It's so weird to not study....and a love letter

HELLO.

After working so hard to study and prepare for the AP exams, I feel, like, not normal. I feel lighter, though, which is nice because I had heavy boots from studying so much. It just isn't very pleasant to study. I don't know what to do with my life now!!!

I like it.

Before we had the APs I wrote a list of things that I wanted to do after we were done. It includes sleeping, catching up on my YouTube subscriptions from the last 2 months (which I've been doing all afternoon) and making a graduation present for my sister. I've only caught up on YouTube.
Shows how good I am at prioritizing.

I don't know how to write words.

So I just did some research about what to write about. [I'm really drawing a blank, OK?]
One of the suggestions was to a write a love letter to your favorite person/people and I thought that would be relevant seeing as we just celebrated (without the celebration part) our second anniversary.

Dear Six (Five, I guess (since I'm not writing to myself (although I do love myself))) Little Curly Fries,
Your eyes are more beautiful than the stars     I love your smile    You smell really nice   I like your boots
I like you guys a lot.
I guess that's called love.
I love you guys a lot.
I love having 5 best friends to share a blog with and I love always knowing who I can hang out with and I love knowing who I can bother and I love having 5 girls I can talk to all the time.
I love that we don't fight (much) and that if we do fight it lasts minutes at most.
You make me smile a lot.
I love having a name for my group of friends and that we have a group on Facebook.
I love that even though we are all totally different we all share similar interests.
I love how we can characterize each other in less than five words or a million if we felt like it.
I love cats. oops
I love how we can tease each other like sisters and still laugh about it together.
You are all really nice.
I love all the memories we have together.
I love that we are still gonna have a lot more memories.
I just love everything about all of you.

In conclusion, I love you more than a million kitties all curled up on my bed.
I love you all a lot.

And that was my really bad love letter.

The End.

Loooooooooooove, Momo

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2 Review - Part 2

This post is a continuation of last week's post. If you didn't read it, please go here.

SO. I saw the film for a third time since I wrote Part One (the people running the mission trip decided to give us a break from the boiling hot sun & hard labor & sweat, so they took us to the only movie theater in the county where the water bottles cost like seven dollars) and this time it was in 3D.

Now, I should start off by saying that I don't like 3D movies in general. The 3D-ness always seems to pull me away from the movie itself, because there are certain bits that are more noticeably 3D than others. This was exactly the problem that I had with the 3D version of Harry Potter - it just takes away from the *escaping* aspect of watching the movie. There were also green-screen effect bits that seemed to be much more obvious because of the way the 3D had been shot. Also, those glasses are annoying, especially when you have to put them over actual glasses.

Overall, the 3D was pretty well-done, but I liked the 2D version better.

Moving on with the actual review.... I left off in Gringotts. The escape scene was cool (great music!) and I loved the shots of the expressions on the goblins' faces as the dragon crashed straight through the lobby. The thing with the chandelier shaking right before all hell breaks loose - what a classic Harry Potter scene! That scene gets an A+ :)

The flash-vision Voldemort/Horcruxes bit while Harry was in the water - that was nice put together. It gave all of the necessary information without over-explaining things. It was weird how after they jumped in the water and swam to shore, they felt the need to walk all the way up the hill before they started changing clothes. That whole scene was so awkward! Shirtless!Rupert was a nice treat, but he and Dan spent ages struggling with those sweaters, and it was awkward how Hermione didn't put on dry clothes. I realize that nudity isn't allowed in PG-13 movies, but she could have at least put on a dry jumper or something. OR they could have just used that Air-dry charm that Dumbledore does to dry off Harry's clothes in the sixth book.

The Caterwauling Charm when they Apparate into Hogsmeade was well-done. I liked the way Aberforth was first introduced - you could hardly see him there in the doorway - and then you find out who he is, and he goes into his "don't trust Albus" rant. It kind of bothered me how resiliently trustful of Dumbledore Harry seemed throughout both movies. He has serious doubt in the book, but I guess they just didn't have time to insert the entire subplot into the movie. Still, there was a short time on July 21, 2007 when I think every Harry Potter fan doubted his or her own trust in Albus Dumbledore, and that feeling just wasn't replicated on screen.

They didn't go into as much detail with the Dumbledores' story as I would have liked, but Ariana's portrait was nicely done. Then... NEVILLE LONGBOTTOM! This is the part when the movie starts being amazing: the moment Matthew Lewis walks on screen. HE'S MY HERO. I love how he leads them up to the Room of Requirement, says a little something, and then just steps aside with a smug look on his face to reveal Harry Potter. Lightning has struck! I repeat, lightning has struck! That line made me laugh.

I'm SO SORRY I couldn't finish this review in two parts, because I have to hop on a plane soon. This will automatically post tomorrow, and then I'm not sure if I'll be able to write a post next week, but I'll definitely finish my review when I get back.

