Aaaaah....Summer!

There is nothing like the sweet smell of summer first thing in the morning! The birds chirping, the sun shining, and of course, the sounds of the World Cup coming from the telly. My dad and I have been keeping up with the tournament, and even got up at 7:30 this morning to watch the Netherlands beat Denmark. Then again, I tend to wake up early anyway, so I didn't have to haul myself out of bed. Guess what else? Germany, my father land, creamed Australia. 4 to nil. That's right! Take that, Kangaroos!

It is so odd that I am posting before noon on a Monday. I should be in school! But I'm not, because there is none!!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention in the other posts what I thought about Cedar Point. It. Was. AMAZING! Not only did I have an amazing time, I get to go again on Wednesday with my exchange student. Hopefully I get to go on Top Thrill Dragster again. By the way, if you don't understand what all the hype is about, look at the picture below. Then you might understand.

Get it?

I made a bit of an oopsy, if you didn't already notice. You know how we had the sock puppet picture up? Yeah, well, when I changed that, I sort of noticed this new thing on the settings. It's this thing where you can choose new templates. I just wanted to see what they looked like and I didn't want to save it, but now we have a new template and I can't figure out how to undo it. Sorry. My bad.
 ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gosh. I don't have much to write about! I think it may be a little boring this summer...what with us not having anything to rant about. *sigh*.  I guess I'll just ask my questions and go back to figuring out the template thing. Computers are so dumb. Really. They are.
1.What is the most thrilling thing you've ever done?
2. Will you write to me while I'm away?
3. Do you know how to fix the template?
4. Do you know the Muffin Man?
5. Why is it harder to build a blonde snowman than a brunette one? [answer on bottom...if you're cool]
Because you have to hollow out the head!!!!! Hahaha!
Virgil's World (Cup)
Have you ever noticed that when you write a certain word more than about five or six times, it starts to look funny, as if you've spelled it wrong or something, even if you've spelled it right? No? Okay, never mind, that's just me. Moving on.
*theme music plays* (to the tune of "Elmo's World") La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la, Virgil's World! La-la-la-la, la-la-la-la, Virgil's World! Virgil loves quadratics and Potter too! That's Virgil's Whhirrrrlldd! *end theme music*
So... today is kind of officially the first day of summer vacation. I know that Thursday was supposed to be, but we still had to go to school for graduation, and then yesterday we went to Cedar Point, which still involved garish yellow buses and teachers. Also, this morning I had an audition for a very prestigious youth orchestra in our area (which went well even though there's no chance that I'll be getting in, regardless) so I couldn't actually relax until that was over. Now I'm on vacation.
When I'm on vacation, my brain somewhat turns off. Today, I think I'm just going to jog for a bit on the treadmill and then start outlining this new idea that I got for a story the other day. I might study some Latin or read some more of Lessons from an Optical Illusion (which I've been reading for several weeks now and still haven't finished) ...but I'll probably just end up reading fanfiction.
What should I talk about? I was going to write about the last day of school and then our field trip, but Lynda and House decided to have *collab posts* - so instead of posting about those things in here, I felt obligated to post about them over there.
You know, yesterday was probably the last time that all six of us will be together in the same place for a while. We're all going to different places over the summer, so starting in about a week, we'll never all be in the same state, let alone the same room.
OH I know! I'll write about the World Cup. That'll be fun.
So there are two World Cups going on this summer. There's the football one, which is taking place right now in South Africa, and then there's the Quidditch World Cup 2010 (yes, since there is one every four years and there was one in 1994 when the 4th book took place, there should be one in 2010). The latter isn't being broadcast-ed on American Muggle television, but the former is, so I've been watching bits and pieces of the matches, even though I'm honestly not that interested in football.
I don't have much else to say, really.
Questions:
1) By how many points do you think England will slaughter America in today's match?
2) Do you like football?
3) What do you do on summer days when you don't have anything planned?
4) What is your favourite song?
5) Do you think that I should go do something productive instead of coming up with more questions?
6) Do you have a favourite quote? What is it?
7) Celtics or Lakers?
8) Where is your favourite place in the entire world?
DFTBA,
PDBAZ,
Peace, love, & otters,
Virgil
