Yeah, so I have no idea what the title really means...
We're in AP Bio right now, and we're not doing anything at the moment 'cause we're in the computer lab waiting for instructions to do a lab.
(We, being House and me)
Damn, I haven't posted in ages.
Um, so, our huge APUSH exam is coming up this Friday ;A; and AP Biology exam is next Tuesday X_x
And um, yeah. So we have to do the lab now, bye.
Luv,
Lynda
P.S. HOLY FUCK I AM PANICKING ABOUT MY BIO GRADE HOLY FUCK IT IS NOT GOOD RIGHT NOW.

/pokes the blog
It looks like recently we've been getting more active again, which is lovely. c:
Anyway, today was a nice day; we had a day off of school and Momo and Virgil came over to do the source of all great unhappiness in the world, i.e. the 40 Questions of APUSH Class. We got through ten, ate dumplings and pineapple, and then went on a walk with Lynda and her siblings to the elementary-school playground. The seesaw there is pretty good, though not a legit seesaw (it has springs :|a) and thus not perfect.
Later, Virgil and I wrote some more of our pottergatsbyfic, which now has a witty and metaphorically resonant title: Borne Back Ceaselessly Into the Past. I also made us an ff.net account tentatively titled shupicorns. We've finished the first two chapters and might post it soon. Harry & Co. travel back in time to fight deatheater!Tom Buchanan and destroy Voldemort's eighth Horcrux, which is actually Gatsby's fabled green light. The metaphors all fit so perfectly; what's not to love?
(Oh and speaking of writing, Lynda and I started a writing journal as well, though as of yet there's not very much on it. I might post pottergatsbyfic up there too; who knows.)
I like Alex Day's music. Not so sure about "Lady Godiva," though. :|
Well, that's about it for today. I will go back to procrastinating on the Internet.

NHD and Other Stupid Things
Winter break is on the near horizon. That means only one thing in the minds of all students taking APUSH right now: NHD!!!!!!!!!!!! Also the fact that finals are coming up (like the Greek final on Tuesday (omg I don't know any grammar or vocabulary or history (but besides that I'm good (but there isn't anything else)))). It also means Latin Convention (YAY!!!!) is coming up (YAY!!!) and that we should start projects (BOO!!!) and listening to House pester us to memorize things (BOO!!!). We also have band concerts next week (Virgil, House, and I are on Monday and Carrie's on Tuesday) aaaaand my sister's birthday is on the 13th.
Bio teacher made my life today. We were supposed to have a huge test on genetic-ey things and suchness but no one understands it completely in our class (even Virgil and that's saying something). He decided to spare our puny brains and move it to Monday. Oh joy! Oh happy day! *skips around* Lynda and House still have it tomorrow though. Ha.
Tomorrow I plan to donate blood for the first time ever. I've been reading up the website and looking at information. I'm technically a few pounds underweight but if I wear shoes and drink a lot, no one will notice. I've been eating very iron-ey (not irony) foods to get good blood and drinking lots of water. I'm pretty pumped. Hopefully I'll be eligible for donating. :D
That concludes today's post.

This Week was Totally Awesome!
This week is so good. We only had three days of school (Monday, Wednesday, and today).
Not only that, but on Monday night we went to see the Starkid SPACE tour. It was only the most magical freakin' night of my life!!!!!! My voice is still a little wonky (as bio teacher would say) from screaming so much. It's funny, in all of the illegal videos I took, you can hear *SCREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!* little bit of singing *SRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMM*
In addition to singing all of the greatest hits from A Very Potter Musical, Sequel, Starship, Me and My Dick, and Little White Lies, the night was full of really funny comedy, inside jokes, dancing, and over-the-top fangirling on our part.
It was the best birthday present I could ever ask for. You guys are the bestest :D. I wish we could go again.
Tomorrow, Friday, is a conference day for the parents and we get to sit around and do NOTHING. Well, except, like, NHD and homework and studying and chores and...yeah.
It's rather cold.
xiy, Virgil, and I went fencing today. Virgil left early and then xiy and I decided to go fence in the neighboring dancing room. We fenced under spotlights and it was epic. We both won that match.
I'm cold.
Well, I think that just about wraps up this week.

Things that I Wrote Just Now
Hello! I'm feeling really happy right now. So I'm gonna talk about teachers.
Also, I have a lot of time so this post will be longer than the most recent 100 word posts we've been puttin' out. Aight.
I love my teachers this year. Compared to last year where many of my teachers were either BAD or meh or forgettable, my teachers this year just make me soooooo happy.
In APUSH today, our (House's and mine (my?)) teacher realized it was someone's birthday.
After a rather loud and squeaky rendition of Happy Birthday, he proceeded to skip (mind you, he's quite old) SKIP around the room while singing:
"Skip around the room!
Skip around the room!
We won't shut up until you skip around the room!"
With the birthday girl's arm linked in his. It was wonderful.
Next, he proceeded to tell us a story about how he "skipped around the room" with two sumo wrestlers in Japan and how his biggest fear was that they'd knock themselves out with their...their... man breasts (<---he said it like that). Also he drank 47 cups of soup and the sumo wrestlers drank about 700.
He's also a good teacher, though. I promise.
In other news: I am continuing to love biology. Not only do we (Virgil, xiy, and I) have an awesome teacher, but it's just all so cool. And it makes sense. And I don't think I've learned anything in science since 7th grade!
Additionally, Virgil and xiy and I are having a dress like Bio Teacher day next week. We even invited the honors bio class. It'll be splendid. We'll all look something like this:
Also worth noting was a quote that was something along the lines of, "I guess she [my daughter] decided to be a slutty pirate for Halloween" :(. Hahaha. Good times.
Which reminds me, Halloween is on Monday! I'm so excited. I'm going to dress up as Tigger and I know Virgil's gonna be Pooh and xiy might be Christopher Robin and it'll be so fun!!! This is the only time of year that I can really express myself. <---Actually, I hate it when people say that. You can express yourself whenever you want. No one's stopping you. On Halloween, however, you can express yourself through costume without [necessarily] being judged. Which is why some my former costumes have included being a tomato, a blade of grass, and grapes.
LASTLY: Sometime in the last day or so, the 7 billionth person born on this hur planet. Isn't it cool?! I mean, it is kind of scary to think that there are billions and billions of people on earth and that there are so many problems already and all that stuff. But 7 BILLION!!! I can't even count that high! I remember in elementary school when I found out that there were 6 and a half billion people. That scared me. It's just. Woah.
I have to eat dinner now. BYEEE
Loooooooooooove,
Momo