Love,
Virgil

The rest of this post is back to normal Momo:

So, as I have already announced many times, I am in Germanland. Last week was such horrible weather (cold and rainy and gray) but, luckily, things have cleared up. Just in time for school. Bah.

School has been great so far. All the kids (all girls except for 5 boys) are SUPER nice. They all ask me questions like, "What are pilgrims?" and "Are there really cheerleaders?" which normally continues as " Wait, wait, wait. Like, they're real?!?" and I laugh and nod. And then they ask me, "Do you really have the same classes every day?" and I nod and they almost faint.
They are so funny.
It's also lovely because I know most of the stuff that they are doing since we're already done with school.

I love how esily impressed everyone is. I went to band yesterday and sight read music from "West Side Story" and they were all astounded.

I also love the teachers. They barely ever give homework and they are so interested with me. The Latin teacher found it astounding when I told him (and the class. Whenever I talk to a teacher, it becomes really quiet) that I translated Latin into English which I then translate into German.

I just love everything here.

I love the scheduling most of all, though. Every day is a different set of classes starting at 8:00 and going (normally) until 1:00. Some days, like Tuesday, for example, start and hour later. Some days, like today, go until 1:00 with an hour break and then continue until four. But the bestest of all are the days, like tomorrow, that start at 8:00 and end around 10:00.

I really do miss all of you, though. I hope you are all having fun, productive summers!!! :)

Happy birthday, Virgil!!!!!
Secret Message? Blah. Don't feel in the mood.
Love,
Momo

Happy Valentine's Day!

I've noticed that no one's posted today for Valentine's like we were planning. Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day! May you all get fat off of chocolate and get as many stupid love cards as your tiny hands can gather. Also, enjoy some cheap flowers and stuff. Wee!
Did you ever notice that there are always a tremendous amount of birthdays in late October and November? Count nine months from Valentine's. There's your solution. Bamf. Guess who was born in November? Just putting that out there.*

Here's a poem to celebrate the day:

And also, because I know we all love each other so much, I give you my heart. Made out of chocolate:

-Momo

And I, xiy, present to you, inspired by Alex Day's wonderful song "Holding On":
I'll bake a chocolate cake for you, with tiers up to the moon.
Happy Valentine's Day. May you consume lots of delicious chocolate!

House's turn!
I present to you all the magical gift of PINK. Made it specially for you :D
{p.s. I freakin love Hello Kitty}
Hope you guys had a lovely Monday :)

Finals. Are. Tomorrow. *shrieks*

*stare in disbelief* sooo...I just wrote a paragraph, then had to go and eat dinner, but...the post is gone! Argh!
Oh well...
The Curly Fries have finals tomorrow! We have World Language (French, Latin, German, Chinese, etc.) and History. I'm not worried about my French finals, as it's not really that hard. I'm a little worried about my history final, there's a DBQ(Document Based Question), and while those aren't hard, they take forever. They're really quite annoying. Argh. I'll get to it when I get to it...
In other news, a certain friend of mine and a certain friend of mine were flirting with each other! :P So cute. Female was showing off her skills at badminton (though, her skills are NOTHING compared to my skillz), and Male was acting "funny" and purposely missing for Female's attention :) It was hilarious. Carrie and I had great laughs about it. We've decided they're going to have a Spring wedding, with rainbow colors.
Physics, ah, physics. This afternoon, Virgil, Momo, xiy, and I all went to science study circles so we could prepare for the science finals(as none of our teachers taught us enough). We were struggling, and then this amazing teacher came and helped us! Our troubles all flew away, and we feel smarter, at least, I do. So, I would like to thank that teacher (whose name I do not know >.>). If you are not quite sure if you're that teacher, ask yourself, "did I help a group of 4 girls-freshmen, on a problem about specific heat?" If yes, you are that teacher! (Also, the answer was 4E^1 degrees Celsius, had something about copper being put into water...) THANK YOU TEACHER THAT HELPED ME/US! I'm sure we would all like to shrink you and bring you along to our science finals...*sigh* wish that could happen.
Last week I promised that I would synopsis-fy this Chinese drama I watched...I lied. I'm way to tired/busy studying, and I also need to sleep, so that I shall be awake for my finals tomorrow. I'll try for next week, because it's really hilarious, and I want to write about it. (Though, if we do what I think we might be doing, I'll have more interesting things to write about. We'll see when next week comes, capish?)
Luv, Lynda
P.S. Like the dividers? The last one could be us! 6 girls! :) I call being the 4th from the right, the tallest.

Happy Mother's Day!

Good morning Curly Fries (and our super followers)! If you didn't already know, today is mother's day. We should all be honoring our mothers today, but in case you forgot, here is a poem that you can print out and give to your mommy to tell her how much you love her!

Mommy I Love You
Mommy, I love you
For all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too.
You feed me and need me
To teach you to play,
So smile 'cause I love you
On this Mother's Day.
