It looks like recently we've been getting more active again, which is lovely. c:
Anyway, today was a nice day; we had a day off of school and Momo and Virgil came over to do the source of all great unhappiness in the world, i.e. the 40 Questions of APUSH Class. We got through ten, ate dumplings and pineapple, and then went on a walk with Lynda and her siblings to the elementary-school playground. The seesaw there is pretty good, though not a legit seesaw (it has springs :|a) and thus not perfect.
Later, Virgil and I wrote some more of our pottergatsbyfic, which now has a witty and metaphorically resonant title: Borne Back Ceaselessly Into the Past. I also made us an ff.net account tentatively titled shupicorns. We've finished the first two chapters and might post it soon. Harry & Co. travel back in time to fight deatheater!Tom Buchanan and destroy Voldemort's eighth Horcrux, which is actually Gatsby's fabled green light. The metaphors all fit so perfectly; what's not to love?
(Oh and speaking of writing, Lynda and I started a writing journal as well, though as of yet there's not very much on it. I might post pottergatsbyfic up there too; who knows.)
I like Alex Day's music. Not so sure about "Lady Godiva," though. :|
Well, that's about it for today. I will go back to procrastinating on the Internet.

Porridge.
HEllo!
My story was originally going to be longer than it will be, but oh my goodness look at the time! I need to get some sleep so that I will have enough energy to drag my poor dying body out of it's haven of warmth, comfort, and relaxation--the bed. FOR GREEK. Argh. TOo earlllly.
Anyways. Yesterday, my parents were out in the back yard along with my siblings, repaving the lovely stones in our, erm, yard's entrance path-thing. My mom told me to make some porridge (like, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, eh?). I said, obviously, yes. I mean, honestly, manual labor vs. cooking? DUR!
Five minutes after she had left, and I had dug out the bag of porridge flakes/grains/things/dry-stuff/porridge-stuff, I clutched it to me, and realized something.
I didn't know how the heck you make porridge.
Please don't think I'm lacking in necessary life skills. Because, first of all, making porridge is not a necessary life skill. Second of all, I can cook. Sort of. Like, I won't starve if you give me groceries, pots, seasonings, and a stove/oven/microwave to work with (hem, which....I mean, you could always just supply me with the monetary means to get those things...). I'm good a baking. My cakes are lovely.
Back to the story. So I've got a bag of raw (that's what you call it, eh? or is the term 'uncooked'?) porridge in my hands. I went out and asked my mom a...rather humiliating question. "Mom? How do you, er, make porridge, exactly?" She sort of disbelievingly and sarcastically replies, "You add water and turn on the flame" the unspoken "duh" was very much implied. So I went back inside, and I start adding water. I turned on the flame, then realized, heh, I'd forgotten to add the porridge. So I dump a bunch o' the stuff in. It looks fine, I feel like I'm doing this quite well. I turn away, to peel some garlic, and then I hear something. I turn around and--
OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS, it's overflowing!
Ha. So I panic, and completely forget what to do when something is boiling over (to take away the source of heat, dur), and I wave my hands at it, like a magician, frantically yelling, "STOPPIT! PLEASE STOP!!!!" Hey, it works on other chilluns, it should work on porridge. Of course, after a second, I regain my composure and turn off the heat. Works brilliantly. I move the pot to the other stove/heat thing on the stove, and clean up the dirty stove. Now. Repeat this process of overflowing and moving and cleaning 2x.
When the porridge is finally done, I sit back, and sigh with relief. Gah. Well...now I know how to make porridge...or, how not to make porridge.
Before I go to sleep, I might as well paste a little section of a chapter of Siri-Poo (my Harry Potter fanfiction, it's Sirius/OC, if you can't tell). xiy, my editor, has not seen this part yet, so...it's new to all!
****
Gail (my OC) looked with confusion at the tankard of some unknown liquid that Sirius had just thrust into her hands.
"Firewhiskey," he explained, raising his own (slightly more full) tankard.
"Eh, you know we're not at the drinking age yet?" Gail asked, a bit wary of the alcoholic beverage in her hand. Sirius shrugged.
"No one'll know, 'sides, we're celebrating!" This last bit was reinforced by a loud shout of 'HURRAH FOR POTTER! BEST CAPTAIN EVER!' signifying that although it was very late, the Gryffindor house was still up and about. Gail tentatively sipped a bit of the Firewhiskey. It burned as it went down her throat, and she started spluttering, trying to make the horrible feeling go away. Sirius laughed, and after gulping down a bit of his own, reached for Gail's.
"Should of known you can't keep down a drink!" he snickered. Gail looked affronted, and promptly grabbed her drink back. This time, she took a long swig of it, and found it was better than it had been the first time. She swallowed another mouthful. Before long, Gail was guzzling down the Firewhiskey with Sirius by her side, wondering how she could have ever disliked it. She voiced this thought to Sirius. Sirius nodded, although, it was more of a sideways swaying of his Firewhiskey imbibed head.
"I like thissstuff! Issgood!"
"Yeah! Fir-furr-feeur...thisstuffff! Issverry...reffree-freez-frushh....rejoo-juuv-jivanahting...er, coOL!"
****
How'd you like it? Good? I hope. :) Fun little part to write. The hangover should be even more fun to write about :D
Hup, well, it's off to bed we go! *whistles* Heigh-ho heigh-ho, it's off to bed I go!.... yup. Need that sleep.
Ack. Greek. House is smart. Y'know why? She didn't take morning classes like...Greek.
Luv, Lynda

school is almost over. this pleases me.
Hullo.
In English class, we've been reading Romeo and Juliet, which is a play that I both like and hate. One the one hand (<-that is what too much Greek translation does to you; you start using μεν. . . δε everywhere), Shakespeare's language is lovely. There are some bits that I really really like, and of course all the long rambling speeches are fun to read. On the other hand, the characters are kind of annoying (I think my favorite is the prince, only because he seems like the only sensible one and I feel bad for him having to run a city where the two biggest families hate each other and are constantly causing widespread chaos) and/or tiresome and not really sympathetic. So that kind of ruins it.
(I had fun writing an alternate ending, though. I stayed up rather late yesterday to finish. I do hope English Teacher likes it. The great and wondrous SBL helped me come up with a nice, grammatically-correct Latin title. I am pleased.)
Finals are coming up. Ew.
One good thing is that, supposedly, the next week or so in Curlyfryland is actually going to be sunny and warm and without precipitation, i.e., unlike what it has been since basically April. This is exciting. :D
Memorial day is on Monday; happy holiday in advance. (Have fun playing in the parade, you band people.)
Oh, and I drew you a Takumi. (Takumi, for those who aren't familiar, is a character from Looking for Alaska by John Green who has the most amazing hat ever.)
It seems like all my posts nowadays involve me showing you my art. . . I could stop, if you like.
Yeah, that's probably it for today. Do please enjoy the rest of your day.
Cheers (I guess I've finally found a closing phrase),
xiy

sunday sunday sunday look
so.
the most exciting things this week are two concerts bands I'm in are preparing for. the school's getting ready for our ice cream social, which might be a bit muddy. but we get to start marching in preparation for this fall soon. yay ^.^ I miss marching band.
and this local band thing Virgil and I are in is getting ready to wrap up our season, as well.
(also, I want to get more practice with making Dichotomous Keys... *exciting new thing to do during English class*)
speaking of Virgil... she is, as usual, nudging me to write this faster. I should warn you all that your weekly Sunday post might come to you rather late at night, since Sunday night is Homework Time and yeah. procrastination FTL
we just celebrated our lovely anniversary at Momo's house, which was quite fun, since it was a sleepover :) I'm sure pictures or something are gonna be posted soon... I had to miss a lot of it, but we ended up playing with Play-Doh and Momo's trained squirrel, eating cake and cupcakes and other dinner/chocolate things, and watching Starship, Starkid Potter's latest play-thing.
Starship was... um... unique? (link... warning: it's wicked long) where "unique" mean "you'll probably have at least a couple nightmares."
that's about it. sorry there's not much to report on...
I'm going to drag my sleep-deprived body {they woke me up at ten o'clock! >.<} upstairs to shower and go to bed. I need sleep in order to be creative and in excellent shape for fanfic writing with Momo and xiy, which this week should be full of. {check Momo's personal blog for updates} it's a special present for the main characters ^.^
also, don't forget: tomorrow is Lynda's day!!! monday fits her personality so well :)
With all due respect,
House.

I Didn't Forget a Title
Can you believe that theme week is already over? This week has gone by quite fast and now it's Saturday again and my day to post. Today's post comes to in approximately 158 parts. Why are we wasting time? Let's get started!
Cue the theme music: la la la la, la la la la, Virgils's world!!! Virgil loves Harry Potter and Herman too!! That's Virgil's worlld!
Part 1: Harry Potter
OMG I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!! Only 146 days until HP7 Part 2!!!!! Aaaaagh!!!!! The pain is unbearable!!!! I don't think I can last 146 days until it comes out. Thankfully I will be able to read all books through every day until then. In addition, my family has found a Harry Potter themed insane asylum for us insane fans. It is not only all Harry Potter all the time, but I'll have access to the magical world of Harry Potter in Florida 24/7/365. Aren't you guys pumped?!
Part 2: Latin
Latin Convention is this Friday!! House, Momo, and I will all be attending this magical event starting this Friday. I probably will not be able to post (House?) but I think you all will be able to survive. I am sooooo pumped!!!!! I've only made 52 projects, but I will be done the last twelve by Thursday. I love Latin so much. In fact, I love it so much that I will post Lorem ipsum for you all to decipher (and because this parodier does not have enough knowledge in Latin to say anything else).
Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Nunc molestie, sapien in accumsan placerat, nulla ligula molestie odio, non porttitor ligula massa nec libero. Mauris scelerisque, erat quis facilisis porta, dui ligula ultricies est, elementum porttitor dolor mauris eu eros. Duis sollicitudin metus quis libero malesuada elementum. Curabitur sed risus turpis. Nam tempus nulla sed nibh dignissim venenatis. In sed tristique diam. Nullam pretium fermentum lectus. Cras bibendum molestie leo, vel bibendum nunc adipiscing a. Quisque tempor, lorem laoreet pellentesque tempor, tellus orci egestas metus, vel cursus enim mi vel mi. Praesent ac diam leo. Curabitur pulvinar fringilla venenatis.
Part 3: Miscellaneous Things
I was recently accepted to this music group that is really legit and intense. I am so excited!! Music is one of my favorite hobbies. It's one of my best talents, including science, math, writing, tennis, Latin, history, and basically anything else that you can think of. I also really enjoy Fanfiction (ZOMG! I LOVE FANFICTION!), being at church, my boyfriend, The Poof that is no longer <3, and YouTube videos. In fact, I've been watching YouTube for the past 4 and a half hours and got distracted from my post. Oops!
Apparently, the other parts of my post were deleted, but now it's late so I won't rewrite the masterpieces that you all know I have created. Enjoy the next six hours of your day!
Virgil

