake me up.
Shortly after, my dad called home to see if I was awake. He said I was sleeping, so he didn't wake me up.
My stupid alarm clock slows itself down and ends off being a few hours off by the time it's supposed to go off. Grrr.
So, the 6LCF have some new plans for this weekend. There's a cool parade where we live next Saturday. We're all going to Carrie's house and then we'll take the train to the parade. When that's over, we'll train back over to my house where we will hang out until it's dark and then play flash-light tag.
Also, yesterday we QWOPed but Carrie wasn't there which sort of caused tension but it's all good now.
I'm trying to fit as many activities with other human beans into my day as possible before I go to Germanland. I want to have fun before I go to school again.
Speaking of which! I don't know if I even formally explained my Germanland trip. On the 18th (a week and 2 days from today) I will be shipped off to Germanland to live with some friends for about 5 1/2 weeks. I'll go to school for a few of those weeks and then take a train up north for my uncle's 60th birthday party. I will probably still be able to post. I think.
To everyone else: What are your plans for the summer (if any)? Don't say doing homework/studying. That doesn't count.
I can't wait until Saturday!!! Woot!
Love,
Momo
P.S. Have any of you looked through your old posts? I just looked at the ones from around this time last year. It is so weird to see how our style has/hasn't changed and reminisce on the olden days.
P. P. S. I just had an idea!!!! What if we each wrote letters to ourselves in the future and had them be posted on a certain day in the future? Yes, no?

Giant Squid of Angerness
I. F*CKING. HATE. OUR.* SCIENCE TEACHER.
I just drew above picture to calmly express my deep feelings of rage towards her.
Today, we took our science final.
It started out okay.
I arrived at multiple choice question 136 and almost died.
You see, all the other science classes are one chapter ahead of ours. Our teacher told us quite plainly that the chapter that we haven't done wouldn't be on our final.
Guess what questions 136-145 were about?
I politely raised my hand to ask her if, maybe, she would just take those off the final. She came over and I said, "You told us that these weren't going to be on the final."
She picked up the final, probably for the first time, and said, "I told you yesterday to learn this."
I shook my head, "No, you didn't," I responded coolly, "You never told us that."
"Yes, I did!"
"You really didn't, though."
"I did. You should know this." She moved on to the next person with his hand raised.
"Ms. Tin Rabbit," he asked calmly, pointing to questions 136-141, "We never learned this."
"I TOLD YOU ALL TO LEARN ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!!!!"
Everyone else: *Shaking heads* No, you didn't. Maybe the other class. Not this one.
She storms off to Google it.
A few minutes later she tells us that we should just know the answers. She tells us one of the answers and then leaves.
RRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
I despise her.
Those weren't the only questions we never learned, though. I hope I get my B so I can keep my A in the class. :/
Anyway.
On a happier note: I got my temporary license!!!!!!!! I got to drive places yesterday and Tuesday, which was fun.Can any of you drive with a licensed guardian over the age of 21? Noooo. Well, unless you can...
I'll be able to get my license before any of the other 6LCF can even get their temps (except Carrie, I guess). LOL. :D

Also, I have this amazing new song stuck in my head from Kevjumba/Nigahiga/Chestersee. Go listen to it now. So good.
I am going to go study for tomorrow's finals. Whhhhhheeeeee.
I like chocolate ice cream.

Banquet[o]
I feel like every week that I post, I'll be asking why it isn't Friday yet.
Honestly, though, could Friday come any slower?
Not only do we have to endure five entire school days before Friday every week, but we have more things to worry about now that finals season has returned.
Gagh. <-- segue
Our dear Thaichicken [she's in college (which means she's on summer vacation already)] joined our Latin class this week to explore the marvelous rituals of dead people in Ancient Rome.
Yeah.
Sadly, today was her last day (although I'm sure she has had enough of us by now).
SPEAKING OF LATIN <-- segue
Every year, Latin students from 9th-12th grade are invited to this marvelous thing called Banquet[o].
That done been happened yesterday.
All students who are either freshmen (that's us) or first time banqueters (banqueteers?) get to be slaves while everyone else gets to be a master.
I had probably the most innovative slave masters of them all.
Having an innovative master is not always the best thing.
My master thought very hard about how to keep herself entertained all night.
Most of the slaves only had to wear silly costumes and doing silly tasks. House and Virgil, for example, had to color a teddy bear in five minutes. T
My master made me hop around in a pillow case.
I got to fill a bucket up with water with a Styrofoam cup that was covered with holes. Most of the water landed on the floor.
I got to write a three act play with the topics of orange, "the magnificent vegetable eggplant", and a man who lost his blimp/zeppelin.
The play had to flow nicely, had to be a musical, and it was written in 9 minutes.
I also had very specific food orders in which I had to fight for a bottle of apple juice, sort the fruit salad so my master only got apples, no food could touch the other foods, and if I spilled (which was easy since I was hopping all night) I had to start again.
All of these things might sound horrible, but it was the most fun and memorable Latin event since convention.
We all got awards for the National Latin/Greek Exams, good food, and prizes like "power" bracelets and pinwheels.
Also, at the end, I organized a slave revolt and we got to attack our masters with water guns.
*sigh*
I love Latin. Best Language Ever
