This is Going Better than I'd Hoped

The title of this post is totally snagged off of a NaNo forum title, but it really does fit.
I've hit 10K today! Woot!
Thought it's only because of the fact that there's no school today that I've gotten this far. I don't expect the rest of NaNo to go by this easily--and I'm surprised by just how easy it is for me to tell the beginning of my story so easily this year. It's nice.
I expect I'll get really bogged down sometime around the middle of November, though.
I don't want to get cocky and overconfident, but hey--10,000 words is 1/5 of the way through! I'm making good progress.
Of course, there are people who've hit 20K already and they're well on their way to more, but whatever.
Dunno if I'm going to type more today; I want to go steadily, and I don't want to hit a place where I have no idea what to write about too quickly. If Momo, Virgil, or Lynda keep going, I might write some more.

Anyway, I'm not going to write any more; why waste words on a blog post when I could be writing my novel?
So I'll do the setup Momo mentioned yesterday--current wordcount and last sentence--and I'll be done for today.

Wordcount: 10,006
Last sentence: She followed her sister down the sidewalk, marveling at her choice, and finally asked, “So where are we going?”

  1. Wow, way to make your reader's feel special. "Why waste words on a blog post"?!

  2. @House's dad: Well, of course. It's November; exceptions need to be made.

[And anyway, it's not like anybody ever reads this blog except the rest of the Curly Fries. Nobody ever bothers to comment if they do. I don't even know why our followers are following if they never comment.]
