Today there was supposed to be a fencing tournament and Momo, Virgil, and I were going to attend (and get soundly beaten by the eleven-year-olds, probably), but then it turned out to be an epee tournament (and for those who don't know, epee involves a slightly larger weapon and a larger target area and is generally far scarier than good ol' foil), and none of us know how to fence epee. And so we chose to stay safely at home instead of getting beaten by the adults who are apparently attending, because if there's anything worse than a scary fencing eleven-year-old, it's a scary fencing adult.
Speaking of fencing, I read a book called Foiled about a week ago that talked about fencing. It was kind of interesting to see what a legit fencer's life is like, though the plot got all muddy and strange about three-quarters of the way through, and it wasn't really developed properly. I don't know if there's supposed to be a sequel or if it was just because it was a graphic novel and there was some sort of restraint on length, but the plot was very badly explained toward the end. The drawing style was very good, though. And some of the double-page illustrations were really beautiful.
Also, I'm really tired. Today wasn't even a Greek day (and I fell asleep at ~10:30 last night too, which, all things considered, is fantastically early), but I woke up tired and the biology test didn't help at all, though I'm cautiously hoping that I didn't do too badly.
And I really should be doing homework right now, but since I came home I've basically just been sitting around at home, eating and reading Agatha Christie. I really must have no life. (Agatha Christie is lovely, though. I'm reading The Mirror Crack'd at the moment, in a four-in-one Miss Marple Meets Murder book.)
The start of NHD is looming up rather scarily already, even though it's not completely due until January. APUSH Teacher is hinting pretty heavily that any boards (should we choose that option) are going to need to be MUSEUM QUALITY!11!1! and nothing less, which, uh, considering the state of last year's Robespierre board, might be rather difficult. But House and I are hoping for the best. :)
I was going to say something but then I forgot what I was going to say, and now I can't think of anything remotely interesting and so I guess I'll end it here. Or something.
I WILL TRY TO DRAW SOMETHING AND POST IT NEXT WEEK TO MAKE MY POST ACTUALLY INTERESTING. I WILL TRY.

When We Were Young (pt. 1)
Hello!!
It's Thursday! I had a lovely day today; in Bio, we are learning sooo much (and it's interesting) and in math we took a quiz that got interrupted by a fire drill that we get to finish tomorrow; I learned that in English class every Friday we get to have free reading time; we (the 6LCF) are having a book club with our old English teacher next week; I went "fencing" with Virgil; I had a great clarinet lesson; and I had basically only APUSH homework!
After reading Virgil's post and seeing xiy's comment about a theme week I thought we should have another "when we were young" theme. I guess I'll just continue it [this is rather impromptu so I don't know if everyone is willing/able to do this].
I found this old journal where I wrote stories (most about fairies, elves, etc.) from when I was 9. The writing quality is not nearly as good as Virgil's was but...yeah. Okay.
Here it is.
Melodine's Elves
Once upon a time there was a young girl who was very lonely. She lived in a cottage in the woods with her mother and father. There was no on to play with because her kind father worked at a shoe shop and her loveing mother worked on sewing clothes for her family. [That obviously explains why she's lonely...]
So every day young Melodine played in a place where 20 trees grew in a circle. It made a fine play area for her. She would play house with a doll her mother had sewn out of extra cloth and cotton. Sadly house got boring and Melodine wanted to go somewhere other than the circle of trees.
So young Melodine made up her mind to go and explore. The next day Melodine put a buttered roll, a tin cup (in which she would put water) and tied it up in a hankercheif and hung it on a stick and set out to see the woods ahead of her.
After quite some wandering Melodine sat down next to a tree and drank her water and ate her roll. When she finished she started to walk again. A few minutes later she saw something quite peculiar, it was a small group of tiny houses.
TO BE CONTINUED WHEN I AM NOT AS TIRED... (this was all handwritten and really sloppy and omg....)
I'll finish later, I swear!

Elton John is a good person! :D
Yeah, don't ask. I literally just woke up from a 2 hr? nap. Maybe 2 1/2 hours. -.- Meh.
Uh, yeah, spring break is this week, but it's Wednesday, so it's kind of almost over. Not really, though. I personally think teachers are crazy for giving us homework. They call it a break for a reason!
*Iamsoooootiredddddd* D: blarrrggg. And I seem to have misplaced my phone. :/ Oh, never mind, found it. :)
Uh, so today in the morning, my grandma, my mom, and I went exercising at Curves. That was, I guess you could say, fun. Then we went home and I took my first nap of the day. Then we went to go get lunch. Then we went to this art museum. I like art museums, for the most part. Especially the one in my home city. :)
Thennnn... we went to go get ice cream at this charming little ice cream shoppe. ^_^ The men who worked there had to wear bow-ties, and it was simply darling. The ice cream was quite lovely, (and homemade) too. :) Then I was so exhausted that, when we came home, I fell asleep. Again. For like, 2 - 2 1/2 hours. Yay.
Goodness! There were lots of grammar mistakes!
Sooo That's my day. Hope you enjoyed your own. ^.^ yeah, bye!
DFTBA! <3
Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

