Momo's Yosemite Experience :O

Hello, urban people of the world! I am reporting for duty today (Saturday) because today is the only day I will have internet access for a while. As my last post [hopefully] clarified, I am in Yosemite National Park. Wait, did I even tell you that in the last post? I don't even remember. But anyway, it is B-E-A-U-tiful. On the first day here my dad and I took a crack-climbing class. Now, what this basically is, is climbing under the influence of Crack/Cocaine. It was very fun. Haha. Just kidding! I would never do drugs. Drugs are bad. And illegal. It really is just climbing up a smooth flat rock and using cracks to wedge your hands and feet into. Some of these cracks may be infested with bats. That look at your hand like it's a juicy steak, just waiting to be devoured in a slow, painful, and bloody manner. That was nice.
On the second day some friends of ours came from San Fransisco. We all went hiking to this lake in the mountains. The water was absolutely frigid (it was melted mountain snow...so, yeah) but we were so hot from hiking that we went in anyway. There was also a gigantuous rock in the middle that we went over to. We climbed off and jumped the 15 feet into 7 foot deep [absolutely ice cold!!!!!!!!!!!] water.
Day 3: I saw a bear!!!!! It was so cool! I was getting hot chocolate around 7am (yes, House. I woke up at around 6 am) and there in this apple tree was a bear! It didn't see me though, and I quickly went on my way. Later that day we hiked up to Lower Yosemite Falls (which really can't be considered hiking) and climbed around in the water. On the way back to camp we found some purple underwear. We kept it. Meanwhile, the two dads (my dad and our friends' dad) hiked to the top of Half Dome. Click here for more info.
Day four was the last day for our friends here. We went rafting in the Merced River and took our own good time. In this time we:
                               1. Jumped off a bridge.
                               2. Went swimming in the freezing water.
                               3. Made new friends.
                               4. With our new friends, helped in barricading the river.
                               5. Tried to jump off another bridge, but a ranger was watching us.
                               6. Stole a giant bag of chips, pretzels, and granola bars.
Our friends then left, and we were all alone at our RV. At around 9:30 pm we went with this photography guy to El Capitan. We watched people climbing the side (well, the light from their flashlights) and saw a giant shooting star. It was so amazing!
Alright, there is a line for the computer so I'll finish up quickly. Today we went hiking up a very steep trail in the full California heat. Then we hiked down and got ice cream and showers. Now I'm here.
I miss my bed very much (I've slept in a tent every night, despite the fact that we have an RV) but I don't want to come home too soon! I like Lynda's idea of the theme and stuff and hope we can start that soon. Bye!!!!

Momo
