Name Change and VIDEO

Hey all.

So originally, I wanted to post the brand new 6LCF video of QWOP...but it's not done loading, and I have to go to sleep...so it's not going to be posted today. However, it will definitely be done tomorrow, so I shall post it tomorrow, okay? Sorry for the wait and the disappointment. I tried to make it upload faster, but 'Crucio' doesn't seem to work on Youtube. *sigh* Muggle inventions are so annoying >.< Know that the video is amazing, and will knock your socks off! It's soooo awesome! :D

Anyways, since I can't post the video, I really don't have much to post about. It's summer, and so my extremely-boring-and-short posts will probably start up again. However, today, I have a very important thing to announce! I, Lynda, will be changing my pseudonym to "Kat" (for those of you who didn't know it, our names are FAKE. dur dur dur. I mean come on, who's real name is 'xiy' or 'House'??? (the show does not count)) The name Lynda is not as anonymous as I would like it to be, so...as a belated anniversary thing (hehehe) I will be changing it to Kat. Hope y'all don't mind, as I'll be the same person, but with a different name. I do like the name Kat...

Have a great night! (*yawn*)

Luv,
Lynda/Kat*

*I'll be signing like this for about 2 more times, just so you guys can get used to the idea.

recent scarring events.

ohai.
If you've been paying attention at all, you should know I'm a paranoid little child who lives in constant terror of jellyfish, horror movies, and jellyfish.
But little House was an even more weird House, and there was one aspect of many birthday parties, trips to amusement parks, sporting events, and street fairs that terrified the crap out of me.
Those freakin people dressed up as things.
Like, at Disney World? The characters that walk around?

"WHY... HELLO THERE, LITTLE GIRL."

Yeah, those. *shivers*

Anyway. So a couple nights ago, Lynda, xiy, and I volunteered at a local public library to help out with this annual ice cream social. When the nice lady organizing the whole event had called me ~a week ago, I'd said whatever job was okay. Like, giving kids temporary tattoos can't be any more enriching than, like, running the sidewalk chalk station, right? Wrong.

Upon arrival, I discovered that my job was being the Summer Reading Bee's Helper.
"THIS CHILD LOOKS PARTICULARLY SCRUMPTIOUS TONIGHT."
(I swear, the actual costume looks exactly like that.) [Minus the eyebrows.]

So, I thought I would be let off "easy" and only have to escort this waddling bundle of bloody nightmares and terror for two hours. But no. The girl in the bee outfit got "overheated" after a few minutes, so I got to take a turn in the bee costume of hideous murder and death.

I felt really bad for a lot of the kids... they would be like, "No, mommy! No bee!! NO BEE!!!" And the mom would be like, "Oh, but look how friendly :D :D :D Hugs for the bee! Hugginggggg!"* And the kid would be like, "AHHHH NO BEE NO BEE NO BEE NO BEE NO BEE D: D:  DX DX DX"
I totally sympathise with the kids. *sighs*

Also, I suck at being the bee. My glove fell off once -.-"

Inside smelled of incense and lady shampoo. After showering twice (I'm going for a third in a couple minutes), I still can smell traces of it in my hair.
And that's been my weekend.

With all due respect,**
House.
**Unless you're someone who routinely dresses up in those freaking costumes. In your case, you also deserve many memories of horrified faces of poor, scarred children. And also a lifetime of guilt for damaging those poor kid's psyches so badly.
*In that blasted costume, btw, "hugging" means (since you can't see much below your shoulders. two year-olds are rather short.) feeling random, sudden, and oddly gentle {considering the material for the costume was rather thick} contact on your waist-to-knee region. Such the greatest way to spend a Friday night...

Flashlight tag and parades. fun fun fun!!

Hillo!

:D
Happy Saturday!
I am currently chilling with 4/6 (including moi) 6LCF. We are enjoying Pink lemonade and orange juice. Mmmmm....
We just got back from a lovely parade and a circle in our city. Originally, it was just Momo and me, and then we found xiy, and then we found Lynda*. Virgil is going on a trip so she, unfortunately, could not join us, and House has no idea what time we're supposed to be here sooo...... yeah. lawls. Hopefully she'll read this. :)
Anyway, we're about to go down to a square to get ingredients for s'mores. mm-mm-mm...