Sup
Hey there, peeps...
Howdy y'all...
*cough*
HI!
Today's Monday.
I love Mondays. BECAUSE YOU CAN LOOK FORWARD TO A LOVELY WEEK OF SCHOOL.
OMG.
So we have this Andrew Jackson trial thing for APUSH tomorrow, and I have to sort of dress up, and I'm like...grrrr. It annoys me that Nicholas Biddle doesn't wear sweatpants and t-shirts all the time. Then I'd be like, comfortable. >.<
Yo.
So Chinese Club wants to build a frickin' float. A dragon, to be exact. How they're gonna do that, I have no idea. I'm just responsible for bringing duct tape.
Uh....
That's about it for today.
Sorry for the boring post; it's been a long day and there's Greek tomorrow...sooo...I'm not really in the mood for a long drawn out post.
Luv,
Lynda

Oi, you! You're a GIT, you know?
Ah...git. The UK people sure have nice insult that aren't too demeaning and vulgar to hurl at a person in public.
Today, dear readers, I woke up at 7:30 AM.
NOT willingly.
I woke up and stretched, and yawned, and smiled at the rising sun.
But not really, because it was cloudy.
Then I said, "Oh, it's so nice to sleep early, and wake early! It's refreshing."
Ha. LIES. The normal human ritual is to sleep late, and then wake up when hungry.
Then...we went to my dad's lab in a U-HAUL.
That was really cool.
The funny thing about U-HAULs, is that the one I was in had those awesome things where you twist the handle to operate the windows...
I spent like, half the ride going: "WHEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" while playing with it.
Anyways, morning stuff over, I got to the lab, and started diligently reading my APUSH textbook.
Which, by the way, I've got 5 chapters left. Apparently last week's prediction of being done with it hasn't quite worked out...
Speaking of history, as I was finishing up WWII, I got to the part of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
Horrible. The book just mentions that, "Oh, a couple thousand died on impact, and then a few more thousand dies from the radiation burns a couple days later." Not that I'm complaining (less reading for me!), but really, the bombs inflicted lasting effects that scientists aren't even sure about today, and the number of people that ended up with leukemia increased, and so many other things that could have been influenced by the bombs...it's just really sad that the book doesn't even touch those topics.
And then later on, America goes and tests an H-bomb? *sigh* Humans can be so self-destructive...Though some people tried to create an international atomic weaponry council, but the US and the USSR both were wary because of the whole Cold War that was going on...*sigh*
All this is interesting, but the textbook is confusing when it goes on about politics, because it jumps from major events back to the little political brawlings that influence different things, and the timeline is completely screwed up, and oh-my-goodness how many times can a man run for president, lose, and then spring back onto the campaign scene??? You'd think they'd give up already.
Speaking of giving up. I've nearly given in to wearing a sign that says: "MADE IN CHINA". Or maybe "YES, I'M CHINESE. I'M ALSO ASIAN." Stupid idiots.
Ah. The little miniature rant felt good. Even if it was only a couple sentences long. I'm having problems with my ranting because it's summer, and I just found a couple of good fanfics, and I'm almost done with my textbooks, and it's summer, and we're going to the beach for a whole blessed week....and I'm in a surprisingly good mood....
Good grief, I'm in a good mood. huh. nice.
So, I've been running on Saturdays (3-ish miles) with my crew team, and there's been 4 people, including me at the practices...2 of them being the team captains. Oh, how lazy people are.
On the other hand, I'm incredibly lazy too. I'm still annoyed that daddy dearest decided that since my siblings no longer have camp or daycare, we'd get up earlier and get to the lab earlier...EARLY AS IN, 7:30 AM. RAWWWWWWWR.
well. That was a totally pointless post. Hey, why don't we end it with a song?
It's Deathly Hallows, gotta destroy a horcrux,
everybody's looking forward to the movie, part two! *goofy looking smile with two fingers held up (imagine a peace sign, for those of you who are bad at numbers)*
Deathly Hallows, gotta destroy a horcrux,
everybody's looking forward to the movie.
Dobby's dead, Dobby's dead, NO!
Dobby's dead, Dobby's dead, HOW?!
Cry, cry, cry, cry.
Looking forward to the movie.
The movie which I've already watched! EEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
Virgil's HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART TWO MOVIE REVIEW PART THREE will be up tomorrow! (I think, unless she can't post cuz she's in Scotland having FUN.)