The Post of "So" (In which I type a lot of so's)
So...it's 2:10pm, and a Thursday-which is why I'm posting. So, erm. I have nothing to say, really...I dunno...what should I write about? So...ah...fanfiction? Sure. So, erm, I've been reading a ton of fanfiction lately...and now I'm obsessed with Harry Potter fanfiction about Sirius&OC...they're quite fun to read. I like the Marauders era...so funny and carefree...ehm. So my mom's watching something...er...it's about these people, in the country...with pigs...funny. Sooooo...Uhm, I have nothing to say. I don't particularly want to go to school. It's fun being able to sleep in and just lounge around all day. Sssso, ummm...I had crew today. It was tiring. I don't like qberts...they're boring. I don't like ab workouts in general. They make me feel so inadequate. Sooooo...that's pretty much all. Have a great rest of the day!
Luv, Lynda
P.S. I forgot to mention homework...yeah. I finished my science homework. Yay. Uhhhh...bye now.

Happy June!
How's life been going? Mine's been going okay, I suppose. There's no ice cream in my house and I really want some, but other than that life's pretty good.
Look, the Tower's back today! Go get your refreshments; I'll just wait here. I'm quite full from my refrigerator-raid snack I had prior to typing this.
There's seven more days of school (ignore our little "days left until the last day of school" counter; that thing counts the weekends too)! Woot! But, see, the only problem with the second-last week of school is that for my school, it's finals week. I mean, really, couldn't the administration make, say, the last two weeks of May finals week? Why now, at the end of the school year, when we should be enjoying ourselves? *Sigh* My school is weird.
Today is the first day of June! Ah, wonderful June! Virgil's birthday is in June; did you know that? Momo and House are going to camp (German and Chinese camp, respectively) in June as well. The 6CLF two-month anniversary will be in June, though we probably won't do anything terribly special for it. Two months isn't really much of a landmark for anything (like, baby clothes are marked "newborn," then "three months," then "six months," and so on; there's never, say, a shirt marked "two months" or "eight months." I guess the clothes companies just really like multiples of three...).
Because I have no life Because I have a death wish Because I feel that I need some new experiences, I have decided to start reading "My Immortal." For those who don't know, My Immortal is a ridiculously bad (it's not called "the worst piece of fanfiction [ever published]" for nothing) fanfiction that is only very loosely based on the Harry Potter universe (sorry, Virgil. I'm not dissing HP, of course. I'm just stating facts). It's about this blatant Mary Sue called "Ebony [sometimes spelled 'Enoby'] Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way" (no, I am not lying; I shall swear that to whichever deity you want me to swear to. It's the truth, honestly!). The entire fanfiction is just basically about Ebony/Enoby whinging about her "specialness," describing her horrible (and supposedly "gothic") clothing in excruciating detail, and having sex with any of the male gender that has the extreme misfortune of passing by her. It's so bad that it got deleted from fanfiction.net, but a lot of websites have reposted it because it's just so tragically funny. Typos are everywhere, and some are quite hilarious. Plus, apparently the original author (Tara something-or-other) co-authored about the first third of the fanfic with her friend, but then they got into some weird fight and so the friend got kicked out and the spelling got even worse. That part was funny. I can feel my brain cells dying from the experience. But then, where else can you get such gems as "Voldemprt's lair," "the only way to kill a vampire is with...a steak," and "Allah Kedavra!"?
Though, on a side note, I found this other HP fanfiction called "The Marauders Read My Immortal," and it's made reading the actual My Immortal so much easier. It doubles the laughs.
If any of you readers (and/or curly fries) feel like subjecting yourself to this menace (but it is funny, I have to say), just Google "my immortal fanfic." The first website that pops up has the entire thing.
If I die from this, I bequeath Archie to Virgil, because she asked me nicely.
Bye, all.