Soooo... back to my life: yesterday I hung out with Eggr. It was fun. We watched White Chicks and schtuff. yeah. fun. :)

uhhhhh....

I'm just gonna go now. yeah? yeah. okay bye.
DFTBA!♥

Virgil, have fun on your trip.

*Lynda is potentially changing her name to Kyt/Kat/Kayt (pronounced 'Kat'). Stay updated on that to avoid shock in future posts.

Smiles, hugs, and lots of love,
Carrie

it still doesn't feel like summer.

It's cold and rainy today and it feels like I should be doing homework (well, technically I should be; silly APUSH). But I'm not, because I am writing this post. And because it is cold and rainy, it doesn't feel like summer.

(Why is it that, if it's not unbearably hot in Curlyfryland, it's cold and grey and raining nonstop? Ugh. I would love a nice, sunny, pleasantly warm day that is supposed to occur between the months of April and June that we got maybe two or three of this year. :|)

Anyway.

Unlike Virgil and Momo and probably most of the other Curly Fries, I shall be staying solidly at home this summer. I would love to go to Europe or China*, but I don't think it's going to happen, which is unfortunate. So I'll get to enjoy more of Curlyfryland's bipolar weather (at least we're not getting tornadoes, which is definitely a plus). Whee.

I keep talking about the weather. This must be boring you. I shall stop.

Do you know how many days are left until HPDH part II? 35. THIRTY-FIVE DAYS. /flail.
I just watched the part II trailer yesterday (because a) I didn't know there was a separate trailer until a few weeks ago silly me; and b) I wanted to save the sudden spike of anticipation resulting from trailer-viewing for a later, more manageable date) and AHHHHHH. /flails some more.

I think that's pretty much it for today. Goodbye.

xiy

*So I got my Greencard stuff sorted out (finally; it's been ~six years), and so now I can go to other places with slightly less hassle. And my mother wants me to go to China to take etiquette lessons. (Well, I mean, there's the whole visit-the-relatives-and-go-sightseeing thing, but etiquette classes or whatever is what stuck out.) Gee, thanks, Mom. Glad you think that's a priority. >.>"

Are You Sure It's Summer?

Today is the last day of school for the elementary-middle school students. It seems as if it's been an eternity since our last final on Monday, but it still doesn't quite feel like summer.
 Yes, it's hot.
Yes, it's unbearably muggy.
Yes, I've eaten an unusual amount of ice cream.
But no, it does not feel like summer yet. Odd.

I'm sad.
I was supposed to go to work with my daddy today. I was very excited.
I packed some books (APUSH eeeewww) and laid out some clothes, set my alarm and went to bed.
Then, when I woke up at 8:45 this morning instead of 6:15, I became very upset.
Shortly after, my dad called home to see if I was awake. He said I was sleeping, so he didn't wake me up.
My stupid alarm clock slows itself down and ends off being a few hours off by the time it's supposed to go off. Grrr.

So, the 6LCF have some new plans for this weekend. There's a cool parade where we live next Saturday. We're all going to Carrie's house and then we'll take the train to the parade. When that's over, we'll train back over to my house where we will hang out until it's dark and then play flash-light tag.
Also, yesterday we QWOPed but Carrie wasn't there which sort of caused tension but it's all good now.
I'm trying to fit as many activities with other human beans into my day as possible before I go to Germanland. I want to have fun before I go to school again.

Speaking of which! I don't know if I even formally explained my Germanland trip. On the 18th (a week and 2 days from today) I will be shipped off to Germanland to live with some friends for about 5 1/2 weeks. I'll go to school for a few of those weeks and then take a train up north for my uncle's 60th birthday party. I will probably still be able to post. I think.

To everyone else: What are your plans for the summer (if any)? Don't say doing homework/studying. That doesn't count.

I can't wait until Saturday!!! Woot!

Love,
Momo

P.S. Have any of you looked through your old posts? I just looked at the ones from around this time last year. It is so weird to see how our style has/hasn't changed and reminisce on the olden days.
P. P. S. I just had an idea!!!! What if we each wrote letters to ourselves in the future and had them be posted on a certain day in the future? Yes, no?

First Day of Summer Vacation!!!