bleh.
Hi.
I'm really tired, and I still need to write body paragraphs for English. Ew.
*grunt, mumble*
People don't understand... so it just doesn't make any sense to put my analogies :/ I would go on a ranting spree, but that wouldn't be nice. but I am not too happy right now. People are just... erg. >.< fine. No more Miss nice Carrie. I just don't get it. Do people really think that I'm just here for decoration? That I don't notice things around me? That I actually *notice* not being included? (I would say 'ignored' but then people would put up a debate that "they're not ignoring me" and people. always. win. debates. especially against me because I'm such a friggin' push over.) geez. I don't care that I'm ranting, either. I've had enough of this! And I bet that either people are gonna ask "Oh, what's wrong?" and then not listen to what I have to say and make up excuses and not care at all about how *I'm* feeling or they just won't ask at all. Can't people just be real for once? I'd definitely appreciate it.
And NO, I am not talking about the 6LCF, although some things irk me here too :/ but just in life. I have a life. Isn't that what this blog is about? What's happening in our lives without mentioning specific names? Yeah, exactly.
No more Miss nice Carrie. I'm done being pushed over.
And I really don't care that almost nothing in this post is grammatically correct. I don't care today.

Hiya.
Guess who went to bed past midnight last night and woke up before 11? (actually, I woke up even before 10 :3 ) Yay.
Uh, just gonna keep this kind of short, I guess...
Plans for today? Present wrapping, gotta finish the bracelet for my cousin, basically Christmas stuff. I'm about to have crepes for breakfast. Yum.
Well then, it's never too early to write a post... or be on Facebook. Eh... Actually, it's not all that early, I'm just a lil loopy since I kind of just woke up.
Happy Christmahannukwanza. ^_^ Happy Holidays and Happy New Year, y'all!!
DFTBA! ♥
Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie
P.S. - How long have we had another follower?? (TK?)

Hello, I must be going...
Well, hello there!
I apologize for the incredibly short post. :( but starting next week it'll go back to normal-ish length.
Guess who gets to be sleep deprived for 48+ hours! ^_^ Oh, the joy...
"Why?" you might ask. Well, you see tomorrow (Thursday) I get to wake up at the lovely hour of 5 30 AM for school and will be staying fully awake until 11 30 PM because of marching band. Which also means that I will be receiving less than 5 hours of sleep since I have to wake up at around 4 AM to be at my school by 6 AM since my exchange student is going home. *extreme sad face*
Although, today was a good/ bad day. even though I was entirely out of it the entire day I did learn a fair share of good news and have a couple of decent events (despite falling almost into the street).
Ugh! I give up on typing... I'm failing at thinking. I apologize. ):
Next week you'll probably be happier with my post. I promise.

*insert incredibly witty title here*
Hello, you!
Today has been a quite wonderful day for a variety of reasons. And coincidentally (although I don't believe in coincidences) my good days always turn out to be Wednesdays. ^_^ *surprise surprise* and my birthday's on a Wednesday this year. But anyways... today's been a good day. (Have I already mentioned that?) I got a 100% on my geometry quiz, received a lot of compliments on my new haircut (Thanks, guys ^.^), um... went to German club... let's see, what else happened today? Well, a lot of good stuff happened today that I am proud to inform you, my lovely reader, about.
( a good possible hour later...)
Dreadfully sorry, technical difficulties... and homework. Lots of homework. >.< Darn you, high school! Gr... I didn't get home until like 6 PM, and now it's 11 PM. And I am very very very very tired. I want to sleep... but I must. go. on. to. finish. post. *Neh*
Mm... what am I thinking? What *am* I thinking?
Oh! Well, as some of you may know, I am receiving a foreign exchange student (from Germany) very soon and I am quite pleased to announce that I have gotten a response via email from her. ^_^ Yay. Only a few more weeks until she comes. I'm so excited! *squeals with joy.*
And to my other curly fries, I unfortunately cannot join you in your super duper amazing adventure to Build-A-Bear Workshop. D: And for my reason why? I'll have to tell you at school.
Agh. I'm sorry, I really am too tired to go on... but I believe that this was a fairly good post.
DFTBA♥
Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie
