HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.
So...today it hit me that I'm like, a lot older than I was last year. Shush. Don't make fun of that statement.
It's not like a, "I'm 16...OH MY GOODNESS, THAT'S BIGGER THAN 15!" It was more like one of those days when you're just reminiscing on what happened in the past...your good old days w/out APUSH, NHD, AP Bio...*sigh*
Anyways, as I was reminiscing, I reminisced (<--an actual word y'all. I didn't make that up) upon how cute it was that HOUSE and EZ have been together for 2 whole years...*giggle* I remember when it was brought up at our lunch table in 8th grade that EZ liked House, and we, being the mature middle-schoolers that we were, bugged House about it :) That was fun. I think I remember something about Momo demanding EZ to sing "Love Story" by Taylor Swift to House <3 lol....
*cough* So those memories led to the next Sappy Feeling: lurve...
So...it's interesting 'cuz xiy still claims that I'll get a bf before her (HA!), and that I'll be all mushy with him (PSHAW, yeah right), and that she'll have much fun teasing me about it, because I'll "be just as bad as House and EZ are" (HA!). Ah....the things that xiy believes...
Sappy Feeling 3: fondness of old rants (yes, it's a real feeling. at least, for me)
I went through my first Monday post, and I found this lovely quote:
"I hate him. I want to stab him to death with a spear. Make that 10 spears, 20 machetes, and 18 forks. He had the nerve to turn around after a song, and say, "I think you were rushing a lot." *STRANGLES THE AIR* And then he keeps poking me with his bow, and I just wanna stand up in the middle of the concert, and start hitting him with the metal stand."
ahhhh....it's a lovely little rant, yes? It's even better, because I still hate that nasty twerp. Whatevs. He's last chair now, no longer care.
"I was listening to my radio the other day, and a nice-sounding girl started to play. but then the song ended. And the DJ said, “… and we’re back. That was ‘Baby,’ by Justin Bie-” THAT’S WHAT YOU AMERICANS LISTEN TO??? GET SOMEQUALITY MUSIC ON YOUR IPODSSS!!!"
hahaha...the parody post, that's funny. :)
"*Lynda goes boom* I KNOW IT'S DECEMBER! WOULD YOU STOP TELLING ME IT'S DECEMBER?! I DON'T FRICKIN' CARE IF IT'S DECEMBER! I KNOW ALREADY! STOP TELLING ME IT'S DECEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*SCREAMS LOUDLY AND SHRILLY* *TAKES OFF RUNNING IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION*"
I don't even know what spurred this...hmmm. idk.
It's amusing to read through my old rants, because they stem from really petty things that accumulate, and then I "goes boom" apparently :)
However, I am now mature and no longer rant about petty things. I have control over my loud and overbearing and complaining and dramatic and sometimes('kay, most times) violent emotions/tendencies now :)
Anyways, I have to chant more Greek for the final tomorrow. 'Night!
Luv,
Lynda
P.S. Isn't it funny I sign off with "luv"? Cuz I'm like, the least cuddly/loving/mushy/sappy person out of the Curly Fries...although I did devote a post to Sappy Feelings...but most of it was random old rants...

Before I start the meat of this post, I want to wish Carrie the happiest birthday evarrr!!!
I know xiy made an awesome banner (because I saw it, like, a month ago in bio) that should be put up soon! :D
The Meat of the Post:
For the longest time, I've been thinking about doing some sort of poll or something about "What do you know about the Curly Fries" type thing. Until recently, I've never actually been able to think of a fun and exciting format. However, I decided some time last week that I would just keep it simple. Here are the rules: There are 21 questions/statements about the curly fries listed below. In the comments, write the number of the question and the name of the person it describes best. For example:

IT'S NOT OVER YET (various musings on Harry Potter, and how July 15 is not the end)
Hi there. I'm actually starting this post tonight (Thursday night), because tomorrow is HOLY CRAP JULY 15 and I don't know if I'll actually have time to write out the post then, what with volunteering at the botanical garden all morning and then being stranded at my dad's work with no proper computer/Internet and then going to see HPDH part II (!!!) later in the evening and stuff.
But anyway. The subject of my post today is that, despite all of Virgil's doubts, Harry Potter will never have an ending. Just because the movies are finished does not mean that we should be all moaning over the loss of the franchise entire, because that will never happen.
There will continue to be fanfiction and fanart and new fans and whatever the heck Pottermore is and the theme park and eight-movie all-nighter Harry Potter marathons and countless re-readings and fan conventions and merchandise and witty quotes and, seriously, the list could go on for ages.
It's not like the ending of the movies is going to change anything. Harry Potter was a huge part of people's childhoods, but why can't it be part of adulthood too? It's not like the memories are all suddenly going to vanish. And you really can't stay innocent if you've stuck with Harry for all seven books and all seven-so-far movies from the beginning to the nineteen-years-later end. Just because you can't go see another midnight premiere doesn't mean that everything's suddenly fallen to pieces. You don't have to curl up in a corner and cry your eyes out, Virgil.
Anyway, just think of all the new fans to come. They're not going to let Harry Potter end. The Lord of the Rings movies were over and done with years ago, but there's still plenty of fans out there who'll keep reading the books and introducing hapless victims new people into the fandom. It's the same thing with good old HP, except on an approximately 1000000000x larger scale.
We'll be alright, I'll bet. The future with no more movies really isn't so bleak after all, is it? I should hope not.
But it's not like you're not allowed to be excited for the movies or anything. Squee away, please.
(And guess what? I will be seeing HPDH part II in approximately two hours as of right now. YES.)
So look alive, and don't forget
that's it's not over,
It's not over;
No, it's not over yet!
that's it's not over,
It's not over;
No, it's not over yet!

It's Virgil's BIRFDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today (this very day) is Virgil's (our very own Virgil's) BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was decided earlier that we would leave the site as is (you know, Potter festivities are sort of Virgil's thing) but there will be a new picture (possibly banner) going up soon. AAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VIRGIL!!!!! We all love you sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!! I miss you loads and just reading about reading camp made me feel like I like I was reading about some amazing person that I could only dream of meeting. BUT GUESS WHAT? I actually know you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gah!!!! You just make me wanna bounce up and down. Especially since it's your birthday. I bought you a special present, too (just letting you know). GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was telling all my friends at school today that one of my best friends' birthday is today and they sort of stared at me. I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay. Have an awesome day.
**************
The rest of this post is back to normal Momo:
So, as I have already announced many times, I am in Germanland. Last week was such horrible weather (cold and rainy and gray) but, luckily, things have cleared up. Just in time for school. Bah.
School has been great so far. All the kids (all girls except for 5 boys) are SUPER nice. They all ask me questions like, "What are pilgrims?" and "Are there really cheerleaders?" which normally continues as " Wait, wait, wait. Like, they're real?!?" and I laugh and nod. And then they ask me, "Do you really have the same classes every day?" and I nod and they almost faint.
They are so funny.
It's also lovely because I know most of the stuff that they are doing since we're already done with school.
I love how esily impressed everyone is. I went to band yesterday and sight read music from "West Side Story" and they were all astounded.
I also love the teachers. They barely ever give homework and they are so interested with me. The Latin teacher found it astounding when I told him (and the class. Whenever I talk to a teacher, it becomes really quiet) that I translated Latin into English which I then translate into German.
I just love everything here.
I love the scheduling most of all, though. Every day is a different set of classes starting at 8:00 and going (normally) until 1:00. Some days, like Tuesday, for example, start and hour later. Some days, like today, go until 1:00 with an hour break and then continue until four. But the bestest of all are the days, like tomorrow, that start at 8:00 and end around 10:00.
I really do miss all of you, though. I hope you are all having fun, productive summers!!! :)
Happy birthday, Virgil!!!!!

I Always Forget to Add a Title
Hiiiiiiiii.
I'm really bored. House, Momo, Lynda, and I are going to help out at our old elementary school's annual end-of-school carnival thing tonight, which should be really fun and stuff, but right now I'm bored. English/French finals were okay (I kind of messed up on the English because I am dumb and didn't read teh directionz, but it doesn't really matter, since I've an A in that class anyway). I never was very worried about them.
It's the weekend, woot. Hooray for summer and warmth and sun and nice breezes and watermelon (lots and lots and lots of watermelon) and ice cream and flowers and birds and blue skies and white clouds and green grass and no more school! Hooray for HPDH Part Two! Hooray for Virgil's birthday and my birthday! Happy summer; I hope yours is beautiful. ♥
So I found this song called Forevermore, and it's quite pretty and cutesy and even a little sad. And listening to that song sort of inspired me to draw, and so I did.
(It took a while, but I procrastinated on studying for finals in order to draw it, so it didn't really take that long.)
Um, yeah. I hope you like.
<3,
xiy

Momo: The Happiest Girl in the World, a Memoir
This is a short memoir of my day and the upcoming week*:
As I blissfully walked to school this morning at the early hour of 10:55 am, the single word that kept repeating itself in my mind was "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh".I woke up rather late this morning, around 8:30 am, and, despite the fact that school normally begins at 7:10 on Mondays for me, I was at ease. I stayed in my bed for awhile, staring at the map of Africa looming over my head. I probably would have stayed there had my mother not walked into the house, calling my name. I slowly eased my well-rested body out of bed and slid into my bathrobe and slippers, not bothering to get changed. I walked down the stairs to find my mother, who just returned from exercise class, bearing the most lovely of gifts--a frappucino from Starbucks. I settled into my chair at the breakfast table and sipped my frappucino as I read the comics. I read a magazine and checked Facebook before finally heading back to my room at about 9:30 to take a shower and get dressed.
I lounged around the house with my sister and studied some Greek. Soon enough, it was nearing 10:35 and I got packed for school. I left the house and gleefully sauntered off to school (in full daylight!!!). In my mind, I made fun of the elementary students as I passed the elementary school. I smiled at my elderly neighbor as she drove past, shooting me a confused and somewhat angry glare. I arrived at school and headed to Greek for a super-fun test. The day progressed and I attended band (we got giant pixie sticks! yum!), Latin (yay!), History (meh) and math (HAPPY PI DAYYYY!!!!). Then guess what? I WENT HOME!!! That was all the school I had to endure for the day!!!
If you haven't caught on, dear reader, I hope you've realized that today (this week) was/will be no normal week. No. This week, we will laugh at the sophomores as they partake in state testing and the rest of us--the rest of us lucky chilluns--we get an entire week of school that starts at--wait for it--11:39 am !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Except on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for us Greekers on which school starts at 10:55 on said days.
I enjoy these lazy mornings and short school days so much. I'm pretty sure that this will be the happiest school week of my high school career.
As I've said too many times today, I would gladly donate a month of summer to have a year of school that starts at 11:39 each day. I repeat: GLADLY. Not only does our nearly 3-month-long summer break get a bit tedious after awhile, but the Germans do it [and if the Germans do it, everyone else should too]. In Germany, summer break is only 6 weeks long (next to our 10-and-then-some weeks). In Germany however, school doesn't typically start at noon-ish, but they do get random week long breaks throughout the year. Here's what I think: we start school at 11:39 every day with a rotating schedule, take four weeks off of summer break, and POW! High schoolers are suddenly magically well-rested, grades go up, people are all-together happier, more homework actually gets done, AND we don't have to go to school before it's light outside in winter. Yup. That is the dream life.
Until then, let's just enjoy this week of happiness.
It'll suck next year when we're the ones taking the standardized tests...

2. Is it allowed to write a memoir about the future?

Why?
My post is going to be similar to Momo's post. Except that the format will be in "WHY"'s, and lots of ranting.
****
SIDENOTE: I realized after writing this post that it's split into two parts. One for complaints, and one for HAPPY things. The complaints are in "WHY" format, and the happy things are strung in one huge run-on sentence that my English teacher and xiy and House would be appalled at...if it wasn't so dang happy...If you would like to skip my very interesting and fun(ny) ranting, please scroll down...you should be able to see the rather large words :) Have fun reading!

WHY do teacher's think that they should give you tons of homework when it's THURSDAY? Is it 'cause they believe that it's the day before the day the shouldn't give homework (Friday), so "let's cram in as much stuff as we can before the day!"????????????
WHY is it necessary to gamble all of your points in Final Jeopardy?
WHY did my teammates find it necessary?
WHY did we fricking lose all the points, and then the "Blue Ninjas" won because they were smart enough to leave 100 points?
WHY did I not know the 5 countries/regions that were affected by the war?
WHY is Germany not part of the said "5 countries/regions that were affected by..." World War 1?
WHY is France not part of that^?
WHY is it that whenever I look at something for a while, my glasses start sliding down the non-existent bridge of my nose?
WHY do I have not have a bridge for my nose?
WHY is it that my brother feels like he has to cry EVERY FRICKING DAY for at least 10 minutes?
WHY is it that my sister feels the need to provoke my brother into crying?
WHY does my house feel freezing when I'm at home after school, and then when my parents come home, it warms up again?
WHY do I have to wake up so early tomorrow to go to Greek?
WHY do I keep bumping my head into things?
WHY does my elbow keep jamming into things?
WHY do I have chronic pain in my neck? ACTUAL pain. Like, I have a crik in it the WHOLE DAY.
WHY do I think that I just spelled "crik" wrong, and Firefox did not give it a red squiggly?
WHY did I forget what "chronic" meant?
WHY do I procrastinate to do my homework?
WHY do I have to have a vocab quiz in Greek tomorrow?
WHY do I have the world's most STUPID Physics teacher?
WHY does she dress like a 5 year-old? WHY is she so fricking stupid? WHY does she not know what she's teaching? WHY...etc.
WHY do I have an outline due on Monday that I haven't started yet? (20 or 30 PAGES!!!)
WHY is Momo such a cruel person? She tortured me! She told me the outline ^ was due on FRIDAY!!!
WHY...there's more, but I think this is long enough...