School's out!!! Our last final exam was yesterday afternoon (I DIED) but now we're all alive and we're FREEE!!! Summer has been quite nice so far. It has included pizza, frozen yogurt, and then more pizza. Today was the Latin Club picnic. I ate lots of pretzels. Yumm. But now I have a bit of a tummy ache. *sadface*

Oh, theme song time!
La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! La la la la, la la la la, Virgil's world! Virgil loves the summer, and pretzels too! That's Virgil's worrrlllddd!!!

So yeah, summertime. Yippee! It's nice to have no homework, but I actually have a big long list of things that I want to get accomplished this summer. I shall share this list with you, since that's basically all that's on my mind right now.

Things Virgil Wants to Accomplish This Summer

1. Do summer reading for APUSH & English (this one's kind of obvious, but I figured it should be here)
2. Complete at least 3 (high-quality) projects for Convention 2012.
3. Finish the book that I'm working on (which is like 1/4 of the way done at the moment).
4. Get in-shape. RUN, VIRGIL, RUN!! (In the absence of ever taking gym again.)
5. Do the independent study Health course (because I don't have time for it in my schedule)
6. Go to Reading Camp & have lots of fun!! :)
7. GET PUMPED FOR HPDH2!!!
8. GO SEE HPDH2!!!
9. Repeat #8 as many times as deemed necessary.
10. Go to Kentucky & have lots of fun!! :)
11. Go to the UK & have lots of fun!! :)
12. Band camp yayyyy.

So, uh, yeah. That's twelve things I have to accomplish. I think I'm going to try to accomplish a least three things each day this summer. So for example, my schedule for today looks like:
1. Host Latin Club picnic. (ACCOMPLISHED!!)
2. Practice flute. (NOT YET ACCOMPLISHED!!)
3. Go to flute lesson. (NOT YET ACCOMPLISHED!!)

*sigh* you guys probably don't care about all these things I want to accomplish, but uh, I don't feel like coming up with anything different to post about. (That's why this post isn't listed as one of the accomplishments for the day.)

I shall leave you with this wonderful graphic for your visual pleasure:

Eugepae!
Best wishes!
Virgil

SCHOOL. IS. OVER!!!!!

Today was the last day* of school!
YAY!!!!
Today was also the day of the math final >.< That was bad. It was also history final, but that's so easy, we'll just skip it, eh?

The math final started off with true and false which was okay, and then to formulas, and then to geometry questions. Last part was algebra. It took me 2 hours, and 40 minutes to do the whole final. Anyways, I was fine 'til the geometry part. That part was like mud. I slogged through it, and then I saw the algebra, and I was like, "LAND HO!!!" After that, I checked it over, but guess who's luck is horrible??? ME!
I'm checking through it, and then my phone rings. I usually have it on silent, but it's RINGING! So I go and jab at the phone through my backpack (cuz pulling it out would mean acknowledging that it's my phone ringing...) until it stops. Then, seconds later, it rings again. It does this, like, 10 times before it FINALLY stops. Oh my gosh, I was so worried that a proctor would come over and take my test and rip it into tiny shreds while screaming, "CHEATER!" ahh...nightmares we get sometimes...

So I don't have much to write about besides that I HAVE NOTHING TO DO! Like, there's no homework! That's just so cool! I HAVE NO HOMEWORK!!!!!

Ooh, I forgot, I'm volunteering at our Botanical Garden, and I'm working in the Garden Store part of it. It kinda makes me feel awkward, cuz I like, think plants are pretty (the ones with the flowers), but have no idea what is what...and now I have the most un-plant-related job at the Botanical Garden, ever. Seriously though, it just kinda makes me feel bad. And then Virgil mentioned today that she felt that volunteering at a check-in station is not exactly giving back to the community...and I'm working at a check-out station...so...yeah. Hmm. Well, someone has to work there, and it might as well be me! :)

I changed the cursor to sunglasses...you know, for the upcoming sunny days of SUMMER BREAK!!!!!!!!!!

Yup. That means I'll finally get around to writing that Siri-poo fanfiction of mine, and then re-writing my whole NaNoWriMo in time for the June 30th expiration date on my free proof copy...after I catch up on my sleep.

Luv,
Lynda

*except House, cuz she still has Chinese Finals tomorrow *points and laughs*
